361: Goodbye to an old friend

On the ground, the Treants and Professionals were still locked in combat.

Just then, a dark shadow suddenly expanded in the sky.

Within a few seconds, the shadow arrived above the battlefield; it turned out to be two huge, continuously circling crows.

Zhao Minghao controlled his monster, ripping apart a Human-faced Treant, and then looked up with a grim expression.

"Haven't these damn things not shown up for a long time? Why are they suddenly appearing again?"

A hint of despair flashed in his eyes; continuous fighting had already exhausted most of his energy.

Especially since these two massive black crows seemed very interested in them.

In one instant, Zhao Minghao saw the huge crows suddenly stop circling and dive downwards.

His face instantly became extremely ugly, and he yelled loudly toward his surroundings:

"Get down! There are Mutated Creatures!"

Although lying down during combat sounded ridiculous, when danger approached from high altitude, the lower the position, the safer they were.

Many Professionals quickly disengaged from the fight, glanced at the huge crows approaching in the sky, and immediately dove to the side.

However, not all of them succeeded in this action; soon, one person was entangled by a Treant's vines while diving away.

The person looked terrified, watching as another Human-faced Treant also released vines towards him.

These two monsters were actually trying to tear him into two pieces!

But just then, the two huge crows in the sky had already approached the ground.

They did not attack the Professionals, but instead used their sharp talons to grab the two Treants that were entangling the Professional.

With a cracking sound, the sharp bird talons plunged directly into the bodies of the two Treants, tearing them into halves.

Everyone around was stunned; it turned out these two Mutated Creatures were here to help them.

But soon, someone noticed that there seemed to be people on the backs of both crows.

On the back of one crow was a woman with a graceful figure.

And on the back of the other crow was a man dressed entirely in black, lying prone.

If one didn't look closely, they might even mistake him for black feathers on the crow's back.

That wasn't all; suddenly, ten grayish-white figures wielding giant axes appeared from nowhere and landed directly on the field.

They were like divine beings descended to the mortal world, killing the surrounding Human-faced Treants one by one with their axes.

The man in the sky casually threw a red sphere, which landed directly in the area densest with monsters.

Immediately after, a terrifying explosion sounded, directly blowing away all the Treants in a large area.

By the time they landed on the ground, they had already become fragmented pieces of wood.

Another huge black shadow descended from the sky, turning out to be an incredibly tall black bear!

As soon as it appeared, it casually grabbed two Treants and hurled them toward the densely packed monsters in the distance.

The black-clad figure jumped off the crow, walked unchallenged in front of Zhao Minghao's massive monster, and looked up to ask:

"Have I met you before?"

His voice carried a hint of doubt but was calm as water, showing no disturbance from being in the middle of a battlefield.

Zhao Minghao looked at Gu Qinghan on the ground and swallowed hard.

Although he was currently standing on the shoulder of his tall monster, he felt that the man on the ground was the one looking down on him.

He didn't drop his guard but countered suspiciously:

"Your voice sounds a little familiar; we should have met.

Who are you? Are you here to help us?"

Although he understood that if the other party wanted to kill him, he would likely be completely powerless to fight back.

The strength was overwhelming, powerful enough to extinguish any thought of resistance.

Gu Qinghan thought for a moment and said jokingly:

"I am Li Qingshan, don't you remember me?"

Zhao Minghao raised an eyebrow; he had definitely heard that name, but where exactly?

Seeing that the other party hadn't recalled him, Gu Qinghan also put away his joking manner and said:

"Do you remember the guy who used to bring skeletons with him?"

At that, a flood of memories poured into Zhao Minghao's mind like a tide.

He suddenly remembered that when the game first started, most people didn't dare to go out, and only a very small number dared to take the initiative to attack.

And there was one Male Student dressed in black who, accompanied by a group of strange, armored skeletons, repeatedly cut through the zombie hordes.

"Gu... Gu Qinghan?"

Zhao Minghao's voice trembled slightly, because for a long time, the name Gu Qinghan had been a spiritual pillar for many of them.

Many people knew that Gu Qinghan had emerged from this place.

And that name that had dominated the rankings for so long, Gu Han, was very likely this man!

Gu Qinghan smiled, nodded lightly, and said:

"That's right, it's me. I came back to check on you all."

He felt happy at this moment, experiencing the joy of meeting an old acquaintance.

Back then, he was just a miserable young man forced by Li Qingshan to hide and develop in Zone C, only daring to return for revenge after ensuring he could kill the opponent.

Now, he was an expert who could easily save hundreds of people.

Less than three months had passed, yet it felt like several years.

However, the joy on Zhao Minghao's face only lasted for a moment before he immediately shouted:

"Wang Yan and Han Zhigang are up ahead, quickly go help them!

Han Zhigang supposedly knows you too—he's the guy who is slightly hunched and brings a dog!"

Gu Qinghan nodded, returned to the back of the Crow King, and looked toward the rear of the battlefield.

But after looking around, he only saw a group of Professionals who were in a very sorry state being besieged.

As for any Mutated Dog, he didn't see one at all.

Gu Qinghan frowned and immediately shouted down:

"Get away from the battlefield! You have three seconds!"

He was naturally speaking to the Professionals, but by this time, most of them had already retreated.

After all, Gu Qinghan's first moves were all area-of-effect abilities, and no one dared to test the power of those skills.

Immediately afterward, people witnessed a shocking scene.

They saw a giant bone hand suddenly appear out of thin air above the sky.

After the bone hand appeared, it smashed violently downwards.

Numerous Treants were flattened at this moment, attempting to counterattack using vines and strips of wood.

But the bone hand was like pulling out weeds, easily tearing off the branches and trunks of the Human-faced Treants.

Subsequently, the bone hand rampaged across the field, quickly clearing out a large open space.

By the time this massive bone hand dissolved into specks of white light and vanished, the ground was already a mess.

At the same time, the pressure on the fleeing Professionals was greatly reduced, and they seized the opportunity to retreat to a safe area.

One of them glanced at Gu Qinghan with lingering fear and shouted toward Zhao Minghao:

"He transformed! And those Blood Kin deliberately lured them over!"

Zhao Minghao's pupils suddenly contracted. His current high position naturally allowed him to see more clearly.

Most of these rioting Treants had been cleared out by Gu Qinghan, but Wang Yan's figure was nowhere to be seen.

Forget Wang Yan, he didn't even see the shadow of a single Blood Kin.

Gu Qinghan also descended from the sky, shaking his head with a solemn expression.

Wang Yan and Han Zhigang seemed to have simply evaporated from the battlefield.
