2: eldest son Joey

Just then, Gude, the butler, called from outside the door:

"Master, madam is awake, she wants to see you."

Brian's lips curled into a slight smile upon hearing this, and as he turned, the hem of his robe swished in an elegant arc.

He took steady steps towards the delivery room inside the castle, each step filled with the joy of seeing his wife and son soon.

At the delivery room door, Brian took a deep breath, gently pushed the door open, and walked in.

Inside the room, Alice, his wife, lay on the bed, her face a little pale, but her eyes were full of happy light as she looked at her son.

Seeing Brian enter, she weakly but gently called out: "My dear, you’re here. Come quickly and see our son."

Brian walked to the bedside and looked down, seeing a wrinkled little guy sleeping soundly beside his wife.

He gently extended his right hand, and as his fingertips barely touched his son's tender cheek, the little one instinctively stirred, letting out a faint murmur.

"My good son..." An unprecedented warmth welled up in Brian's heart. His fingertips gently caressed his son's small face, as if touching the most precious treasure.

He secretly vowed: "No matter what the future holds, I will make this child the happiest person."

Then he looked at Alice beside him. This was Brian's officially wedded wife, Alice Windsor.

Although she came from a Mage Family, she became a marriage alliance due to her lack of talent, but at this moment, in Brian's eyes, she was the most beautiful wife.

"Alice, you've worked hard." Brian leaned his face close to Alice's, his voice as soft as a feather.

Alice's cheeks flushed, and she responded gently: "It's not hard, my dear. Giving birth to this child for you is the happiest thing for me."

Brian gently kissed Alice's forehead: "From now on, I will protect you and our son well, and let our son grow up surrounded by love."

Just then, the little one seemed to sense the warmth between his parents and stirred slightly.

Brian and Alice's gazes were drawn to him simultaneously. They exchanged a look, their happiness almost overflowing.

"Alice, we need to name our son. You choose it first!" Brian suggested softly.

Alice nodded slightly, and after a moment of thought, said:

"How about Joey Jose? Joey represents positive emotions and a stable life. I hope our son can grow up in joy and peace in the future."

Brian's eyes lit up: "That's a good name. Joey Jose it is. Our son will surely grow up in peace and happiness."

Just then, footsteps sounded outside the door, and Gude, the butler, walked in carrying nourishing soup.

Seeing the warm scene between Brian and Alice, a smile also appeared on his face: "Master, madam, this is nourishing soup specially prepared for madam."

Brian took the soup and personally fed it to Alice.

Alice drank the soup, feeling her husband's care, her heart full of happiness.

After finishing the soup, Alice felt a little tired.

Brian gently tucked her in and softly said: "Alice, you rest well. I need to go to the Mage Tower to teleport to the family and tell my father the good news of your childbirth."

Alice smiled, closed her eyes, and soon drifted off to sleep.

Afterward, Brian arrived at the Mage Tower behind the castle.

This low-level Mage Tower has four floors, one underground and three above ground.

The underground floor is where the elemental pool is located, and the three above-ground floors are for finished product production, the laboratory, and rune aggregation, respectively.

Brian stood in the teleportation array, raised his hand to gently touch a rune, and a blue light gradually rose, enveloping the entire teleportation array.

As the light swirled, he appeared inside the Jose Family's Mage Tower.

"Greetings, esteemed Lord Brian Jose. Good afternoon. Tower Spirit Rosen of the Jose Family's Mage Tower greets you!" A mechanical voice sounded.

"Rosen, where is my father?" Brian asked.

"Lord Lyle is on the top floor. I have already notified Butler Dessais to come and escort you!"

"Then many thanks!"

Brian walked out of the teleportation room and saw Butler Dessais, his father's old butler, waiting nearby.

"Third Young Master, you've returned. The Family Head is waiting for you on the top floor." Butler Dessais bowed respectfully.

Brian nodded and walked up the spiral staircase, muttering in his heart:

"intermediate mage towers and above can all have magical elevators, but the family's Mage Tower is still using stairs. Bad review! However, walking on these stairs, each step feels like treading on the accumulated history."

When he reached the top floor, he saw his father, Lyle Jose, standing by the window, his back to him, gazing out at the viscounty.

This viscounty had been in decline since his great-grandfather died in the Realm Sea.

"Father." Brian called softly.

Lyle turned around, a gentle smile on his face: "Brian, you're back. Is there anything you need my help with?"

"Father, Alice gave birth to your grandson. We named him Joey Jose, hoping he can live a life of peace and happiness in the future." Brian's eyes sparkled as he mentioned the reward. "How about some reward?"

"You rascal! Asking for a reward the first thing when you get back?" Lyle chuckled and then walked in front of Brian.

"The name is decent! Next time, remember to let me choose! Come on, let's go back to the castle together. Our Jose Family has a new addition, which is a great joy. Your mother Judy and sister Fannie are both at the castle; it's a good time to tell them the good news.

As for the reward? How about this: once you break through to a Second-level Mage, I will personally fund the upgrade of your Mage Tower to a six-story intermediate mage tower."

Brian's eyes lit up. The materials alone for building an intermediate mage tower would cost 10,000 primary magic stones, and with the rune Mage's labor fees, it would be 12,000 primary magic stones.

He nodded vigorously like a pounding garlic: "Okay, Father, it's a deal then! I'll be able to break through to a Second-level Mage very soon."

Lyle smiled indifferently upon hearing Brian's words, not believing that Brian would break through so quickly.

Then the two walked towards the castle together.

On the way to the castle, Brian shared various details of his son's birth with Lyle.

Lyle listened with great interest, occasionally letting out hearty laughs.

Arriving in the castle hall, his mother Judy was reading with his seven or eight-year-old sister Fannie.

Seeing Brian and Lyle enter, both immediately came forward to greet them.

Fannie's eyes lit up when she saw Brian, and she was about to rush over: "Third Brother, you're back! Where's Sister-in-law?"

Brian smiled and walked forward, first giving his mother Judy a hug, then squatting down to pat Fannie's head: "Sister-in-law is resting well in the territory. She gave birth to a big, chubby boy for you all."

"Really!" Fannie jumped up excitedly, "I have a little nephew! What's his name?"

"He's called Joey Jose," Brian said with a doting expression.

Judy also watched the two children interact from the side, smiling contentedly and saying: "That's a nice name. Our Jose Family has a new member!"

Just then, Lyle cleared his throat and said: "Ahem! Alright, stop standing around, let's sit down and talk!"

Everyone took their seats. Judy held Brian's hand and asked with concern: "Brian, was Alice's delivery smooth? How's Joey?"

Brian was very touched by his mother's concern for Alice: "It was very smooth. Although Alice is a bit tired, her condition is quite good. Little Joey is also very healthy and sleeping soundly."

At this point, Fannie also eagerly interjected: "Third Brother, Third Brother, when can I go see my little nephew?"

Brian patted Fannie's head: "When some time passes, when Third Brother goes back, I'll take you with me to see your little nephew, okay?"

"Okay, okay! I'll bring lots of fun gifts for my little nephew." Fannie nodded vigorously with delight.

Lyle watched this warm scene, a happy smile on his face: "Brian, now that you also have a son, your responsibilities as a father are even greater. You must work hard, okay?"

Brian nodded solemnly: "Father, I understand. I will definitely work hard to make Alice and Joey live better lives."

Judy also spoke, expressing her concern for Alice: "Brian, you should also care more about Alice. She just gave birth and her body is still very weak."

"Mother, don't worry, I will take good care of Alice and Joey."

The family sat together, chatting casually, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.

After a while, Lyle stood up: "Alright, Brian, you must be tired from your journey. Go rest first. When some time passes, bring Alice and Joey back, and we'll have a good get-together."

"Okay, Father. Then I'll head back now. Once Alice recovers a bit, we'll return."

Brian also stood up and bid farewell to his family.

He first hugged his mother and sister, then walked towards the Mage Tower with his father, Lyle.
