229: Stir up the water before catching fish

After provoking Han Dongxu once, Gu Qinghan ignored him.

He continued to wander around, killing Contractors, completely oblivious to being in someone else's territory.

Out in the open, he was so cautious because once discovered, the other party would pinpoint his location.

But here, not to mention the dim light and complex terrain, just the sheer number of Contractors inside was enough to make the other party hesitate to act.

If the other party truly intended to overturn this hunting ground to find him, Gu Qinghan could completely change his appearance and blend into the crowd.

However, Gu Qinghan speculated that if the other party had someone cautious enough, they likely wouldn't blow this matter out of proportion.

After all, Han Dongxu probably guessed he had the ability to change his appearance, and to kill him, he would have to keep him in this hunting ground.

Whoever wanted to leave this hunting ground would become the first suspected target.

As for the language barrier, Gu Qinghan was even less worried.

During university, when he tutored a little Girl, her family would invite him to stay for a meal.

And that little Girl loved watching Kimchi Country idol dramas, so over time, Gu Qinghan picked up some of the Kimchi Country's language.

While not overly professional, simple communication was no problem.

Now, Gu Qinghan wished for chaos, so he wouldn't have to search for people so painstakingly.

After a while longer, Han Dongxu still hadn't come to kill him, but Gu Qinghan had already killed several more Contractors.

After ending the life of a ferocious-looking Contractor, Gu Qinghan suddenly noticed that some light bulbs had lit up again, making the area a bit brighter.

At the same time, a voice amplified by a loudspeaker came from the exit; the owner of the voice was none other than Han Dongxu:

"For the time being, the hunting ground is under emergency lockdown."

"No one can enter or exit. If anyone suspicious is found, immediately report it."

"Someone has infiltrated. He can change his appearance, but he will definitely die here tonight!"

Very well, it seemed Han Dongxu was not as calm as Gu Qinghan had imagined; in fact, Gu Qinghan felt he had overestimated him.

But Gu Qinghan didn't know that Han Dongxu's rationality had been completely destroyed by several consecutive "landmines."

Han Dongxu's only thought now was to find Gu Qinghan and tear him to shreds.

He had even prepared to make all the Contractors in the entire hunting ground be buried with Gu Qinghan.

Gu Qinghan thought for a moment, then immediately changed his appearance and headed towards the entrance.

Along the way, he did see some people rushing towards the same place, but he wasn't in a hurry to act.

No worries, stir the water first to catch more fish.

Upon reaching the entrance, Gu Qinghan found that more than a dozen people had already gathered there, communicating with a team of guards.

"We just came in a moment ago, we didn't expect something like this to happen. Let us leave."

"Yeah, we've met before, haven't you forgotten?"

"Let us go, you can check me however you want."

The guards at the entrance were clearly much better equipped and more spirited than those Gu Qinghan had seen before, and they showed little leniency towards the pleas of these people.

However, the leader of the group still said:

"Leaving is impossible, but you can stay nearby, at least it's safer than being inside."

Hearing this, those people wanted to say more, but were glared at by the guard captain and timidly fell silent.

Gu Qinghan glanced around and didn't see Han Dongxu, realizing that he must have personally entered the field to find him.

He chuckled inwardly and gave an order to the Crow King remaining in the area.

An unpleasant and sharp cry immediately echoed, followed by the shattering of several light bulbs.

The recently bright lights were mostly destroyed in just a few seconds.

Someone immediately spotted the crows in the air and used a skill to attack, only to find them burst into a cloud of black feathers.

Some people, in their panic, even made mistakes in their aim, breaking light bulbs that hadn't been destroyed yet.

Everyone's attention was drawn to that side, but they didn't see someone throwing some corpses into the shadows.

Gu Qinghan used Corpse Impact on these corpses, and immediately, these long-dead bodies stood up and charged towards the people at the entrance.

Some people stumbled in panic, even being pushed by those next to them, yet no one dared to actively attack the person beside them.

They were almost all Demon Contractors; if they attacked each other, they would have to agree to a condition from the other party.

Before, they might have wanted the Demonic Power of others to strengthen themselves.

But now, they would definitely demand that the other party accept half of their Demonic Power, to delay the time they would turn into monsters as much as possible.

But no matter what, these people now dared not attack those beside them, yet they had to be wary of them.

"That person has infiltrated among us! Everyone be careful!"

With a warning, everyone moved away from the entrance.

Not only because there was already a faint layer of Death Poison Mist, but also because they had all lost trust in the people around them.

The light in the hunting ground dimmed once more, leaving only a few rays of moonlight filtering down from above, bringing them a tiny glimmer of hope.

When Han Dongxu, covered in bone armor, reappeared, he only saw a group of people running into the hunting ground.

Han Dongxu frowned, stopped a panicked woman, and asked:

"What's going on? Where is that person?"

However, the woman he stopped revealed an eerie smile.

An ominous premonition enveloped his heart, and Han Dongxu immediately retreated, but was instantly wounded in the thigh by a black greatsword.

Another greatsword he dodged, and the skeletons beside him immediately counterattacked, but the opponent once again escaped.

Han Dongxu angrily waved his hand in that direction, and a wall formed of stark white bones rose up, only to be quickly breached by the opponent.

He pursued with a livid face, ignoring the squelching sounds beneath his feet, but could only see several figures fleeing in a hurry.

He dared not attack the opponent; if the opponent was a Contractor, he might quickly turn into that kind of monster.

But letting this person go was absolutely impossible.

For some reason, Han Dongxu felt an aura similar to his own coming from the opponent.

Killing the opponent was his only thought now.

After a moment's thought, he suddenly led his skeletons towards the entrance, walking straight through the Death Poison Mist, and said to the guard captain:

"I'll guard here. Go call Piao Jun over."

"That person's ability is very strange; with his help, it will be much easier."

The guard captain hesitated, seemingly doubting whether Han Dongxu was an imposter.

Han Dongxu took a deep breath, lowered his head, took off his shoes that had stepped on several landmines, pressed them against the other person's face, and kicked him several meters away.

At the same time, he threatened in a voice filled with killing intent:

"Hurry up and call Piao Jun, or I'll make you eat this."

The guard captain nodded repeatedly; someone who could be so violent towards his own people surely wasn't fake.
