29: Tutorial on building mage towers for two women

For the next ten-plus days, Brian remained in the Mage Tower, conducting research while awaiting the completion of the academy.

At noon, after Brian finished his meal in the castle, Gude approached him from outside the dining hall and respectfully said, "My Lord, Administrator Beethoven is currently waiting for you in the living room."

Brian nodded slightly, "Alright, I'll be right there."

He stood up, adjusted his Mage's robe, and walked towards the living room.

Upon entering the living room, Beethoven immediately rose when he saw Brian, a hint of excitement on his face.

"Lord, the internal renovations of the academy and the hospital are complete. Now we just need the teaching equipment and magic materials to arrive, and they can be officially put into use."

A flicker of joy passed through Brian's eyes.

"Excellent, Beethoven, you've done a superb job. How are things with the teaching equipment and magic materials?"

Beethoven replied,

"The teaching equipment has been fully procured. As for magic materials, the territory's reserves combined with what was previously purchased should largely meet the initial teaching needs. However, the Mage Towers will require you, Lord, to resolve."

Brian pondered for a moment, "Hmm, later I'll take Emily and Lucia to construct the Mage Towers."

"Oh, and have their residences been built?" Brian asked again.

Beethoven quickly replied, "They have been built. Both Mage Lords' villas have spaces reserved behind them for constructing Mage Towers."

Brian nodded in satisfaction, "Very good. Also, give me an update on the students."

"Lord, currently all 15 Mage Apprentices have signed contracts, and of the 180 Knight Apprentices, 160 have signed contracts," Beethoven reported.

Brian expressed great satisfaction with Beethoven's answer.

Brian was particularly pleased that all Mage Apprentices had signed contracts.

After all, this was the territory's future guarantee.

Brian thought for a moment, then added, "Hmm, not bad. Oh, and for the hospital, make sure to recruit more ordinary doctors so that Lucia doesn't have to deal with every minor illness or ailment."

"Later, Lucia will gradually train a few Mage Apprentices to work part-time in the hospital."

Beethoven respectfully said to Brian, "Understood, Lord. I will go recruit some ordinary doctors shortly."

"Hmm, remember to recruit comprehensively, including but not limited to doctors for infants, pregnant women, and childbirth," Brian instructed.

"Yes, Lord. I'll go arrange it now," Beethoven responded, then hurried out of the living room.

Brian sat on the sofa and instructed Gude, "Gude, go find Emily and Lucia and bring them here."

Gude responded and left.

Soon after, he returned to the living room with Emily and Lucia.

The two female Mages entered the living room, saw Brian sitting on the sofa, and smiled as they stepped forward to greet him.

Brian stood up, smiled in return, then gestured for them to sit down.

"Emily, Lucia, the internal renovations of the academy and hospital are complete, and the teaching equipment and magic materials are largely in place. Next, I plan to take you to see the locations prepared for your Mage Towers," Brian said.

Emily and Lucia exchanged glances, a hint of surprise flashing in their eyes.

They knew what a Mage Tower meant to a Mage—it was a sacred place for Mages to research magic and enhance their strength.

"Really? Mr. Brian, thank you so much!" Emily said gratefully.

Lucia also nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Brian smiled, "You're welcome, you've earned it. Let's go, I'll take you to see."

With that, he led the two towards the villa area.

Before long, the three arrived at the villas built for Emily and Lucia.

The two villas, though different in style, both exuded elegance and solemnity.

Behind each villa was an empty plot of land, reserved for the construction of their Mage Towers.

"These are the locations for your Mage Towers. Take a look, and if there's anything you're not satisfied with, or any special ideas you have, you can tell me," Brian said, pointing to the empty plots.

Emily and Lucia carefully observed their surroundings, expressions of satisfaction on their faces.

"Mr. Brian, this is excellent, we are very satisfied," Emily said.

Lucia also nodded in agreement, "Yes, Mr. Brian, the environment here is elegant and very suitable for building a Mage Tower."

Brian was even more pleased after hearing this, "Very good. Then you two prepare yourselves. I've brought all the materials for constructing the Mage Towers. Watch me build, and in the future, you'll need to learn to build your own Mage Towers."

The two female Mages expressed their gratitude once more.

Then, Brian began casting spells in front of Emily's Mage Tower construction site.

Petrify to Mud! Brian first transformed all the soil and stones on the ground into active mud.

Mage's Hand! He then molded the mud into a four-story tower shape.

Mud to Stone! Afterwards, he transformed the original mud into solid stone. Of the four stories of the Mage Tower, three were above ground and one was underground.

Stone to Gold! Finally, he transformed the original stone-like Mage Tower into a metallic-textured, metal-like material Mage Tower.

Then, Brian took out obsidian and other sturdy, magic-infused materials from his spatial ring.

Spirit Fire! Brian enveloped the obsidian and other magic materials, as well as the entire Mage Tower, with his Spirit Fire.

While using the Spirit Fire to fuse the materials, Brian said to Emily and Lucia,

"Did you see what I did? This is the basic operation for constructing Mage Towers of advanced level and below."

"First, shape it, then use the Spirit Fire to fuse the magic materials into the Mage Tower."

"Finally, engrave the relevant Magic Formations, and the Mage Tower will be complete."

"Of course, I'm casting a Level 2 spell, so the foundational sturdiness will definitely be a bit greater than what a Level 1 spell creates, but after fusing the materials, the difference isn't too significant."

As Brian explained, the magic materials gradually fused into the Mage Tower.

Subsequently, Brian began to engrave the Magic Formations of the Mage Tower.

Mysterious and complex Magic Formation patterns began to appear on the surface of the Mage Tower, these Magic Formations intertwined, emitting faint but stable magical fluctuations.

"These Magic Formations are the core of the Mage Tower; they can enhance the Mage Tower's defense, increase the speed of magic gathering, and allow Mages cultivating within the tower to better perceive magic elements," Brian explained patiently as he engraved.

Emily and Lucia stared intently at the Mage Tower, their eyes filled with focus and curiosity, not missing any detail.

"Once the Magic Formations are engraved, this Mage Tower will be largely complete. Afterwards, you can arrange some personalized magical devices or research labs within the tower according to your own needs," Brian continued.

As he spoke, the last Magic Formation pattern was steadily imprinted on the surface of the Mage Tower, and the magical fluctuations emanating from the entire Mage Tower suddenly intensified, a mysterious and majestic aura spreading out.

"Alright, this Mage Tower is preliminarily complete. Emily, you can now conduct magic research and cultivation here," Brian said, turning to Emily.

Emily excitedly stepped forward, gently caressing the outer wall of the Mage Tower, feeling the surging magic. "Mr. Brian, thank you so much! This Mage Tower is even more perfect than I imagined."

Brian smiled and waved his hand, "No need to be so polite, you've earned it. Lucia, it's your turn for your Mage Tower next. If you have any ideas during the construction process, feel free to bring them up at any time."

Lucia nodded, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, "Okay, Mr. Brian, I can't wait to have my own Mage Tower."

With that, the three arrived at the construction site for Lucia's Mage Tower, and Brian once again cast spells.
