90: Exclusive Equipment, Glory of Death

No one could answer Gu Qinghan's question, so he could only continue walking forward.

He saw a sculpture of a Beast Tamer pointing forward, surrounded by many fierce beasts.

"Is this a Beast Tamer? It seems I've reached the statues of the Outstanding Class."

"Is that... a Divine Craftsman? It would be great if Chen Yuting could also come in."

Gu Qinghan kept moving forward, almost forgetting the concept of time; his only thought was to keep going.

Finally, after seeing a statue surrounded by many floating weapons and armor, Gu Qinghan noticed that there were far fewer statues behind it.

These statues were no longer arranged in two rows, but in a fan shape.

And, the ground beneath his feet was no longer mist, but a void.

There were only corresponding paths leading to the directions of those statues.

"These should be the special Professionals, right? One, two... Hmm?"

Gu Qinghan wanted to count how many special Professionals there were, but found his vision seemed to be obscured by a layer of mist.

When his vision returned, there was only one path left in front of him; the other statues had vanished.

Gu Qinghan took a deep breath. When he saw this path, he knew it must lead to the statue of his own profession.

Because this path was paved with jade-like bones!

It wasn't as eerie and terrifying as he imagined; the entire path was like a work of art, guiding Gu Qinghan forward.

He slowly stepped onto it and soon arrived in front of a giant statue.

Unlike all the statues he had seen before, this statue also seemed to be carved from some kind of bone, not stone.

It was a statue of a man, hunched over, one hand clutching a skull staff, the other holding a worn-out book.

The man's face was old and haggard, as gaunt as the drug addicts Gu Qinghan had seen online.

"This is too ugly..."

Gu Qinghan frowned slightly. In his impression, a Necromancer should be a graceful and handsome figure.

Just then, a magnetic voice rang out, startling Gu Qinghan:

"Is it ugly? I think so too."

The person speaking was a pale-faced man. Unlike the statue, he had a very graceful and handsome appearance, like a gloomy young master.

He had appeared behind Gu Qinghan at some unknown point.

Gu Qinghan raised an eyebrow, then quickly bowed his head:

"Greetings, Mentor."

Although the man in front of him didn't look old, his presence here already made his identity obvious.

The man smiled slightly, gesturing for Gu Qinghan to rise:

"You're growing very fast; you're the second one to come before me."

"Someone was faster than me? Also a Necromancer?"

Gu Qinghan was a little surprised. He considered himself to have experienced a lot along the way, yet there was another Professional of the same class who was faster than him.

However, the man smiled and shook his head, saying:

"Let me feel your power. Don't resist."

As his voice fell, Gu Qinghan suddenly felt as if he was being seen through.

A dense Necromantic Energy appeared on the man's fingertips, connecting to Gu Qinghan's body, swaying slightly as if alive.

A moment later, he suddenly opened his eyes, a strange look in them:

"What is this?"

Gu Qinghan only felt a ripple in his necromantic space, and then a broken bone appeared in the man's hand.

"It's the shattered bones after those Skeletons died..."

Gu Qinghan scratched his head awkwardly, seemingly noticing that the man's gaze towards him was a bit off.

"After the Skeletons' soul fires dissipate, these shattered bones are almost useless and cannot make them stand up again."

"At least it proves they once fought for me, doesn't it?"

Gu Qinghan scratched his head, then suddenly noticed the man let out a light chuckle.

He nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly:

"Indeed, this is proof of their battles. You are right."

Then, he suddenly waved his hand towards Gu Qinghan, and immediately all the shattered bones in Gu Qinghan's necromantic space flew out.

A wave-like surge of Necromantic Energy emerged from the man's body, engulfing the massive number of shattered bones.

Under Gu Qinghan's stunned gaze, these shattered bones slowly shrunk, drew closer, and merged... A few minutes later, the shattered bones had disappeared, leaving behind only a jade-like staff.

The tip of the staff was an exquisite skull, with faint green flames seemingly flickering in its eye sockets.

The man handed the staff to Gu Qinghan, saying:

"Take it. This is for you."

Gu Qinghan said "Oh," but when he saw the staff's attributes, his hand involuntarily trembled:

[deaths glory (Silver): Necromancer exclusive equipment]

[Combat Power Increase: 1000]

[Effect 1: When your minions die, they will create an enhancement effect on remaining minions, which deactivates after combat ends]

[Effect 2: When your minions die, they will leave a weakened Bone Spear in place. These Bone Spears will attack alongside your Bone Spears]

[Effect 3: All damage you deal has a 10% chance to summon a Skeleton minion with 100 HP nearby.

Lasts a maximum of 1 minute, maximum quantity is Level * 10.]

This was the first exclusive equipment Gu Qinghan had ever seen, and he was deeply shocked by its attributes.

Three equipment effects, and almost all of them were related to death.

He immediately replaced his apprentice staff. Although the number of Death Rattle Summons decreased by 4, his personal combat power had now reached 1700 points!

Gu Qinghan excitedly bowed to the man, feeling his blood accelerate:

"Thank you, Mentor! I will definitely work hard when I return!"

"Returning already? This is your extra reward. Don't you want the original reward?"

Gu Qinghan was startled, then stared blankly at the smiling man.

The man casually flicked out a milky-white bead and explained to Gu Qinghan:

"This item can upgrade one of your skills. Choose for yourself."

Gu Qinghan didn't hesitate at all, immediately choosing to upgrade the Death Rattle Summon skill.

The bead instantly transformed into pure Necromantic Energy, drilling into Gu Qinghan's body.

After a feeling of complete transformation, Gu Qinghan found that his Death Rattle Summon had changed its name:

[Death Rattle: Revival: Consumes 50 mana to revive a powerful Skeleton Warrior to fight. Current maximum summon quantity: 26.]

Gu Qinghan frowned slightly. This skill... did it feel a bit wasteful?

His Skeletons were already powerful enough with the talent buff.

After all, no matter how strong a Skeleton Warrior was, it couldn't compare to a Skeleton with a Profession!

In his necromantic space, the previous Skeletons had disappeared, leaving only their equipment.

Gu Qinghan frowned slightly, then tried using Death Rattle: Revival here once.

A Skeleton Warrior, slightly taller than the previous Skeleton minions, walked out of the magic circle and stood beside Gu Qinghan.

"Combat power 300... not bad, but granting a Profession provides unique growth attributes..."

Gu Qinghan's frown deepened. He casually granted this Skeleton the Berserker Profession.

He froze for two seconds, then suddenly let out a strange cry:

"Holy crap!"

The current Berserker Skeleton and the previous Berserker Skeleton had almost no difference in appearance, only a larger skeleton.

However, the attributes Gu Qinghan saw were exactly double what they were before.

He thought for a long time, then suddenly realized where the problem was.

When he had previously granted a Profession, he received a prompt:

[Detected that the target being granted is a low-level summon. Effective attributes are halved.]

But now, Gu Qinghan didn't see this prompt at all.

Gu Qinghan put away the Skeleton, but the joy in his eyes was completely unconcealed.

He had to retract his previous thought; this skill was incredibly strong after upgrading!

If all Skeletons were fully summoned, Gu Qinghan would practically have twenty-six Epic Class Professionals under his command!

Twenty-six Epic Class Professionals, without any attribute reduction!
