46: Dimensional Intrusion Knowledge
December arrived.
Recently, Brian planned to study knowledge related to planar invasion and planar warfare.
"Spirit Eye, help me search the Magic Net for books on planar invasion and planar warfare that are practical, highly recommended, and well-known," Brian instructed Spirit Eye.
Spirit Eye responded swiftly, its voice echoing in Brian's ears:
"creator, I have retrieved several practical books on planar invasion and planar warfare from the Magic Net for you. Among them, 'Detailed Explanation of Planar Invasion' has the most recommendations and the best reviews. Would you like me to purchase and download it for you?"
A glint of excitement flashed in Brian's eyes, and he quickly said, "Buy and download it immediately. I want to study it thoroughly."
Soon after, the electronic version of the book appeared on Brian's virtual screen.
He eagerly opened "Detailed Explanation of Planar Invasion," which meticulously described the various stages of planar warfare.
From initial planar reconnaissance and intelligence gathering,
To mid-stage resource allocation and troop deployment,
And finally, late-stage strategic decisive battles and post-war governance,
Each step was thoroughly explained with case analyses.
Brian treasured the book, carefully reading it while taking notes on his virtual screen.
The book provided a detailed introduction to the process of planar invasion:
One, Finding Non-Native World Planes:
This requires the aid of relevant instruments or spells, most commonly using an instrument called the 'World Sea Planar Detector';
Two, Planar Positioning:
This also requires relevant instruments or spells. The instrument is called the 'World Sea Positioning Teleportation Gate'. Positioning is achieved with the World Sea Planar Detector, by super-dimensionally transmitting the 'Planar Positioning Needle' component from the World Sea Positioning Teleportation Gate to outside the detected plane;
Three, Initial Planar Reconnaissance:
This involves a planar reconnaissance array composed of multiple 'Planar Positioning Needles' outside the plane, conducting preliminary detection within the plane to determine its strength and grade.
Low-level Plane/World (can support up to Level 4 life forms. If this plane has a World Will, it's possible for an over-limit (1 level above the maximum) Level 5 existence to appear, but generally low-level planes do not have a World Will)
Mid-level Plane/World (can support up to Level 6 life forms, with a chance of a World Will being born, though the probability is not high. If born, it indicates potential for promotion to a high-level world)
High-level Plane/World (can support Level 7 life forms and above, and definitely has a World Will)
(Level 7 is generally considered a divine existence in other worlds; Level 7 is Weak Divinity, Level 8 is Lesser Divinity, Level 9 is Intermediate Divinity)
Super-level Plane/World (can support Level 10 life forms and above. This world itself is currently at this stage)
(Super-level worlds generally do not launch full-scale wars against other super-level worlds, except for the Abyssal and Infernal, which are public enemies of the World Sea; if encountered, direct engagement is acceptable)
Four, Intelligence Gathering:
After determining the approximate level and strength of the target plane, if it is within one's manageable range.
The 'Planar Positioning Needles' enter the world through silent infiltration, delving deep to acquire comprehensive information regarding its geographical environment, resource distribution, biological populations, social structure, political landscape, and potential defense systems.
If it is confirmed to be beyond one's manageable range, one can keep the coordinates for oneself or sell them on the Magic Net.
Five, Invasion Methods:
Currently, there are several methods:
One, directly linking the 'Planar Positioning Needle' to the World Sea Planar Teleportation Gate for a direct assault.
The advantage of this method is that it is time-efficient, but the disadvantage is that it can easily provoke collective resistance. This method is recommended when overwhelming the opponent.
Two, employing a circuitous infiltration strategy, first dispatching a small elite force to infiltrate the target plane through temporary passages constructed by 'Planar Positioning Needles'. Inciting important personnel of the opposing side to create chaos and division, thereby creating favorable conditions for a subsequent large-scale invasion.
Although this method is more time-consuming, it can effectively reduce direct conflict and lower one's own casualties, making it suitable for opponents of comparable or slightly superior strength.
Three, launching an invasion by leveraging the characteristics of planar creatures.
Some special planes possess creatures with interplanar capabilities. Capturing and taming these creatures allows for their utilization, leveraging their familiarity with the target plane and their unique abilities, such as invisibility or penetrating barriers, to first enter the target plane for destruction or to guide one's own forces in.
For example, the phantom butterflies of some planes can ignore ordinary barriers; they can be made to carry miniature magic bombs and fly into important facilities in the target plane for destruction.
Currently, these are the three main methods. There are also methods commonly used by the Abyss, such as projection, reverse summoning, and possession, for planar invasion, but the weaknesses of these methods are also very obvious, as they cannot fully utilize the power of the main body and the Mage Tower. Therefore, these methods are not recommended.
Six, Total War:
After the critical defensive facilities and personnel of the opposing world have been destroyed, a total war can be initiated. One can travel with a Mage Tower to establish a stronghold, and then, using the stronghold as a center, launch a full-scale war.
A taboo of total war is that one must not exterminate more than 95% of the planar beings.
Interesting Case: Once upon a time, a powerful Necromancer personally demonstrated this. He exterminated all life on an entire plane, turning them into his undead. As a result, he was entangled by the World Sea Life Curse for over a century before it was resolved.
Just in case, I will tell you the solution!
Currently, there are two methods:
One is that genuine blessings from life can gradually dispel the curse. (That Necromancer resolved it this way, for example, by planting trees in a desert area?)
The other is to erase it with the power of concepts. This threshold is quite high; besides that one person, no one else has been able to do it yet.
Of course, there is also a method to avoid the curse: as long as no more than 10% of the beings are personally exterminated by oneself during the process of extermination, even if you order others to exterminate the rest, it can be avoided. However, your own creations and summoned creatures do not count.
Seven, Spoils of War:
Upon successfully completing a planar invasion and winning a total war, the spoils obtained are diverse and extremely valuable.
First and foremost are resources. Various precious ores, exotic herbs, special energy crystals, and other treasures contained within the target plane will all be collected.
For example, Starfall Iron, unique to certain planes, is an excellent material for forging legendary weapons; while heavenly materials and earthly treasures from certain planes can enhance Mage Talent or grant one Mage Talent.
Besides material resources, knowledge is also an indispensable spoil of war.
Each plane has its unique magic system, combat techniques, and civilization heritage.
By capturing scholars and mages from the opposing faction, or by plundering their libraries and research institutions, a vast amount of previously unknown knowledge and secret arts can be acquired.
This knowledge can enrich one's own magical theories and lead to the creation of entirely new spells and combat strategies.
For instance, spatial folding techniques learned from a highly advanced magical civilization plane can enable one's troops to teleport instantly in battle, launching surprise attacks on enemies.
Population resources are equally important. After the war, for those planar residents willing to surrender, they can be incorporated into one's territory.
They bring different skills and labor, which can promote the economic development and social construction of the territory.
Some planar residents are skilled in agriculture, and their advanced planting techniques can increase the territory's food production;
While some residents with special craft skills can create exquisite handicrafts for trade, increasing the territory's wealth.
Additionally, one might acquire some treasures or artifacts with special abilities.
These treasures might be the foundational treasures of a certain plane, possessing powerful strength and unique effects.
Some artifacts can enhance the wielder's magic power, some can unleash devastating attack spells, and others might possess the miraculous ability to heal injuries or revive life.
Eight, Planar Attraction and World Will Rewards:
Upon occupying more than 50% of the plane/world's territory, a Planar Attraction Magic Formation can be set up at the plane/world's core.
When the Magic Formation begins to operate, the World Will of the Mage World will cast its gaze and perform super-dimensional attraction, pulling the entire plane into the Mage World.
Upon completion, three reward options are available.
First option: Full reward, meaning both population and the plane are left to the World Will's discretion.
This choice will grant a full reward along with a World noble title.
Second option: Land transformation reward, where half of the entire plane's land is expanded into the lord's territory within the Mage World according to a certain ratio. The population can also be expanded by no more than 1 million people into the territory.
Low-level plane: 1 million to 1, Mid-level plane: 10,000 to 1, High-level plane: 100 to 1.
This choice will grant 50% of the reward.
Third option: Sub-plane reward, where this plane becomes one's own sub-plane, with the sub-plane gate anchored within the territory. Neither population nor territory will decrease, but the energy level will be much lower than that of the Mage World.
This choice will grant 10% of the reward.
The total reward for conquering a low-level plane is approximately:
1 World Baron title;
10 units of world origin;
1 Second-grade Mage Talent;
10 Third-grade Mage Talents;
1000 blessings of 10% cultivation and breakthrough bonus.
If the full reward is chosen, the highest contributor can receive the World Baron title and choose up to 3 rewards from the remaining options. The rest will be distributed by the World Will.
If the third option is chosen, there is no Baron title reward, but it can accumulate like fragments (10%). The world origin becomes 1 unit, the Second-grade Mage Talent and Third-grade Mage Talent are downgraded to Third-grade and Fourth-grade Mage Talent, and the cultivation and breakthrough blessings also become 100.
After reading this section, Brian thought:
'In that case, Alice and the others can also improve, especially Alice. She currently has no Mage Talent. If she gets a Second-grade Talent, her level will quickly catch up once she becomes a mage.'
The more Brian read, the more engrossed he became. He seemed to envision himself leading his territory's elite troops, sweeping across another plane, expanding his territory.
As he delved deeper into the book, Brian gained a more comprehensive and profound understanding of planar invasion and planar warfare.
He began to consider how to formulate a planar invasion strategy suitable for his own territory, combining it with his territory's actual situation.
First, I don't have that many people right now, so I'll need enough intelligent robots to assist.
I also need to equip Alice, Emily, and Lucia with enough intelligent robots so they can contribute.
And my father, mother, elder brother, elder sister, and younger sister at home will also come along to contribute.
I'll build more intelligent robots then, 1 Level 4 paired with 10 Level 3s. I'll build 100,000 Level 4s and 1,000,000 Level 3s.
In the early stages, my own intelligent robots will conduct targeted clearings, and in the mid-to-late stages, my family members will accumulate contributions.
Plan complete!
