132: Anvil Base

The construction of the forward base on the alien land commenced at full speed.

"Initiating terrain scan... Scan complete. Calling up Outpost Military Base Template A-07..."

With the command issued, two hundred city builders activated simultaneously.

The launch ports on their bottoms and sides opened, and countless sub-units, like a swarm of silver bees, poured out of their nests, spreading out instantly with a faint, dense hum.

A portion of the sub-units began to collect deep purple moss, strange trees, and underground minerals on the spot using their built-in collection tools.

Another portion, through short-range spatial teleportation, precisely delivered massive quantities of pre-set standard building materials from the city builder's main spatial storage area to their designated locations.

Concurrently, several compound Magic Formations on the main city builder units glowed brightly.

Turn Stone to Mud!

Turn Mud to Stone!

Turn Stone to Gold!

The Magic Formations, jokingly referred to by Brian as the "freebie combo," operated at full power!

The ground, processed by the sub-units, rapidly softened, leveled, and compacted, then ‘grew’ rapidly according to the template, as if shaped by an invisible hand!

A hybrid obsidian and metal foundation, one hundred meters deep and one hundred and fifty meters thick, was first sculpted.

It wasn't just a simple leveling of the land, but rather an expansion with a heavy and solid feel, embedded into the world itself, quickly outlining a magnificent square base with sides approximately fifty kilometers long!

Immediately following, along the foundation, massive city walls began to rise from the ground!

The moment the foundation took shape, an even more astonishing sight followed.

Along this beast-spine-like base, even more majestic city walls began to rise from the ground!

They did not rise vertically but with a stark slope, their interiors filled with intricate passages, weapon platforms, energy nodes, and troop bunkers.

The walls reached a terrifying height of five hundred meters and maintained a thickness of one hundred meters!

The surface of the city walls was not smooth but covered with reinforced firing ports, energy deflection arrays, and cooling bases for large defensive magic spells.

The outlines of four main gates and several concealed exits also began to appear, their deep archways wide enough for the largest war machines to pass through side-by-side.

At critical nodes of the city walls, especially at the four corners and at preset intervals, even taller defensive towers pierced the orange-yellow sky like sharp swords.

These towers generally exceeded six hundred meters in height, with spacious top platforms already reserved for installing heavy city defense weapons and combined spellcasting devices.

Inside the city walls, construction proceeded with equally astonishing efficiency.

A road network, like a circulatory system, was laid out first, wide enough to accommodate rapid movement of large legions.

The foundations and walls of large warehouse districts rapidly took shape, their internal spaces pre-divided, ready to store vast quantities of materials and ammunition.

The barracks clusters were multi-story buildings with sturdy structures, basic living provisions, and rapid deployment capabilities.

The prototype of the energy center emerged, with massive pre-buried energy conduits connecting to the large fusion reactors that would be installed in the future.

The command center was located at the heart of the base, its structure the most robust, and it began to lay the foundations for independent shield generators and communication arrays.

Repair factories, helipads, material distribution points... various functional buildings sprang up like mushrooms, rapidly ‘growing’ on this forcibly demarcated fifty-kilometer square of land.

All two hundred city builders operated at full power, their ethereal blue lights almost merging into a single continuous glow.

Hundreds of sub-units, like tireless worker ants, shuttled between the nascent structures.

They performed precise component installation, rune engraving, and energy line laying.

Massive quantities of standard building materials poured out from the city builders' spatial storage, merging with the locally converted and reinforced alien materials to jointly construct this steel fortress.

Eric stared at the colossal base taking shape at a visible speed on the light screen, and after a long moment, he finally uttered a single sentence:

"Brian... you're not just building an outpost anymore... you're directly dropping a main war city onto an alien world! Fifty kilometers square, five hundred-meter-high walls... my elemental legion would have more than enough room to run wild in there!"

Brian gazed at the miracle city being born, his eyes gleaming with the light of a planner:

"Since it's a bridgehead, it must have the confidence to withstand any impact. This forward base will be our unyielding foothold in this plane. It must not only withstand sieges but also possess the capability to support our long-term, large-scale strategic offensives."

The entire construction process lasted nearly ten hours.

When the final cap of the last defensive tower closed and the energy lines were initially connected, this behemoth, named by Brian as the [Anvil Forward Base], was finally declared to be initially completed!

It stood majestically on the land of the Constructed Vitality plane, its cold obsidian-metal city walls exuding an aura of 'keep out,' starkly out of place with the surrounding environment full of strange vitality.

Inside the base, although details still needed refinement, the main buildings were all complete, roads were clear, and the energy center began trial operation, emitting a low hum.

"Reporting, Master, the main structure of the Anvil Forward Base has been completed!

Basic defense systems (wall structure, reserved weapon platforms) are online.

The energy center has successfully started and is beginning to power the base's internal facilities.

Next, please instruct whether to begin deploying permanent defensive forces and refining internal facilities."

Spirit Eye reported, full of self-satisfaction.

"Well done, Spirit Eye."

Brian praised, then ordered:

"Begin deployment immediately! Directly dispatch one million robot legions and their accompanying Doomsday Judgment Squad as the base's standing garrison, under your direct command, responsible for base defense and daily patrols of the one-hundred-kilometer alert zone around it."

"Concurrently, subsequent projects must not stop. Prioritize the refinement of the command center's communication, reconnaissance, and fire control systems; accelerate the activation process for barracks and warehouses; begin deploying permanent anti-air positions and ground-to-ground missile silos in reserved areas; establish a comprehensive maintenance and support system..."

"I want this Anvil Base to reach full combat readiness within 48 hours, becoming the most solid fortress we have hammered into this plane!"

"Understood! Deployment orders have been issued. Subsequent construction project priorities have been set. The Anvil Base's full operationalization process has begun!"

Spirit Eye responded quickly.

More robots and supplies began to pour into this nascent steel city through teleportation gates, continuously.

Like blood flowing into the veins of a giant, it quickly came alive, becoming stronger and more dangerous.

Brian and Eric knew that the completion of the base was only the first step.

Such a huge commotion could not possibly escape the notice of the 'Constructed Vitality Alliance.'

The real challenge, perhaps, would soon arrive.

And this Anvil Base, like its name, would welcome and smash all invading enemies, becoming the solid starting point for conquering this plane.
