108: The Capital of the Second Dimension
February, 3625.
Inside the library.
A holographic map of the Dawn Plane slowly rotated in the air.
Brian’s fingertip precisely landed on the outpost city.
“This place, extended fifty kilometers outwards, will be the new imperial capital.”
His voice carried an undeniable resolve:
“It will be renamed Dawn City! Planned to accommodate ten million people, it will serve as the absolute core of the empire.”
Spirit Eye, standing by, recorded everything synchronously.
“At the very heart of the city,”
Brian’s gaze fell upon the nexus of energy Veins on the map.
“Reserve it for me. I will personally construct a Level 4 legendary Mage Tower.”
“A new Mage Tower!”
Spirit Eye’s eyes instantly lit up, eager to begin.
“During construction, someone needs to oversee and coordinate.” Brian looked at her: “How about your 4th clone goes?”
“Mission accomplished!”
Spirit Eye smiled radiantly.
“Spirit Eye is very happy to build a new city for Master!”
Once the decision was made, action followed swiftly.
Soon after.
Spirit Eye’s clone, with cherry blossom patterns around her wrist, left the lounge.
She brought a hundred city builders and one hundred thousand newly activated intelligent robots.
They crossed the Plane Teleportation Gate.
Dawn Plane.
The planned imperial capital region.
Spirit Eye’s 4th clone floated in mid-air.
Before her were hundreds of city builders, silently dormant like colossal azure beasts.
“Start construction!”
With her command, a joyful instruction spread throughout the entire network.
The next moment, a colossal roar shattered the tranquility of the plains.
Hundreds of city builders activated simultaneously, and the immense magical fluctuations caused the air to tremble.
They did not concentrate in one place but dispersed along the huge city boundary line, following the blueprint Spirit Eye had planned.
Thick beams of magic light shot out from the bottom of the city builders, like the plows of giants carving across the earth.
Wherever they passed, soil churned, compacted, and transformed!
The previously uneven ground visibly became flat, solid, and gleamed with the characteristic grayish-white luster of stone.
This was not simple compaction, but the Petrify Magic Formation directly transforming the soil into hard bedrock.
At the same time, on the outermost perimeter of the city, a magnificent shadow began to rise from the ground.
The city builders sprayed magical slurry mixed with materials like blue flame copper, which quickly molded and solidified under the guidance of the Magic Formation.
In just a few days, a magnificent city wall, three hundred meters high and with a base thickness exceeding one hundred meters, began to take shape.
The wall’s surface was smooth and hard, shimmering with a mixed luster of metal and stone, its strength sufficient to withstand the bombardment of Level 4 spells.
As the city wall formed, construction within the city also proceeded simultaneously.
The city builders moved regularly within the city limits.
Where they passed, wide, straight main roads and secondary road networks, also paved with transformed stone, extended like leaf veins, dividing the city into neat blocks.
Immediately after.
Within the designated residential and commercial areas, more magical lights glowed.
The sub-units of the city builders, like diligent worker bees, precisely teleported and stacked basic materials.
Stone buildings, uniform in structure but varied in detail, sprang up like mushrooms after rain.
They were not monotonous boxes; their eaves and window frames featured simple yet elegant lines, clearly a design template from Spirit Eye’s database that combined practicality and aesthetics.
The imperial palace district was located in the very center of the city, where the buildings were even more exquisite and grand, using materials that included crystal jade, giving the palaces a warm luster under the sunlight.
Early March, 3625.
Spring in the territory, with the unique warmth of the southern seas.
Inside the Mage Tower,
Brian had just approved Spirit Eye’s submitted proposal for the resource survey and preliminary integration of the Dawn Plane.
In the display, administrative personnel and auxiliary robots belonging to the empire were systematically entering former human cities and important orc strongholds to conduct population registration, resource inventory, and maintain order.
“Master, the basic takeover work of the Dawn Plane has commenced as planned.”
Spirit Eye reported, data flowing across the light screen,
“A full-domain environmental monitoring network has been activated within the sub-plane, utilizing our inventory of conventional environmental monitoring Magic Formations and some low-power reconnaissance robots as nodes.”
Brian nodded slightly.
Establishing environmental monitoring was a standard procedure.
Its purpose was to understand the plane’s climate, energy cycles, and prevent natural disasters.
For governance itself, its importance was far lower than military, political, and resource management.
A few days later.
During a routine report, Spirit Eye casually mentioned:
“Master, I conducted a deep modeling analysis of the Dawn Plane’s environmental monitoring data and discovered some interesting phenomena.”
She pulled up a set of visualized data.
It was a micro-fluctuation model of the plane’s basic energy field (similar to a planetary magnetic field).
“The energy field fluctuations in the central region of the plane show an extremely weak, indirect statistical correlation with some very microscopic natural phenomena, such as the concentration of morning fog in specific valleys or the decomposition rate of fallen leaves in a certain forest.”
Brian glanced at it.
The model was complex and precise, but the correlation it revealed...
was almost useless for ruling a plane.
It could not be used to find minerals or predict wars.
It was like knowing there was a theoretical correlation between ripples in a pond and a butterfly flapping its wings ten miles away.
But it had no practical significance.
“This level of data analysis is too low in cost-effectiveness,”
Brian commented.
“I know!” Spirit Eye’s voice carried a hint of pure researcher’s curiosity,
“But it’s interesting, isn’t it?”
“My computing power has a surplus, and the cost of maintaining the operation and iteration of this model is almost negligible.”
“I was thinking, if we observe it long-term, perhaps we could more precisely predict some very localized, very subtle environmental changes, for example: allowing our magical plant experimental fields to always catch the most suitable trace rainfall?”
The application prospects she described were still insignificant.
It was more like an optimization of horticulture for perfection.
Brian understood.
This was not the discovery of some earth-shattering secret.
Rather, Spirit Eye was utilizing her super data processing capabilities.
In a field generally considered to have low cost-effectiveness.
She was conducting luxurious deep excavation.
This was not about power.
It was more like a... research quirk based on excess computing power.
“Alright, then consider it a long-term, low-priority observation project.”
Brian was indifferent to it.
As long as Spirit Eye liked it and it didn’t affect normal operations, it was fine.
He understood and respected this pure desire for exploration,
after all, he himself possessed the same spirit of inquiry.
Perhaps this could bring surprises in the future, from some unexpected corner.
But it was certainly not the current focus.
