14: Savage Island and Elite Savages

Meanwhile, on the crescent-shaped beach on the other side of the island...

A group of shabbily dressed players huddled around a bonfire, looking dispirited.

Suddenly, a sharp-eyed man shot to his feet, pointing at the sky, his voice trembling.

“Holy crap! Look quickly! What in the world is that?”

Everyone looked up at the sound, and the next second, they all froze, their mouths agape enough to fit a fist.

A massive ship, shimmering with metallic cold light and exuding a futuristic, high-tech design, hovered silently above the island, like a god surveying its territory, looking down upon them, the tiny ants.

“A… a spaceship? How the hell can a player have something like this? The system must have a bug!”

“My god… Compared to that ship, our flimsy rafts are just garbage!”

Amidst the commotion, a tall man with a sinister face slowly stood up.

His name was Chen Feng, the leader of this temporary team.

He stared intently at the Natural Selection in the sky, his eyes first flashing with extreme shock, then replaced by blatant greed and envy.

“All of you, shut the hell up!”

He let out a low growl, and the surroundings instantly fell silent.

A scrawny man, Wang Hao, cautiously approached, a fawning smile on his face.

“Brother Feng, our supplies today… could we get a bit more? Those compressed biscuits are so dry and hard, I really can’t eat them anymore. I don’t have the strength to work.”

Chen Feng gave him a cold glance, his eyes like he was looking at an insect he could crush at any moment.

“Supplies are distributed uniformly. What I say is what you get. If you don’t want to work, then get lost. Don’t blame me for not warning you if you die at sea.”

Wang Hao shivered under his gaze, not daring to say more.

Just then, a provocatively dressed woman with heavy makeup swayed her hips and pressed herself against Chen Feng.

Her name was Su Rou, and her voice was so saccharine it could drip with sweetness.

“Brother Chen Feng~”

She rubbed her soft chest against Chen Feng’s arm.

“I want to eat something delicious too, there must be fruit or something on this island, will you take me to find some?”

The coldness on Chen Feng’s face instantly melted; he wrapped his arm around Su Rou’s slender waist, squeezed her buttock, and showed a lecherous smile.

“Little vixen, I knew you were greedy. Don’t worry, come to my ship tonight. I’ve hidden some good stuff here; you can eat as much as you want.”

“You’re so naughty~”

Su Rou playfully pushed him, but a smug look flashed in her eyes.

Wang Hao, watching this scene, was filled with jealousy and resentment, but could only lower his head, daring not to speak his anger… On the other side of the island.

Lin Mo and the two women had already ventured deep into the island’s primeval jungle.

The vegetation here was astonishingly dense, with giant ferns and tangled vines blocking out the sun, the air was hot and humid, and all they could hear were buzzing mosquitoes and the chirping of unknown creatures.

Gu Zhixia walked at the very front, holding her Six-Harmony Long Spear, using the shaft to push aside obstructing branches and leaves, her expression vigilant.

Lin Mo followed in the middle, his hand always on the desert eagle at his waist, his sharp eyes scanning every corner of the surroundings.

Gu Nianqiu followed at the end, her small face a little pale, and her beautiful Lolita skirt was splattered with many mud spots.

She clutched Lin Mo’s clothes tightly, her voice on the verge of tears.

“Brother Mo… Sister… I… I’m a little scared.”

She sobbed softly.

“There are so many bugs here, and the path is so hard to walk. I can’t do anything, I’m just a burden…”

Lin Mo stopped and turned around.

He didn’t say anything comforting, just looked at her with his calm and deep eyes.

“Don’t worry.”

His voice was not loud, but it carried a convincing power.

“You are not a burden. With your sister and me here, no one can hurt you. Stay close.”

After speaking, he turned and continued forward.

Gu Nianqiu looked at his broad back, and the fear in her heart inexplicably dissipated by more than half. She nodded vigorously and quickly followed him.

After walking for another ten minutes or so, Gu Zhixia, who was at the very front, suddenly stopped and raised her hand in a stopping gesture.

Lin Mo immediately stepped forward, looking in the direction she was staring.

Not far ahead, in a clearing in the woods, a small camp had appeared.

Several crude shelters made of animal hides and rotten wood, a bonfire burning in the center, and seven or eight dark-skinned, bare-chested savages holding bone clubs and stone hammers were moving around the camp.

“Savage, Level LV3, Attack 15, Defense 15, Life 100”

Lin Mo’s eyes narrowed, and he lowered his voice.

“Gunshots are too loud; they might attract other things on the island, and they might also alarm the players on the other side.”

He turned his head to look at Gu Zhixia beside him.

“Zhi Xia, it’s up to you.”

Gu Zhixia didn’t speak, just nodded slightly.

A cold fighting spirit instantly ignited in her beautiful phoenix eyes.

The next second, she moved!

Her figure, like a black lightning bolt, instantly shot out from the bushes where she was hiding, charging straight towards the savage camp!

“Uga!”

The savages were instantly startled, letting out beast-like howls, and all raised their crude weapons, rushing towards this uninvited guest who dared to invade their territory.

Unfortunately, they were facing an S-Rank Talent holder.

Gu Zhixia’s face was expressionless, and the Six-Harmony Long Spear in her hand seemed to come alive.

Facing a stone hammer smashing down, she flicked her wrist, and the spear tip, like a venomous snake striking, moved faster than the hammer, accurately piercing the savage’s throat!

Blood gushed out!

She pulled back her spear and took half a step back, dodging a bone club that attacked from the side, then swept the spear shaft horizontally with immense force, smashing it heavily into the waists of two other savages.

“Crack!”

The crisp sound of bones shattering was clearly audible; the two savages screamed and flew backward, their bodies twisted into a bizarre angle, instantly dying.

Thrust, seize, pick, parry!

With a simple reverse spear thrust, the spear tip carved a deadly arc in the air, piercing the heart of the last savage!

The entire process was smooth and fluid, without a single wasted movement.

In less than thirty seconds, the savages in the camp were slaughtered by her.

But the battle was not over.

“Roar—!!!”

From the largest hut in the center of the camp, a deafening roar erupted!

An Elite Savage, nearly twice the size of a regular savage, with bulging muscles all over its body, charged out!

It wielded a giant stone club, almost as thick as a bucket, its eyes bloodshot and filled with savage killing intent!

“Elite Savage, Level LV5”

“Attack: 50, Defense: 50, Life: 2000”

Gu Zhixia’s expression hardened; without time to catch her breath, she immediately raised her spear and met the charge.

“Clang!!”

The long spear and the giant club collided with a resounding crash, producing a sound like clashing metal!

A terrifying force emanated from the spear shaft, numbing Gu Zhixia’s tiger’s mouth, and she involuntarily took half a step back.

Such powerful strength!

The ensuing battle became a bitter struggle.

This Elite Savage not only possessed astonishing strength but also incredibly robust defense.

Gu Zhixia’s spear tip occasionally struck its body, but it could only leave a shallow bloodstain, unable to cause effective damage.

She could only rely on the super-high reaction and speed brought by her S-Rank Talent, constantly moving, dodging, and blocking amidst the tempest-like attacks, searching for an opening.

But by herself, it would be no easy task to quickly kill it.

“It’s charging up! Zhi Xia, force it to attack!”

From behind, Lin Mo’s calm voice came. He hadn’t moved, his sharp gaze, like a hawk, was fixed on every movement of the Elite Savage. He was waiting, waiting for the perfect moment to deliver a decisive blow!

Gu Zhixia understood; she feigned an attack, intentionally revealing an opening.

The Elite Savage fell for it, roaring as it raised its stone club, putting all its strength into a powerful vertical chop that came crashing down!

Gu Zhixia tapped her toe, her figure floating sideways like a willow catkin, while the savage, due to overexertion, left its midsection wide open, its arm joints and knee joints completely exposed!

Opportunity!

“Bang!”

Almost at the same instant the opening appeared, a deafening gunshot echoed through the jungle!

The desert eagle in Lin Mo’s hand spat fire, and a spinning bullet accurately slammed into the Elite Savage’s knee joint!

“Roar?!”

The Elite Savage let out a cry of pain, the immense impact causing its leg to buckle, its body suddenly stumbled, its attacking stance instantly broken, and it fell into a brief state of paralysis!

The savage was instantly stunned!

However, the sharp pain instead ignited its ferocity. It abandoned all defense, roaring as it launched a desperate charge towards Gu Zhixia’s direction!

But this was exactly what Lin Mo had intended.

“Bang!”

The second gunshot followed immediately!

This shot was even more cunning! The bullet accurately hit the ankle of its other leg!

Under the double blow, the Elite Savage’s massive body could no longer maintain balance, and it crashed to its knees forward, completely falling into an immobile, paralyzed state!

“Now!” Lin Mo whispered.

Gu Zhixia would never miss this golden opportunity created by Lin Mo!

A cold gleam flashed in her eyes, all her strength poured into the long spear, and she and the spear became one, transforming into a black stream of light that tore through the air!

“Army Breaker!”

Accompanied by a clear shout, the Six-Harmony Long Spear, carrying immense momentum, pierced the Elite Savage’s chest with unparalleled precision!

“Ugh…”

All sounds from the Elite Savage ceased abruptly, and its massive body crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

The battle was over.

Gu Zhixia’s chest heaved violently, and fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, clearly indicating that this battle had taken a toll on her.

She looked back at Lin Mo, who stood steadily with his gun, and for the first time, a trace of genuine recognition and trust appeared in her beautiful phoenix eyes.

Without him, this battle would never have been so easy.
