7: Really thin, feels good
On the deck, Gu Nianqiu was still excitedly spinning in circles, thrilled by the battleship's cool cyberpunk light effects, her twin ponytails tracing lively arcs.
Gu Zhixia stood beside her, arms crossed, but her brows were slightly furrowed.
"Nianqiu, be careful what you say from now on," her voice was very low, carrying a warning tone.
"Huh? What did I say?" Gu Nianqiu stopped spinning, her small face a picture of confusion.
"We are living under someone else's roof now," Gu Zhixia's tone became a bit more serious, "His kindness to us is a favor, not an obligation. You can't always be so disrespectful; if you anger him one day and he kicks us off the ship, out on this vast ocean, we sisters will be dead for sure."
Upon hearing this, Gu Nianqiu nonchalantly stuck out her tongue, ran over, and linked arms with Gu Zhixia, shaking her arm playfully.
"Oh, big sister, you just overthink things too much! Brother Mo is such a nice person, handsome and with abs, and his ship is so amazing. He's not the stingy type!" She leaned close to her sister's ear, lowering her voice, and said with an air of "I'm a good judge of character," "And I feel like Brother Mo really likes us, especially you, big sister ~"
"You!" A faint blush spread across Gu Zhixia's cheeks; she was both angry and helpless.
Her sister was just too carefree, daring to say anything.
She shook her head, unable to argue with her, and could only let her be.
Inside the cockpit, Lin Mo had already opened the system map.
A semi-transparent, technologically advanced star map unfolded before him, clearly marking various information within a hundred-kilometer radius of the sea. They had just departed from the starting island and were sailing on the vast ocean towards the Misty Sea.
System Notification: A resource point has been discovered 30km away. Hostile situation unknown.
A resource point was exactly what he wanted.
Lin Mo's lips curved slightly, and with a light tap of his finger on the control panel, the massive hull of the Natural Selection smoothly changed direction, cutting through the waves towards the flashing coordinates on the map.
The battleship sailed at an extremely high speed, plowing two long white wakes across the sea surface.
Soon, they had traveled another twenty kilometers.
System Notification: Natural Selection has leveled up to LV3, gaining 10 Ship Exchange Points.
Lin Mo immediately used the exchange points to unlock the super capacitor module.
System Notification: super capacitor has been unlocked. Current power is 90%. Estimated time to full charge is 30 minutes.
Lin Mo leaned back comfortably in the spacious captain's chair, waiting for the energy storage to complete. This downtime was perfect for him to organize his thoughts.
Just then, the cockpit door slid open silently, and Gu Zhixia walked in.
She was wearing that striking pink and purple jk uniform, which perfectly accentuated her well-exercised figure.
A pair of long, straight, beautiful legs were exposed, full of power.
"Where's Nianqiu?" Lin Mo asked casually.
"Oh, her," Gu Zhixia's tone carried a hint of indulgence, "She played too hard, got tired, and went back to her room to sleep."
"Alright, come sit here," Lin Mo patted the co-pilot's seat.
Gu Zhixia didn't refuse, quietly sitting beside him. Her posture was very proper, legs together, back straight; even when resting, she had a soldier-like crispness.
Inside the cockpit, there was only the low hum of the ship's operation and the colorful lights flowing on the walls, creating a moment of silence.
"My sister and I have never had family since we were young."
Gu Zhixia suddenly spoke, her voice much deeper than usual. She looked out at the endless deep ocean, her eyes somewhat unfocused.
"I worked very hard to raise her. She seems carefree, but she's actually very timid and clingy. I don't want her to suffer any more grievances, especially in this godforsaken place."
She turned her head, and those eyes, usually sharp as an eagle behind her gold-rimmed glasses, now showed a hint of pleading. She rarely looked at people with such a vulnerable posture, which made her feel somewhat uncomfortable, her fingers unconsciously curling.
"So, Lin Mo... if my sister says or does anything wrong, please don't hold it against her. She's just a child who hasn't grown up yet. If there are any problems... you can take it out on me."
After she finished speaking, as if all her strength had been drained, she turned her gaze back to the window, leaving Lin Mo with a tense profile.
Lin Mo didn't answer immediately.
His gaze slid from her tense jawline, past her slender neck, and further down... landing on her long, straight legs.
She was still wearing those black sheer stockings, thin as cicada wings.
The black stockings tightly encased her calves and thighs, shimmering with a delicate and alluring luster under the flowing colorful lights of the cockpit, outlining full and firm curves, every inch filled with mysterious and sensual tension.
Lin Mo couldn't help but look twice.
His gaze was too direct, carrying an undisguised invasiveness.
Gu Zhixia's body stiffened for a moment; she could clearly feel his gaze burning on her legs. She didn't turn around, only averted her head, her voice squeezed out from between her teeth, with an uncontrollable tremor.
"Does it look good?"
Her voice was cold, as if challenging, yet also as if hiding her panic.
Lin Mo didn't avert his gaze, answering frankly.
"It looks good."
Two words, simple, direct, yet more impactful than any flowery language.
Gu Zhixia's ears instantly turned crimson. She suddenly turned back, glaring at him with her phoenix eyes that were misty with tears, like an enraged cat.
"Stop looking!"
Her voice was urgent and shy, with a soft, sweet quality she hadn't even noticed herself.
"Focus on the road!"
Lin Mo ignored her protest and instead leaned slightly towards her.
He reached out and touched the thin layer of stocking.
Delicate, smooth, with astonishing elasticity.
His fingers slowly, almost imperceptibly, traced the taut muscle lines.
"Hiss..."
Gu Zhixia gasped, her body trembling uncontrollably. A strange, tingling current instantly shot through her entire body from the touched spot, making her legs weak, almost unable to sit still.
Lin Mo's movements didn't stop; his fingers, with a strange magic, gently circled that area.
He lowered his head, leaned close to her ear, his voice deep and magnetic.
"It is indeed thin, feels good."
Gu Zhixia's cheeks were already so red they looked like they could drip blood. She bit her lower lip, her breathing becoming rapid. Reason told her she should immediately push this man away and slap him, but her body betrayed her, too weak to muster any strength.
Her mind was a mess, only the words she had just spoken echoing.
"If there are any problems... you can take it out on me."
After a long while, as if she had used all her strength, she squeezed out a few broken syllables from her throat, her voice as faint as a mosquito's hum.
"You can touch... but... you have to promise to take good care of my sister..."
Lin Mo's movements stopped, but his palm remained on that warm, smooth surface, feeling the slight tremor of the muscles beneath his hand.
He looked up, meeting her misty eyes, filled with humiliation and stubbornness, and suddenly smiled.
"Don't worry."
His voice returned to its usual calm, yet it carried an irresistible certainty.
"I plan to take good care of both of you."
Gu Zhixia was stunned by his words.
She looked into Lin Mo's deep eyes, momentarily unable to tell how much of his statement was a promise and how much was teasing.
She only felt her cheeks grow hotter, as if they could fry an egg.
She abruptly pushed Lin Mo's hand away, sprang from her seat, creating distance between them, and growled in a show of bravado.
"Who needs you to take care of them! Don't... don't be so presumptuous!"
After saying that, she turned to flee the cockpit that had left her flustered and uneasy.
"Hey," Lin Mo's voice came from behind her, "The super capacitor is almost charged; get ready, we're about to take off."
"Take... take off?"
Gu Zhixia's steps halted.
She suddenly turned back and looked at Lin Mo.
Lin Mo pointed to a module icon on the control panel that had changed from gray to bright blue.
Flight Module
Current Power Reserve: 99.9%
Estimated 10 seconds until minimum energy consumption for a single takeoff is met.
Gu Zhixia was completely frozen in place, her flushed face filled with disbelief.
