177: Hunter's Rest

G-778 Security Starfield.

A tranquil starfield forgotten beyond the main navigation routes.

There were no bustling trade routes here, no patrolling star fleets, and certainly no eternal storms capable of devouring gods.

Only a few silent rocky planets orbited an aging orange dwarf star.

And a vast, deep void, dotted with distant starlight.

The orange dwarf star’s light was gentle and not dazzling, like a rich, aged fine wine.

It cast a lazy golden sheen on the dark hull, creating an otherworldly, serene atmosphere.

However, inside the Bridge, the atmosphere was not as peaceful as the universe outside the viewport.

“No.”

Lin Mo’s voice, like the starfield itself, was calm and brooked no argument.

Before him was a giant holographic screen.

On the screen, the core data flow of the “Thunder Dragon” mech was being calculated in real-time in a three-dimensional form.

It was no longer a simple list of parameters, but a dynamic energy structure diagram full of postmodern chaotic beauty.

A data stream representing golden, violent lightning, like a struggling furious dragon, furiously impacted the boundaries of the energy circuit.

Another data stream representing blue conductive lightning, like countless high-speed electric snakes, found every crack, trying to penetrate every corner of the mech body.

And at the very core, the wisp of power representing the dark purple Nirvana Divine Thunder was terrifyingly quiet.

It was like a monarch entrenched deep within its lair.

Although motionless, the concept of “Nirvana” it emanated was constantly, from its very root, eroding the other two laws, attempting to drag everything into eternal nothingness.

These three powers were forcibly bound together by Gu Zhixia’s extremely powerful will, using a bridle named “Domination”.

The current “Thunder Dragon” was like a war machine with three different types of activated bombs hidden inside its body.

It was incredibly strong, unreasonably so.

But equally, it was extremely dangerous.

“I need at least five days.”

Lin Mo’s finger swept across the screen, and a curve representing the Life law of the “World Tree,” emitting a soft emerald green light, was extracted by him.

“I will guide the primordial power of the ‘World Tree’ to weave the most precise net, to re-sort, neutralize, and harmonize these three laws.”

“This is not simple energy charging, but a deeper level of law sorting and the infusion of Life energy, requiring extreme precision and a long time.”

His words were tantamount to directly pronouncing Gu Zhixia’s “house arrest.”

“Five days?”

Gu Zhixia’s beautiful eyebrows instantly knitted into a knot, her voice suddenly rising eight octaves.

“What a joke!”

She had just tasted the sensation of personally slaying a god, and every cell in her body was still cheering for that new, immense power.

She was now like a fierce tiger that had just eaten its fill and was in its most energetic period.

She only wanted to find a wider jungle to fully unleash her power, to conquer more prey.

That feeling of being restricted was ten thousand times more unbearable than being told to die directly.

To make her retract her claws and quietly lie dormant for five days?

This was more unbearable than making her fight that thunderous giant dragon again.

“My own power, I know best!”

She took a step forward, closing in on Lin Mo, her phoenix eyes burning with flames staring directly at him without showing weakness.

“It craves battle, destruction, not lying around sleeping like a pet!”

She clenched her fist sharply.

An untamed willpower surged instantly.

Zzzzt!

A tiny dark purple electric arc, without warning, shot out from between her fingers, and a slight, heart-stopping crackle echoed in the air.

That tiny electric arc, like a pebble dropped into a calm lake, stirred up stormy waves deep within her soul.

She felt as if her body could be torn apart at any moment.

Her will was like a hemp rope pulled to its limit, enduring unimaginable tearing forces every second.

“See!”

Lin Mo’s expression did not change in the slightest, but his tone cooled a few degrees, and he pointed at the holographic screen.

On the screen, the data stream representing the Nirvana Divine Thunder, due to her emotional fluctuations just now, sharply spiked upwards, instantly overwhelming the other two data streams!

“Your will is causing it to spiral out of control!”

“This is not a power you can wield as you please; it’s a Sword of Damocles hanging over your head and this ship!”

“Leviathan won’t wait five days for us! What if that Guild Master discovers that Jay and his fleet are out of contact and moves earlier? This kind of opportunity…”

“There is no ‘what if’.”

Lin Mo interrupted her, his tone as calm as if stating a physical constant.

“A guy who can use ‘Leviathan’ as his guild name, his arrogance will only be greater than Jay’s.”

“The Guild Master of Leviathan must be an extremely arrogant superior being.”

“In his eyes, Jay’s disappearance is most likely due to a natural disaster in the ‘Gods’ Forbidden Zone,’ or, even more ridiculously, an ambush by some unknown pirate group.”

“He might be angry, he might send people to investigate, but he will never believe that any power can threaten his home base.”

Lin Mo’s gaze turned to the screen, directly pointing at the bright red marker of Leviathan Headquarters.

“At least, before confirming our existence, he won’t act rashly.”

He looked at the chaotic data on the screen and added.

“A hunter’s greatest need is patience.”

“Hmph.”

Gu Zhixia stopped, crossed her arms, and turned her head to the side.

Her elegantly sculpted chin was slightly raised, outlining an arc that clearly spelled “unhappy.”

“Sophistry.”

Although she said so, she knew in her heart that Lin Mo’s judgment was most likely correct.

The uncontrollable electric arc that had shot out earlier had indeed made her heart clench.

It was just this feeling of having power but being unable to use it that made her uncomfortable all over.

Just as the atmosphere on the Bridge fell into a delicate stalemate because of this.

A soft, sweet voice broke the silence.

“Brother Mo, Sister!”

Gu Nianqiu, at some unknown point, had brought out another tray from her “mobile kitchen.”

On the tray, a steaming bowl of thick soup exuded a rich, overpowering mushroom aroma.

Beside it were several golden-crisp cookies, adorned with cute smiley faces drawn with jam.

She had changed into a brand new Lolita dress, primarily cream white and strawberry pink, and wore a matching, small and adorable beret on her head.

She looked like a moving strawberry cream cake that had just stepped out of a fairy tale book.

Sweet enough to make one’s mood involuntarily improve.

Her clear voice, like a string of silver bells, instantly broke the congealed air in the Bridge.

And on the dining cart, a dazzling array of “celebration feast” dishes, enough to make any gourmand go crazy, were laid out.
