151: Requests and Transactions
The azure thunder, carrying Spirit Eye's returning consciousness, smoothly passed through the portal constructed of pure light.
Beyond the portal was not the magnificent hall or treasure-filled secret vault imagined, but a strange space difficult to describe with words.
Here, there was no concept of up, down, left, or right, as if one were at the heart of a nebula.
Beneath their feet was a slowly rotating, enormous wheel of light composed of countless emerald green life runes, like a living Magic Formation.
Above and around them were flowing rivers of energy emitting a soft glow; these rivers were composed of the purest life source essence, within which floated countless tiny specks of light, each representing the life imprint of a convergent will member.
At the center of the space, a giant heart, seemingly carved from emerald, floated.
It pulsed slowly and powerfully, each contraction and expansion causing the energy rivers of the entire space to flow with it, emitting a low hum like the breath of the cosmos.
This was the core of the Sanctuary, and the final vessel and hope of the convergent will.
And in front of that emerald heart, three figures quietly floated.
To the left was Mr. Crystal, who had previously communicated with Spirit Eye; his emerald body appeared even more translucent here.
To the right was an ever-changing energy aggregate, at times transforming into flames, at times solidifying into ice, at times distorting space, which was the manifestation of the Chaos Void Space's rules.
And in the center was a blurry, humanoid outline formed by the convergence of countless tiny specks of light, emitting ancient, profound, and compassionate will fluctuations, precisely the materialization of the grand will from the Corridors of the Mind.
They were the guardians of the three paths, and the spokespersons for the Sanctuary and the convergent will.
When the azure thunder and Brian's will within it (connected through Spirit Eye) arrived, the gazes of the three guardians simultaneously focused on them.
The central light-humanoid emitted a peaceful thought, reaching the very origin of the soul:
"Welcome, foreign will, and... unique Spirit. You have passed the trial, proving your qualification for understanding, power, and resonance. Now, you will face the final choice."
Following his thought, the pulsating emerald heart glowed slightly brighter, and three clear streams of information flowed into Brian and Spirit Eye's perception:
The first piece of information was about the ancient scar of this plane—the truth behind the breaking of the "Pillar of Heaven."
It was not a natural disaster, but rather, in the distant past, when this nascent plane drifted in the Sea of Worlds, it was unfortunately grazed by the edge of a rift from an unknown deep void, containing the laws of quiescence.
One of the "Pillars of Heaven" supporting the world was eroded by that law, eventually breaking and disintegrating, leading to the loss of the plane's world origin and the withering of vitality.
The second piece of information was about the true purpose of the "Sanctuary."
It was not merely a refuge, but a gigantic life furnace and world embryo.
The convergent will gathered all remaining vitality, on one hand to prevent the plane from immediately collapsing, and on the other hand, it was attempting to use the power of the life furnace to re-incubate a new "Pillar of Heaven" to mend the plane's world origin.
However, they lacked the most crucial element—the "Primordial Spark" capable of countering the lingering laws of quiescence and igniting the fire of new life, which was the so-called "key."
The third piece of information was a request, or rather, a transaction.
The guardians recognized Brian's qualifications and power.
They requested Brian to use his unique power system from his home world, combined with his understanding of life source essence, to help them ignite the life furnace and complete the incubation of a new "Pillar of Heaven."
In return, after this plane was saved and reborn, the entire Constructed Vitality Alliance and the territories it controlled would voluntarily merge under Brian's command, acknowledging him as their master.
The entire plane's accumulated vast knowledge base regarding the fusion of life and constructs would also be fully open to him.
This was an opportunity to save a world and, by extension, inherit all its legacy!
The risk was that the process of igniting the life furnace would inevitably require a huge investment of power, and might even trigger a backlash from the dormant laws of quiescence.
If it failed, not only would all efforts be in vain, but Brian himself might also suffer severe damage.
And if they chose to refuse, they might be able to forcibly seize some knowledge and technology through military might.
But it would inevitably lead to a final conflict with the entire dying convergent will and its guardians, with unpredictable results, and they would forever be unable to obtain the most core secrets of world-level life construction.
Brian's will, through Spirit Eye, calmly scrutinized all of this.
He saw the enormous, intricately structured emerald heart, whose internal mechanisms were astonishingly precise, and he also sensed the stubborn trace of the laws of quiescence within its depths, emitting an aura of the end of all things.
Save a world?
This was not his initial plan, but it seemed like a good investment.
A fully subservient plane with a unique technological path was far more valuable than a ruin conquered by force.
Moreover, this kind of challenge involving world origin repair and life creation held an unparalleled attraction for him.
"Master?"
Spirit Eye's consciousness came through, with an inquiry.
She could feel Brian's strong desire for exploration and research spirit surging in his will.
"Accept it." Brian made his decision, his will firm.
"This is not just a transaction; it's an opportunity to validate what we've learned and transform knowledge into the power of creation."
His will turned to the three guardians, conveying a clear message through Spirit Eye:
"We accept this covenant. We will assist in igniting the life furnace and bestow new life upon this world."
The wills of the three guardians simultaneously conveyed waves of relief and satisfaction.
"Thank you for your choice, foreign saviors. Please follow us, approach the 'Heart of the Spring,' and we will grant all permissions to assist you in completing this final ritual."
The azure thunder, guided by the guardians, slowly flew towards the pulsating emerald heart—the Heart of the Spring.
The closer they got, the more they could feel the subtle balance formed by the immense vitality it contained and the cold stillness brought by that trace of the laws of quiescence.
Brian's will was highly concentrated, working closely with Spirit Eye, beginning to analyze the internal structure of the Heart of the Spring, calculating the optimal energy injection points, frequency, and intensity required to ignite the furnace.
At the same time, from the main Mage Tower, he also began to activate the world origin within the fusion reactor through Spirit Eye's main body.
This would mobilize even greater magical energy and computational power.
He intended to use Spirit Eye's essence to counter the laws.
Currently, only Spirit Eye's essence could counter the laws.
Other methods could only be piled up in quantity to deal with them!
For example, activating the fusion reactor's world origin to provide continuous magic, and using the Mage Tower's high-magnification spell amplification to wear down this incomplete law power.
