130: Chinese New Year and the Elemental Legion
In the following days, the castle inside and out began to be decorated with lanterns and streamers, preparing to welcome the New Year.
Brian temporarily shelved the detailed plan for the planar expedition, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to family life.
He personally participated in the New Year's goods shopping (though most of it was handled by Spirit Eye, Gude, and the servants), inquired about the New Year's Eve dinner menu, played with the children, and selected New Year's gifts for his wives.
When the New Year's bell rang, brilliant magical fireworks bloomed over the castle, illuminating the happy faces of the family.
Brian held Aaron, surrounded by Alice, Emily, Lucia, and the four older children, Joey, and the three little babies in their cradles.
How he wished he could stay in this moment forever!
Wonderful! No words needed!
After the New Year, visiting relatives and friends, the leisurely holiday time quietly slipped away.
The sixteenth day of the first lunar month, early morning.
The festive atmosphere gradually subsided, and the rhythm of life became clear again.
Today, Eric would arrive early.
Brian and Spirit Eye came to the dock.
Waiting for Eric's arrival.
Not long after, outside the dock.
Space subtly twisted, and the next moment, a streamlined, bronze-gold Mage Tower silently appeared on the sea.
The tower gate opened, and Eric walked out, full of vigor, with a familiar smile on his face:
"Brian! Spirit Eye! Happy New Year! I suppose I'm on time for our appointment, aren't I?"
"Happy New Year, Eric."
Brian stepped forward, smiling as he replied:
"Perfectly on time. It seems you had a good year, full of spirit."
"Naturally! With the debt problem solved and your sponsorship in hand, I feel like the future is bright!"
Eric laughed heartily, then rubbed his hands, asking with some impatience:
"About that... the hundred thousand basic level 5 intelligent robots we agreed on, you see..."
Brian understood and nodded to Spirit Eye.
Spirit Eye immediately stepped forward and said to Eric:
"Mr. Eric, the hundred thousand basic level 5 intelligent robots you ordered have all been produced. They are currently stored in Master's Mage Tower, and you can inspect them and bind their permissions at any time."
"Excellent! Let's go, let's go, first to see my new recruits!"
Eric's excitement was evident.
Soon, the group arrived at Brian's Mage Tower in the castle district.
In the warehouse on the 12th floor, a hundred thousand basic level 5 intelligent robots with silver-blue coating were arranged in neat formations.
Like a silent steel forest, their cold metal shells gleamed under the Magic Formation's illumination.
Eric's eyes sparkled; as a master proficient in elements and summoning.
Although he didn't specialize in constructs, his discerning eye was still sharp, and he could clearly sense the excellent stability and powerful basic combat strength of these robots.
He released his spiritual power, quickly completing the initial permission connection with this batch of robots.
"Perfect! This is a huge help!"
Eric felt the hundred thousand stable and clear feedback signals coming from the spiritual link, and said sincerely:
"With them as the core and foundation, my tactical flexibility is greatly enhanced! Brian, I won't forget this favor!"
"As long as you like them."
Brian smiled:
"Then, as a return favor, won't you let me see your newly reassembled ace—the Elemental Legion? I've been looking forward to it."
"Haha, that's exactly what I intended! Let me show you my old trade!"
Eric was in high spirits, and with a wave of his hand.
"Come, to my tower!"
The group boarded Eric's Mage Tower and, via the spatial teleportation elevator, arrived directly at the 2nd-floor armory.
The space on this floor was extremely vast, clearly having undergone spatial expansion.
But unlike Brian's side, with its uniform, industrially aesthetic steel torrent, this place was more like a living fragment of an elemental plane!
There were no standardized products from a production line here; only elemental creatures summoned and permanently contracted by Eric with powerful magic.
The entire space was filled with soft yet powerful elemental spiritual light, divided into several distinct areas:
Wind Element Area:
Countless translucent wind spirits emitted sharp cries, weaving invisible cyclones in the air; several massive storm lords, composed of pure storms, floated high above, their cores flashing with lightning.
Fire Element Area:
The ground seemed to be made of cooled lava, with large and small flames, burning stone elements, and roaring flame walkers leaping upon it. The air was distorted by the high temperature, and a fire elemental spirit, like a phoenix, spread wings made of eternal fire.
Water/Ice Element Area:
A tranquil and cold area, where water bodies flowed and swirled on their own, forming elegant water elemental elders; in a corner exuding cold, ice crystal-formed frost giants stood silently, surrounded by an all-freezing chill.
Earth Element Area:
Like miniature mountains, mountain giants made of granite and obsidian moved slowly, each step causing a dull tremor; magnetic elements with metallic luster interfered with the surrounding energy field.
These elemental creatures varied in form, full of natural wildness and immense power.
Their energy levels were generally above level 5, and those lord-level existences exuded the pressure of peak level 6.
They were not manufactured, but summoned, contracted, and maintained here, with a deep link to Eric's spirit.
"How is it?"
Eric spread his arms, as if embracing this elemental domain he had created:
"This is my true power—the Elemental Covenant Legion! They are powerful beings with a certain degree of self-awareness and elemental instinct. I can command them, and even resonate with them, unleashing an elemental feast that transcends the sum of individual powers!"
Brian could clearly feel the activity and power of the elements in this space; he nodded and praised:
"Awe-inspiring power, Eric. In battle, for area suppression, environmental modification, and attribute strikes, your legion will be a decisive force."
"Exactly!"
Eric nodded vigorously:
"My Elemental Legion is responsible for unleashing elemental tides, changing the rules of the battlefield, and tearing apart enemy formations. Your steel torrent and final judgment, under elemental cover, will conduct relentless advances and precise decapitations! Our combination is simply perfect!"
Leaving this elementally turbulent armory floor and returning to the reception area, both men's expressions became a little more serious.
"Well, Brian, let's make the most of these next two days for our final joint tactical drills."
Eric said:
"The focus will be on communication coordination, friend-or-foe identification, and the timing of elemental environment cooperation with mechanized legion assaults."
"That's precisely right."
Brian agreed:
"Spirit Eye will fully cooperate with you. The drill area will be set in the expanded test field of the Dimensional Space Room, which can simulate various environments."
"Good! I'll go mobilize my children now!"
Eric was also a man of action.
Two days flew by in intense and efficient joint drills.
Roaring elements and silent steel continuously honed under the preset tactical framework, searching for the optimal synergistic rhythm.
All was ready, awaiting tomorrow.
The day of the expedition was fast approaching.
The elemental power and steel torrent from the Mage World were about to descend together upon another plane.
