66: The Skeleton's Second Class

Originally, Gu Qinghan felt that his vitality was too low, and he wanted to find a Profession with strong protective abilities.

But now, the sudden turn of events left him with no choice.

The characteristics of the Extreme Ice Wizard Profession had been fully collected, and Gu Qinghan, without any hesitation, converted half of his Skeletons into Ice Wizard Skeletons.

At this moment, more than twenty melee Professionals would most likely be defeated.

But if it was a combination of ranged and melee Professions, the winning rate would definitely soar.

Especially since they were in the dark, and Wang Haoming and his group were in the open.

Wang Haoming led two Professionals holding shields at the very front, his gaze constantly sweeping through the surrounding darkness.

Suddenly, he heard a sound of rushing wind from afar.

"Block it!"

The two Professionals holding shields were both Shield Guards; although they were basic Professions, they possessed considerable protective abilities.

Their expressions darkened, and they immediately caused a ripple to emanate from the shields in front of them, vaguely protecting everyone.

However, they soon discovered that what was flying over this time was not Bone Spikes, but rather Ice Cones radiating cold air!

The Ice Cones shattered into powder the moment they hit the shields, but they lingered around them instead of dissipating immediately.

Wang Haoming was truly panicked this time; he himself was an Extreme Ice Wizard, so how could he not recognize this skill he had used countless times?

"Who are you?! Why do you have my skill?!"

He roared at his surroundings, but no one responded to him.

Previously, there were actually three Epic Class Professionals in this area, but the other two had been tricked and killed by him in the first few days of the game.

Therefore, he became the strongest existence in this area and could command everyone under him.

But Gu Qinghan's appearance sparked an ominous thought in his mind.

He felt that today he might have provoked someone he shouldn't have.

Others around also seemed to be under attack, with cries for help and screams occasionally echoing.

"Over there! There's a light over there!"

A Professional saw two green flames ignite not far away and immediately pointed and shouted.

These Professionals had all lost their judgment at this point; as long as they had ranged skills, they all hurled them in that direction.

However, those two green flames instantly moved like leaping spirits in the darkness, rapidly approaching them.

"That thing is charging over! Run!"

The crowd immediately erupted in a commotion, with many retreating repeatedly.

But after those two green flames closed some distance, they suddenly vanished again.

In less than a few seconds, those two green lights reappeared in another spot, as if mocking their incompetence.

"Over there! Attack quickly!"

These people once again poured their skills into that area, but the result was a repeat of the previous process.

Wang Haoming's face turned stern, and he suddenly shouted loudly:

"Stop attacking! They are depleting our mana!"

However, some people still released skills towards the intermittently appearing green flames.

These green flames were naturally the pupils of the Death Mutated Cat, and under Gu Qinghan's control, achieving this was quite simple.

The Death Mutated Cat only needed to enlarge and run a few steps towards the group, then suddenly shrink back to its normal size.

If earlier there were too many people for Gu Qinghan to deal with all of them, now with over a hundred people, Gu Qinghan had the idea and confidence to keep them all here.

He hadn't failed to give these people a chance; even if they had left with the previous group, Gu Qinghan would not have put them on the kill list.

However, they stayed at Wang Haoming's instigation, wanting to kill him and seize his supplies.

The price of greed is not something everyone can bear.

Exploding Ice Crystals continued to shoot out from some hidden corners, and faint footsteps could still be heard.

But no one dared to break away from the group and charge forward; even when they tried to rush in one direction as a group, those two eerie green flames would instantly force them to stop.

Those who remained swallowed hard; some of them regained their senses and suddenly felt they might have made the wrong choice.

Unlike the earlier mere distraction, the things in the darkness seemed to carry intense killing intent with their attacks.

In this situation, some people quietly ran towards the back, but were hit by Exploding Ice Crystals, greatly slowing their speed.

Having left the group, they soon heard running footsteps around them.

Before they could react, two eerie green lights appeared in the darkness, rapidly closing in on them.

Following that were several black figures, and axes raised high, full of oppressive force.

In less than five minutes, out of the more than one hundred people here, fewer than a hundred remained alive.

And Gu Qinghan still intermittently released Bone Spike Technique for distraction, while having his Skeletons cooperate in killing these people.

If they wanted to kill him, then they should be prepared to be killed by him!

Wang Haoming finally couldn't endure the torment of this 'boiling frog' situation and wanted to lead the group downstairs.

But when they looked back, they suddenly saw a dark shadow at the stairwell that had just torn apart a person trying to escape.

By the light of a flashlight, they finally saw what that thing was.

It was a large black Mutated Cat, gently shaking off the blood from its claws, tossing aside the lifeless corpse.

"Mu... Mutated Creature!"

One person stammered out the words, causing everyone's legs to involuntarily feel weak.

The power of Mutated Creatures was undeniable, and this Mutated Cat before them was even more astonishing.

Needless to say, if they tried to rush downstairs, they would certainly pay a heavy price.

"Focus fire on it! It's only one, after all!"

Wang Haoming had never felt death so close, yet he realized that only a few ranged Professionals could still cast skills.

In the earlier panic, their mana had been largely depleted.

Next, it was Gu Qinghan's time to perform.

Suddenly, a sound of chains dragging echoed from beneath everyone's feet.

Some felt a chill at their feet and suddenly found an ice-carved chain wrapped around their ankle.

"Boss, what... what are you doing...?"

Someone immediately recognized this as Wang Haoming's second skill:

Ice Shackles.

Wang Haoming's face was ashen, and he could only grit his teeth and shout:

"It's not me! Why would I cast skills on you?!"

It certainly wasn't him casting the skill, because he noticed that Ice Shackles had appeared under the feet of about a dozen people.

He could only cast one of this skill at a time, but now he no longer had enough mana to cast it.

However, the strength of this skill lay in its extreme sturdiness, and the controlled enemy could only move within the range of the shackles.

Suddenly, he felt a chill all over his body; his hands and feet lost temperature for a moment.

More than a dozen Ice Shackles meant that the opponent had at least a dozen Professionals just like him.

Is that possible? No way!

A dozen Epic Class Professionals... just thinking about it made him feel a sense of powerlessness.

At this moment, Wang Haoming's survival instinct made his brain work quickly.

He knew that his chances of survival today were slim, but he still had one opportunity.

An opportunity that might allow him to escape with his life.
