109: Level 4 Mage Tower
After finishing his official business, Brian decided to visit his family.
As he stepped out of the Mage Tower, he heard the crisp sounds of laughter and play from the corridor.
His second daughter, Lina, and third son, Kaine, were chasing a round-headed, round-bodied service robot—
It was 'Little Round,' assembled by Spirit Eye from redundant parts, responsible for delivering snacks within the tower.
"Catch it! It stole my crystal cake!" Kaine shouted, his small face flushed.
Lina giggled, watching from the side.
Vera floated quietly nearby, holding the pilfered crystal cake in her hand.
She tasted it in small bites, watching the children play, and the lines on her icy face softened slightly.
Spirit Eye's castle avatar, dressed in comfortable athletic wear, stood with hands on her hips, feigning an angry command:
"Stupid Little Round! Give the cake back to Kaine! Otherwise, I won't recharge you next time!"
Brian watched this scene full of life, a smile unconsciously curving his lips.
This lively warmth was the most solid anchor behind his power.
"Father!" Lina was the first to spot him, running over for a hug. "Hug!"
Kaine also stopped, looking a bit embarrassed.
Brian knelt down, picking up Lina with one arm and ruffling Kaine's hair with the other: "Lina, Kaine, if you want cake, you can ask the kitchen to make more, no need to chase the robot."
"Spirit Eye sister said whoever catches Little Round gets a reward of her special rainbow candy!" Kaine honestly confessed.
Brian chuckled, looking at the athletic-clad Spirit Eye.
She stuck out her tongue: "Moderate exercise is good for mind and body, Master!"
Just then,
his wife, Alice, along with Emily and Lucia, also emerged from the nearby tea room, clearly drawn by the children.
All three of them were currently pregnant.
Alice was seven months along, Emily four months, and Lucia three months.
That's why he was able to see them so completely at home.
Brian had also prepared corresponding delivery rooms for them within the castle.
He didn't plan for them to give birth in a hospital this time.
He would simply purchase the equipment!
Purchase three sets!
When it was time, he would arrange for doctors and nurses to come directly!
As they watched Brian's interaction with the children,
their faces were all filled with gentle smiles.
"Finished with work?" Alice stepped forward, straightening his collar.
"Yes, it's temporarily concluded."
Brian held her hand, "The territory and the new plane are both initially stable; now I can spend more time with you all."
Emily smiled: "That's perfect. Fannie was just talking a few days ago, wanting you to look at her new design for a seaside viewing pavilion."
Lucia softly added: "Father sent a message earlier, saying the family is all well, and he misses his grandchildren very much."
Listening to these everyday conversations,
Brian's heart finally found its anchor in this hustle and bustle, steadily docking in the harbor called home.
Conquest and power were means; guarding this peace and happiness before him was his fundamental motivation to keep moving forward.
After dinner, Brian returned to the research area on the seventeenth floor of the Mage Tower.
Spirit Eye's research lab avatar was already waiting there, with various analysis data of peculiar samples brought back from the Dawn Plane displayed on surrounding light screens.
"Master, we have some initial directions regarding the preliminary analysis of the orc soul inheritance and shamanistic nature magic."
Spirit Eye switched to researcher mode,
"Soul inheritance is more like a temporary borrowing of ancestral power fragments based on bloodline resonance, rather than true inheritance, which explains its instability and immense burden."
"Shamanistic magic, on the other hand, leans towards communicating with and guiding the faint elemental consciousnesses present in nature. It has low energy consumption and high environmental compatibility, but its upper limit seems to be restricted by the strength of these nature spirits."
Brian mused: "So, these two power systems are deep resonance at the bloodline level, and collaboration with semi-conscious energy entities?"
"Exactly! Master summarized it perfectly!" Spirit Eye nodded: "Currently, I think we should temporarily set aside the research on nature spirits and focus on soul inheritance!"
Upon hearing this, Brian's research flame instantly ignited.
Analyzing and integrating knowledge from other worlds.
This joy of creation was incredibly captivating.
"We can start the project!"
He made the decision, "Our goal is to dissect soul inheritance into a combination of runes, to form inscribable spells or creations! You will lead the initial phase! Once the Mage Tower on the Dawn Plane is established, I will take over again!"
"Okay, Master! Then I'll wait for you to research together!"
Spirit Eye happily agreed.
For her,
exploring the unknown and shopping for snacks were equally sources of joy.
In mid-March,
a colossal city, already taking shape, stood on the plains.
Dawn City, Imperial Core District.
Brian personally arrived here.
He was going to build his first Level 4 Mage Tower!
The original open space was now occupied by the base of a majestic building, a rough Mage Tower blank quickly shaped by the city builder using a "free spell combination."
Brian stood alone before the tower base, his expression solemn.
Building a legendary Mage Tower, especially its core part, had to be personally undertaken by the owner to achieve the most perfect fit.
He slowly raised his hands, and in the depths of his eyes, a pure and fiery silver flame suddenly ignited—it was the Level 4 Spirit Fire.
"Rise!"
With his low cry, the star steel ingots, already piled nearby like a small mountain, seemed to be lifted by an invisible hand, suspending in mid-air.
Brian gestured with his hands, and the Spirit Fire surged forth, not burning, but enveloping all the metal blocks like a warm tide.
Under the forging of the Spirit Fire, the hard star steel began to soften and melt, turning into flowing silver liquid.
This liquid did not drip.
Instead, under Brian's powerful mental control,
like a living silver stream, it continuously flowed towards the greyish-white tower body and quickly permeated it.
This was not a simple covering, but a deep fusion!
The characteristics of the Spirit Fire allowed different materials to perfectly combine at a microscopic level.
The greyish-white tower body visibly took on the silver luster of star steel, and its structural strength increased exponentially.
And this,
was just the beginning!
As the silver liquid flowed and integrated into the tower body,
Brian multitasked, his powerful mental force like the most precise carving knife, directly imprinting basic runes into the inherent structure of the materials at the moment of fusion!
This was an advanced technique!—
To complete rune inscription when the material was being forged by the Spirit Fire, at its most active and open moment.
In this way, the runes and the tower body material were no longer an attached relationship.
Instead, they were truly integral, and energy transmission efficiency would reach its theoretical limit, making it almost impossible to strip or wear away.
Blocks of star steel, chunks of void crystal, cores of elements... various rare materials, under the smelting of the Spirit Fire, transformed into the most fundamental construction units, carrying inherent runes, perfectly integrating into the tower body.
This process was slow and extremely mentally demanding.
After half a day,
he used his spirit as a hammer and magic as a flame.
He re-forged the tower from the inside out, from its skeleton to its skin.
When the last core rune was hammered into the capstone at the top of the tower, the entire twelve-story high tower suddenly trembled!
"Buzz—!"
A powerful magical fluctuation roared outwards, centered on the high tower.
The tower body's previously restrained brilliance instantly bloomed.
Innumerable profound runes flashed across the silver surface of the tower body.
Then they disappeared, as if completely integrated with the tower body.
Although many functional rooms and complex Magic Formations inside the tower still needed time to be filled and debugged,
and its energy system (also a Level 4 low-configuration version of high-energy magic storage arrays, world origin energy fusion reactors, and void element conversion pools) had not yet been fully activated,
the main body and core Magic Formations of this Level 4 legendary Mage Tower,
were already complete!
