84: Limit Breaking Spells

The previous scene reappeared on the screen.

This time, all the metal cones attacked the same target, like twelve meteors falling simultaneously.

"Boom! Boom!"

"Master, this time the power can reach 300,000 scale units. It has exceeded Level 5 intensity. This? Aren't we developing a Level 5 magic?" Spirit Eye asked, feeling puzzled, her eyes full of confusion.

Brian also looked incredulous, his brows tightly furrowed as he fell into deep thought.

He hadn't expected that merely testing the simulated power would result in a situation he couldn't comprehend.

"I'm not too sure about this situation either! I guess I'll have to ask Her Excellency Catherine. Eric probably doesn't know about this either," Brian muttered to himself, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

The laboratory fell into a brief silence, with only the faint ticking sound from the energy monitor.

Brian and Spirit Eye exchanged glances, both seeing the same confusion and anticipation in each other's eyes.

"Spirit Eye, recheck the rune combination and energy conduction circuit to see if there are any deviations," he said seriously.

Spirit Eye immediately sprang into action, her hands moving rapidly in the air, data and runes flashing before her.

"Master, there are no problems with the rune combination and energy conduction circuit. All parameters are the same as previously set," Spirit Eye reported, frowning.

Brian became even more puzzled. He walked to the rune platform and carefully observed the magic crystal and energy conduction circuit on it.

After a long period of study, Brian found no abnormalities.

He took a deep breath and decided, "Since that's the case, let's do a physical test then!"

"Spirit Eye, come with me to the Dimensional Space to test the spell."

Spirit Eye nodded and followed Brian to the Dimensional Space room.

Upon arriving at the Dimensional Space room,

"Spirit Eye, begin preparing for the test," Brian said to Spirit Eye beside him, as if also speaking to himself.

Spirit Eye quickly set up the monitoring equipment nearby, then nodded to Brian, indicating that everything was ready.

Brian's mental power surged, and the magic power within his body also gushed out as his mental power gradually fluctuated.

As his mental power finished inscribing the runes, magic power surged.

Twelve long, thick physical metal cones reappeared in the air, identical to those simulated in the laboratory.

Intense magical light surrounded the metal cones, emitting a low hum.

"Go!" Brian shouted, waving both hands forward. The metal cones shot towards the distant target like arrows released from a bowstring.

Unlike the laboratory simulation, this time the spell was cast in real space, and the powerful sense of oppression was more direct.

The metal cones streaked across the sky in bright trajectories, disappearing from sight in the blink of an eye.

Then, a violent roar came from a distance, echoing like muffled thunder across the wasteland.

A massive pillar of dust rose into the sky, obscuring the sun and covering the earth, as if the entire world had been shaken.

As the dust gradually settled, Brian and Spirit Eye hurried towards the target area.

A huge deep pit appeared on the ground, more than two hundred meters in diameter, with an immeasurable depth. The surrounding ground was cracked with enormous fissures by the impact, as if the earth had been violently torn apart by a giant.

Spirit Eye quickly operated the monitoring equipment to collect data, a shocked expression on her face:

"Master, the power of this test reached an astonishing 500,000 scale units, far exceeding the 300,000 scale units simulated in the laboratory! Moreover, the energy fluctuations are more complex and powerful."

Brian was first delighted, then his brows furrowed, his eyes full of doubt and contemplation.

"This completely exceeded our expectations. It seems this spell hides secrets we haven't discovered yet. Of course, it might also be the effect of the rune combination itself."

"Spirit Eye, let's go back to the laboratory. I need to contact Her Excellency. If this problem isn't solved, it's impossible to use this spell with peace of mind!"

Back in the laboratory, Brian pulled out his supreme-edition interdimensional communicator, which he had purchased at a great cost!

He dialed Catherine's video communication.

Soon, Catherine's figure appeared on the screen.

Her Excellency Catherine still looked as elegant and composed as ever, but Brian, who had interacted with her, knew that Her Excellency Catherine was also a woman who had emotions.

Like Eric last time?

If Catherine hadn't suppressed her anger, he probably would have been severely beaten.

"Brian, what's the matter? Have you developed something interesting again?" she asked, looking at Brian with interest.

After all, in the previous few times, every time Brian contacted her, it was to show her a new invention.

Even Spirit Eye's case was quite helpful to her!

Perhaps some people think that the Mage World already has Tower Spirits.

Isn't that just an artificial intelligence magic version?

This involves the question of whether it can learn and simulate.

Tower Spirits merely faithfully record and coordinate matters within the Mage Tower.

However, Tower Spirits do not learn, nor do they simulate, and it is unlikely for them to undergo life-level evolution.

Of course, there are exceptions; the older the Tower Spirit, the more likely it is to undergo life-level evolution, but this is only an isolated case!

And Spirit Eye, an artificial intelligence life, is already capable of independent thought, learning, and assisting her master in simulating various experiments.

Moreover, after Catherine's super upgrade, Spirit Eye has evolved into an intelligent life.

The two are simply not on the same dimension.

"Her Excellency Catherine, I'm contacting you this time to understand a situation."

Brian then recounted the situation regarding the Level 5 Super Electromagnetic Cannon spell to Catherine in detail.

As Catherine listened, her expression gradually changed from serious to pleased.

"Brian, this is a good thing! This is what we call a Limit-Breaking Spell. It means that a spell formed by the same number of magic runes will exceed the power of a spell of that level."

"We call this a Limit-Breaking Spell, which is a spell that surpasses limits and breaks through boundaries."

"Your Excellency, what is this so-called good thing?" Brian asked after a moment of joy, then raised his question.

"This also concerns laws. That is, if you create a Limit-Breaking Spell unique to yourself, your chance of advancing to Level 7 will be 10% higher than before, and after advancing to Level 7, you will inevitably comprehend the laws related to that spell."

Brian was pleasantly surprised upon hearing this.

This unexpected joy made his heart beat a little faster.

The significance of this to him was truly immense.

It also made his path to breaking through to Level 7 much smoother.

Brian suddenly thought of a question and continued to ask:

"Your Excellency, are there any special precautions regarding the use and subsequent research of Limit-Breaking Spells?"

"No, how could a Limit-Breaking Spell be so inconvenient! Limit-Breaking Spells are treasures of the Realm Sea! As long as you are in the Realm Sea, no matter which world you are in, as long as you create such a spell, the Realm Sea will bestow a subtle blessing."

Catherine explained to Brian,

"You can continue to strengthen and develop upgrades for it. However, there is one situation you need to pay attention to: try not to use this spell in low-level planes. Being too overpowered will trigger the world's instinctive reaction. This will cause it to discover you are an invader and resist you."

"Ah! Is that so! Thank you so much, Your Excellency! I am currently invading a low-level plane! I even cast one in the Dimensional Space. Will this affect anything?"

"Hmm, let me think... It shouldn't affect anything. Your Dimensional Space is a unique small space, and no special magical fluctuations have been transmitted outside the Mage Tower. So, it should have no impact."

"That's truly wonderful! Thank you, Her Excellency Catherine!" Brian said with a serious and grateful expression.

"Hey, it's a small matter! It seems I didn't misjudge you! And I didn't invest in the wrong person! You are truly excellent!"

When Catherine said "small matter," she waved her right hand lightly, and when she said "truly excellent," she slightly raised her chin and clasped her hands in front of her.

This indicated that she highly approved of Brian and herself.

She recognized Brian's excellence and her own foresight.

"Your Excellency, as long as I haven't failed your expectations!" Brian said gratefully.

Catherine's help to him was truly immense.

Without her help, his Spirit Eye might have been snatched away, the profits from selling intelligent robots might have been very, very small, and he might not even have enough money for the materials for the Mage Tower now.

All these things made him extremely grateful to Catherine.

"Hmm, keep up the good work! I'll be waiting for you ahead!" Catherine said, encouraging him with a smile, "Well then, Brian, Spirit Eye, goodbye!" She then ended the communication.

After ending the call with Catherine, Brian savored Catherine's last words!

Does this mean the big shot believes I can advance to Level 7?

Can I become one of her peers?

Thinking of this, Brian's mood was exceptionally cheerful.

The gains brought by the Limit-Breaking Spell were truly immense.

It was like a beacon in the darkness, illuminating his path forward.
