75: cheers!!!

The two of them, conversing back and forth, quickly finalized the preliminary plan for the entire farm.

The warm sunlight streamed through the dome onto them, and as they looked at the hopeful fields before them, an unprecedented sense of peace and stability welled up in their hearts.

This was no longer just a cold weapon of war.

Here, it was slowly transforming into a self-sufficient home, capable of weathering any storm.

Just then, a rich, almost domineering aroma of meat, mixed with the sweet freshness of some exotic plant, wafted over from the living quarters, precisely capturing their attention.

“Dinner’s ready—!”

Gu Nianqiu’s clear voice, tinged with a hint of playful pride, echoed through the ship’s intercom, reaching every corner of the farm.

Lin Mo and Gu Zhixia exchanged glances, both seeing a smile in the other’s eyes.

They left the farm and returned to the multi-functional dining room on the upper deck of the ship.

Here, it faced a massive curved viewport, beyond which lay an endless, magnificent sea of clouds.

On a long table covered with a white tablecloth, three exquisite dinners, like works of art, were already laid out.

“Ta-da!”

Gu Nianqiu, wearing a cute pink bear apron, carried the last soup bowl, prancing over like a little squirrel presenting a treasure.

“To celebrate our fruitful return, my specially prepared super luxurious harvest feast now begins!”

Her voice was filled with unconcealed pride and joy.

In the center of the table were three perfectly pan-fried thick-cut steaks.

The surface of the steak was an enticing caramelized brown, with clear marbled beef patterns spreading across the cross-section of the meat, and the fatty edges were still sizzling with glistening oil.

This was precisely the marbled beef brought back from Silent Mountain Villa.

It was accompanied by several glowing, exotic vegetables, stir-fried to retain their original color and form, looking full of Life.

Lin Mo picked up his knife and fork and gently cut a small piece of steak.

The blade met almost no resistance, smoothly slicing through the firm meat, and pink juices instantly seeped slightly from the cut.

He put the beef into his mouth.

An indescribable, rich and mellow meaty aroma instantly exploded on his taste buds.

The meat was tender and melted in his mouth; the rich fatty aroma perfectly blended with the lean meat, transforming into a pure, warm torrent of energy that spread from his mouth to his limbs, every cell cheering for it.

A brand new system prompt slowly appeared in his mind.

“You have consumed ‘Nianqiu’s Special marbled beef Steak’, Physique attribute permanently +1.”

Lin Mo’s eyes suddenly lit up.

Permanent bonus!

He looked at Gu Zhixia, noticing that her face also showed a hint of unconcealed astonishment.

“Wow! This is so delicious!”

Gu Nianqiu also took a bite, happily narrowing her eyes, her little feet swinging cheerfully under the table.

“I feel like I’ve grasped something…”

She tilted her small head, a thoughtful expression on her face.

“It seems that as long as I use these special ingredients, the dishes I make become different!”

“It’s not just ‘different’.”

Gu Zhixia took another bite of the glowing, emerald green vegetable next to her.

Crisp, refreshing, a fresh energy dissolving within her body.

“You have consumed ‘Glowing Spinach’, Spirit attribute permanently +1.”

“Alright, don’t just focus on eating.”

Gu Nianqiu, as if presenting a treasure, picked up a bottle of dark red wine with an elegant bottle design from a nearby small cart.

It was the bottle of Estate Vintage.

She carefully poured wine for the three of them; the deep red liquid gently swirled in the crystal-clear stemmed glasses, emitting a rich fruity aroma.

“Come!”

Gu Nianqiu raised her glass, her small face full of seriousness.

“To our new home, and to our great harvest!”

“Cheers!”

Lin Mo and Gu Zhixia also raised their glasses.

“Clink.”

The three glasses gently clinked in the air, making a crisp and pleasant sound.

“Cheers.”

The three of them drained their red wine.

A warm, gentle current slid down their throats, and they all felt much lighter.

They began to enjoy this hard-earned dinner.

Outside the window, the setting sun was slowly sinking into the sea of clouds.

Golden rays dyed the heavy clouds a magnificent orange-red, like a burning ocean.

The entire Natural Selection floated silently above this sea of clouds, the high clouds seemingly within reach.

The lights in the dining room were soft and warm, and the aroma of food intertwined with the fragrance of red wine, creating a tranquil and cozy atmosphere.

This feeling was safe and pleasant.

“What are your plans next?”

Gu Zhixia gently wiped her mouth with a napkin, her phoenix eyes, usually sharp as knives, now softened considerably in the afterglow of the sunset.

“Simple.”

Lin Mo put down his knife and fork, leaned back in his chair, and looked out at the boundless sea of clouds.

“Continue searching in this area.”

“Looking for portals like before, or other targets with high-value returns.”

He paused, a hint of unprecedented relaxation in his tone.

“If we don’t find anything, then we’ll take a vacation on the ship.”

“We have the capital for that now.”

Gu Zhixia nodded, agreeing with the plan.

She was silent for a moment, seemingly organizing her thoughts.

“Then… if there’s a chance, please keep an eye out for modification materials for the titan mecha.”

“When fighting that dragon today, I found that the basic model’s mobility and firepower still have a lot of room for improvement.”

In her eyes, the Weapon Master’s craving for greater power rekindled.

“No problem.”

Lin Mo readily agreed.

“That [Dragon Biomorphic Mechanical Blueprint] should be useful.”

“When we have time, we can study it together.”

“Mm.”

A subtle, almost imperceptible curve appeared at the corner of Gu Zhixia’s lips.

“Hehe.”

Gu Nianqiu, who was beside them, suddenly let out a happy laugh.

She stuffed the last bite of steak into her mouth, patting her slightly bulging tummy contentedly.

“Brother Mo, Big Sister, you two talk business.”

“I’m going to the kitchen!”

She stood up, like a kitten with a new toy, exuding an air of impatience.

“I feel like I’m about to have a breakthrough!”

“As long as I study these amazing ingredients more, my cooking skills will definitely improve to the next level!”

“Then, I’ll make even more delicious feasts for you!”

In the young girl’s eyes, the light of “dream” and “passion” shone, so pure, so dazzling.

“Alright.”

Lin Mo looked at her, the lines on his face softening.

“We’ll be waiting.”

Gu Zhixia also smiled encouragingly.

“We look forward to your new creations, our future S-rank chef.”

“Hehe, leave it to me!”

Gu Nianqiu was even happier after receiving their affirmation; she hummed a tuneless song and scurried off to the kitchen, ready to continue her sacred and great culinary research.

In the dining room, only Lin Mo and Gu Zhixia remained.

The last rays of the setting sun streamed through the viewport, falling on them and casting two long shadows on the floor.

In the distant sky, scattered stars had begun to twinkle.
