459: Ocean whales
Over by the Dragon General, a large amount of seawater condensed into water arrows, shooting towards the exposed parts of the Giant Whale.
However, these water arrows hitting the Giant Whale’s body had no substantial effect whatsoever, like a child playing around with a water gun aimed at an adult.
Meanwhile, the ordinary dragon-people nearby frantically began defending themselves, controlling the seawater to block the water droplets raining down from the sky.
The Majestic Dragon-person seemed to realize that the Giant Whale’s current strength far exceeded his imagination, and he spoke to those around him:
"Everyone retreat! Staying here now is just suicide!"
But Gu Qinghan immediately spoke up, simultaneously allowing Jiang Xiaoyu to join the battle:
"If you leave, won't we lose our chance to participate?"
Jiang Xiaoyu, carrying a massive wave, charged directly toward the Giant Whale.
Or rather, he charged toward this powerful creature named Oceanic Giant Whale:
[Oceanic Giant Whale (Emperor): Level 73]
[Combat Power: 4,280,000]
A combat power of four million caused a feeling of despair to surface in everyone who saw it.
But along with that, a firm resolve to kill surged within Gu Qinghan.
If every Mutated Creature possessed talent, this Giant Whale was definitely a monstrous genius among them.
If allowed to continue growing, this fellow would absolutely become an extremely terrifying existence.
Therefore, no matter the cost, Gu Qinghan was determined to kill it today.
After slightly calming the somewhat restless Deep Sea Tentacle, Gu Qinghan looked toward the Oceanic Giant Whale again.
As the dragon-people retreated, the behemoth once again felt the urge to sink beneath the water surface.
Seeing this, the Majestic Dragon-person could only grit his teeth and shout:
"Stop the retreat! Continue forcing this Giant Whale to stay afloat!"
Afterward, he looked at Gu Qinghan and said seriously:
"Friend, please act immediately, or our cooperation ends here!
We can make the water surface act like solid ground for you to move on, but you must show your sincerity!"
He could tell that Gu Qinghan was somewhat dissatisfied with them and clearly intended to trick them.
Hearing the other party’s words, Gu Qinghan smiled, then allowed Luo Mu to join the battlefield as well.
"Remember, slack off first; don't go all out."
Luo Mu nodded. Looking at the seemingly viscous seawater below, he leaped straight down.
When he landed on the sea surface, he immediately felt as if he were stepping on a massive waterbed.
Although there was still a noticeable difference compared to standing on solid ground, it was enough for Luo Mu.
Streaks of purple lightning appeared on his body, and a long, slender lightning spear materialized in his hand, which he fiercely thrust toward one of the Giant Whale's wounds.
Gu Qinghan had originally intended to remind him not to engage in close combat, but out of trust in Luo Mu, he decided not to interfere with his actions.
The water droplets in the sky had all fallen, and Gu Qinghan also sent out all the Death Knights around him.
However, feeling that his slacking off was too obvious, he summoned more Death Knights, forming a fifty-person squad to surround and attack the Giant Whale.
Chen Yuting delicately moved her slender finger; a faint green arrow suddenly appeared on the bodies of these Death Knights, and their speed instantly accelerated.
Similar arrows also appeared on Luo Mu and Jiang Xiaoyu, making their movements much swifter.
She then gently slid her finger toward the Giant Whale, and a red arrow flashed across the massive whale’s body, which subsequently seemed to slow down slightly.
Gu Qinghan turned to look at her, his eyes filled with surprise:
"No wonder you wouldn't tell me your detailed abilities no matter how many times I asked. You're this powerful?"
Chen Yuting let out a soft snort, but quickly added with some concern:
"The Giant Whale is barely affected; its speed has only been reduced by less than five percent.
Under normal circumstances, its speed should have been reduced by at least twenty percent."
Gu Qinghan opened his mouth. Chen Yuting’s situation could be considered a blessing in disguise.
However, he felt something was amiss, as Chen Yuting’s class seemed too strong.
This was not an offensive class; it was more like a support class.
This class could accelerate and decelerate targets, and it could affect multiple units simultaneously.
He had a feeling that this class had appeared specifically to complement him.
Everything that happened within the Time Rift Secret Realm made him believe this feeling even more.
But was this possible? Could such a coincidence exist?
Or perhaps, he and Chen Yuting were just one of the countless possibilities, happening to achieve this perfect synergy by chance.
The current situation did not allow Gu Qinghan to dwell on it; he merely sighed softly and continued to focus his attention on the battlefield.
Although several of them were slacking off—Gu Qinghan even suspected the Dragon General was hiding something—they were subtly managing to withstand the Giant Whale’s offensive.
It was important to note that their current lineup was absolutely unique, featuring Jiang Xiaoyu and Chen Yuting, two Clerics, participating in the battle.
Gu Qinghan, naturally, went without saying—ordinary Clerics would have to walk around him—but Luo Mu, conversely, became the weakest link.
However, Luo Mu had once said that he could become a Cleric at any time, which would also come with a powerful attack.
The Dragon General’s strength was definitely not weaker than Jiang Xiaoyu’s, and combined with the existence of the Oceanic Sub-Dragon, it was equivalent to three Clerics.
Therefore, they were essentially six Clerics fighting against this Giant Whale—a truly luxurious lineup!
But soon, the dragon-people discovered the problem.
Although Gu Qinghan and the others had joined the fight, they were causing no substantial damage whatsoever.
Gu Qinghan’s Death Knights were like a swarm of flies, constantly harassing the Oceanic Giant Whale, but no effective attacks were observed.
Jiang Xiaoyu was like a loach, appearing and disappearing unpredictably, but also failing to achieve any crucial effect.
There was even less to say about Luo Mu; his lightning was flashy and overbearing, but it couldn't penetrate the Giant Whale's thick skin when it struck.
In other words, Luo Mu at the moment looked somewhat like a noob who had purchased the most expensive skin.
Conversely, the Dragon General, riding the Oceanic Sub-Dragon, became the Giant Whale’s main target due to the large size of his mount.
Within a few minutes, the Oceanic Sub-Dragon had lost quite a few more scales, and its overall appearance seemed somewhat listless.
Finally, the Dragon General couldn't hold back anymore. He raised the trident in his hand high, and the Oceanic Sub-Dragon beneath him suddenly leaped from the water surface into the air.
Following this, the Oceanic Sub-Dragon spewed a stream of water several meters thick from its mouth, shooting fiercely toward the Giant Whale.
The Dragon General leaped forward, his body carried by the extremely fast stream of water, and he pointed the trident directly at the Giant Whale below.
Gu Qinghan’s eyes lit up; he was finally going to get serious.
Just as the Dragon General was about to descend, the Oceanic Giant Whale twisted its body and swung its massive tail out again.
Subsequently, the two collided again, causing the surrounding seawater to churn wildly.
Immediately afterward, the Giant Whale’s tail was actually struck down, slamming violently into the water and kicking up huge waves.
Gu Qinghan could see a visible piercing wound on the Giant Whale’s tail.
The Dragon General’s full-power strike actually possessed such terrifying might!
