426: Collection complete, ready to merge

The newly opened feature did not cause much of a stir, and the crowd didn't even wait for any secret realm to be publicly revealed.

After all, the number of secret realms at this stage was not large, and the simple ones had long been solved by others.

The owners of higher-level secret realms did not want to make them public in the short term.

But regardless, the competition continued.

Gu Qinghan had generally selected the Professionals he needed, and once the competition ended, he would call these people together separately and use his talent to collect their Professional characteristics.

It wasn't that he didn't want to collect them now, but the distance was a bit far, and intermittent collection was not as good as doing it all at once later.

The battle finally ended around two or three in the afternoon, with a team possessing both a strong lineup and formidable individual strength claiming the final victory.

Gu Qinghan announced the results of the competition, said a few casual words, and then concluded this impromptu match.

Naturally, he also called out the names of the five people he had selected, asking them to come to his side.

As for Han Lie, he was currently receiving treatment and was not present.

Suddenly, a large raindrop the size of a bean struck Gu Qinghan's hand, followed by more dense, continuous raindrops.

Gu Qinghan looked up at the sky; it was raining.

The previous spectators were now running toward Whale Fall City, simultaneously discussing the battle they had just witnessed.

Gu Qinghan, however, did not leave. He instructed these people to remain there.

At the same time, Gu Qinghan led the group to a wide, open area.

"Can you keep this rain outside?" Gu Qinghan looked at Jiang Xiaoyu.

Jiang Xiaoyu nodded. He reached out and pushed toward the sky, and the raindrops surprisingly stopped in mid-air as if frozen.

Subsequently, these raindrops dispersed outward, forming a thin protective barrier.

The raindrops outside hit this water screen and were deflected, just as if they had landed on an umbrella.

This magical sight made even Gu Qinghan look sideways, but he quickly turned to the five people in front of him and said:

"Use your Professional abilities here, take turns, and only stop when I tell you to."

One of the Professionals looked at the ground soaked by the rain and hesitantly asked:

"City Lord, should we just use our skills on the ground?"

Gu Qinghan thought for a moment and released his Dragon Bear.

The moment the hundred-meter-tall Dragon Bear appeared, it elicited gasps of astonishment from the people.

Humans have an almost instinctive reverence and fear toward massive objects, and these people were no exception.

Gu Qinghan looked at Han Lie, who was carried to the side with a face covered in blood, and pulled Gu Qingyuan over, saying:

"Help him with some treatment. Otherwise, he might be unconscious for a long time."

While Gu Qinghan was doing this, Rou Rou and her Best Friend were running toward the city, shielding their heads with their hands.

Suddenly, the two saw a broad figure approaching, carrying a black umbrella.

Wang Yan was holding another umbrella in his hand, which he tossed to the two, saying:

"Let's go. I'll take you back."

The two Girls fumbled to open their umbrellas, exchanging a quick, secretive glance.

Even while opening the umbrella, the Best Friend mouthed the shape of "Go for it" to Rou Rou.

Since they had umbrellas, they didn't have to run like everyone else. Instead, they waited until everyone else had entered the city before starting to move.

The rain grew heavier. Just as they reached an intersection inside the city, Rou Rou's Best Friend suddenly shouted dramatically:

"Oh no, I think my clothes are still hanging out to dry!"

After speaking, she immediately pushed Rou Rou out from under the umbrella and ran off in a different direction.

In just a few short seconds, the Girl's thin clothes were soaked by the rain, outlining her attractive figure.

Wang Yan hesitated for a moment and moved his umbrella over her.

His hesitation wasn't about anything else; he was wondering whether to fetch another umbrella or share his with her.

Rou Rou looked up, her wet hair clinging to her face, making her look extremely delicate.

Wang Yan tried his best to infuse some emotion into his voice. He said:

"Where is your home? I'll walk you back."

Rou Rou hesitated, seemingly having made some kind of decision, and looked up at Wang Yan:

"My boyfriend is injured, and the key is on him. Can I wait for him at your place first?"

Wang Yan sighed inwardly, then nodded, and led the Girl toward his residence.

A few minutes later, Wang Yan brought Rou Rou back to his residence and pulled up a stool for her to sit on by the doorway.

His room was extremely simple; apart from a bed and basic furniture, there was almost nothing else.

Wang Yan walked to the window and silently watched the heavy rain outside.

The raindrops formed long lines, and these lines wove into a curtain of rain, making the world outside appear somewhat hazy.

Suddenly, Wang Yan heard a soft voice:

"My clothes are wet. Do you have any clothes I could change into?"

He turned his head and saw Rou Rou looking at him timidly.

Wang Yan instinctively wanted to refuse but held himself back.

He took out a clean short-sleeved shirt, threw it to her, and continued looking outside.

The sound of changing clothes came from behind him, and silence returned half a minute later.

But soon, that voice spoke up again:

"Your home is so clean. It doesn't look like a Male Student's residence at all."

"Yes, I like clean environments."

"But isn't that boring? Haven't you considered finding a Girl to live with you?"

"No. I'm a boring person. Nobody likes me."

Hearing Wang Yan's voice, Rou Rou stood up from the stool, biting her lip lightly as she said:

"But, I think you're quite cute..."

Wang Yan slowly turned his head, meeting a pair of eyes that held a hint of affection.

The rain continued to fall, showing no sign of stopping, as if it intended to wash away all the filth in the world.

Gu Qinghan watched the first five Professionals use their abilities in turn, and then selected the skills he needed.

The first skill was Qin Yongshan's Professional skill, which could absorb surrounding attacks and form a counterattack.

The second was the dash skill of the Shadow Spear Professional, intended to increase that Professional's damage output.

The third was a skill from an Excellent melee Professional, containing armor penetration and knockback effects.

The fourth skill was a ranged damage skill that also carried a certain control effect.

The fifth was a skill from an Epic Class, allowing the user to gain partial enhancement effects from other units.

The fifth skill was somewhat similar to Han Zhigang's skill, but the enhancement effect was not as exaggerated, yet it was easier to control.

But the most crucial one was the sixth skill, which was Han Lie's bound mount.

Only by integrating this skill could this Professional truly be considered cavalry.

Of course, Gu Qinghan wasn't sure if these skills would fuse as he wished, but that was a concern for later.

Watching Han Lie slowly stand up, Gu Qinghan couldn't help but instruct him:

"Just do what you can. Your Professional potential is huge; being weak is only temporary."

Han Lie nodded, looking gratefully at the City Lord who was roughly the same age as him.

Afterward, he used his Professional ability, and Gu Qinghan watched the progress of his talent collecting the Professional characteristics slowly increase.

At a certain moment, it was finally complete!
