241: Soul Whipper

Even though Gu Qinghan had imagined this equipment to be very powerful, the commotion it caused still startled him.

The scene just now completely overturned Gu Qinghan's understanding.

Such power might only be achieved by some powerful heavy weaponry before games began, right?

Two torrents of Necromantic Power roared towards Gu Qinghan, directly crashing into his body.

Gu Qinghan's level sharply increased by one, and he was only a tiny bit away from the next level.

"Where's that Maimed Demon from earlier?"

Before Piao Jun could answer, Gu Qinghan had already spotted the Maimed Demon's location.

A ferocious Bone Spear appeared in Gu Qinghan's hand, then flew towards the Maimed Demon.

"Don't bother, I've shot it with over a dozen spears already, and it's just..."

Piao Jun was about to speak when he suddenly saw countless white lights on the ground converging towards the Bone Spear.

The Bone Spear pierced the Maimed Demon like lightning, shattering all skills in its path, and finally impaled the disgusting blob of flesh.

The Maimed Demon suddenly stiffened, its massive body slowly toppling over.

Another instant kill!

Piao Jun suddenly grinned foolishly, pointing at himself, then at Gu Qinghan.

His expression seemed to say:

"Am I too weak, or is this guy too abnormal?"

Meina, who had already joined Piao Jun, sighed and whispered, "You'll get used to it. I wouldn't even be surprised if he killed that High-Level Demon."

Piao Jun nodded, an expression of getting a stool to watch the show on his face, and said nothing more.

However, Gu Qinghan threw him a storage ring and said, "Help me collect all the Maimed Demon corpses. I have a use for them."

"What do you want those corpses for..."

Piao Jun suddenly covered his mouth, then tactfully took the ring and jumped down to collect the corpses.

Han Dongxu had been flung a great distance, and the fire ring had long since dissipated, leaving the ground safe.

Gu Qinghan looked at the enormous phantom in the distance. Despite such a heavy blow, it hadn't directly collapsed.

In fact, the fiery phantom was re-coalescing, repaired by clusters of small flames around it.

Crossbow bolts were still showering the opponent, but they passed through the phantom, causing negligible damage.

Gu Qinghan hesitated, then suddenly closed his eyes.

Having just killed another Maimed Demon, he had already reached level 35.

A soul fire lit up and floated into the large door in his consciousness.

Gu Qinghan knew that this soul fire had floated into the Necropolis.

With a thought, Gu Qinghan let his consciousness follow and enter the Necropolis.

If a random piece of equipment picked up in the Necropolis could severely injure this High-Level Demon, then there must be other ways to deal with this guy in the Necropolis.

Even though this High-Level Demon hadn't fully descended, Gu Qinghan had only advanced a short distance into the Necropolis before!

After a brief darkness, Gu Qinghan once again saw the scene within the Necropolis.

However, this time, it was his consciousness that had arrived in this place.

He could see several soul fires floating in the air, like mischievous little sprites.

Behind these soul fires seemed to be several areas of different colors, dotted with numerous soul fires.

This scene gave Gu Qinghan a strange feeling; these soul fires seemed to have detached from those areas, forced to gather there.

The few floating soul fires quickly seemed to be drawn by something, flying rapidly downwards.

Gu Qinghan didn't have time to observe the areas of different colors, focusing his gaze on the soul fires.

He watched as the soul fires flew all the way into the interior of the Necropolis, illuminating the Death Swordsman sculptures below.

Soon, they flew past the area where Gu Qinghan had previously stopped, heading deeper.

However, Gu Qinghan's consciousness was blocked in place by a mysterious force.

The soul fires hadn't flown far before they seemed to find their destination, descending downwards.

One, two... until all the soul fires had fallen, that area suddenly plunged into darkness again.

And the next instant, Gu Qinghan suddenly saw two streaks of green flame light up in the darkness there.

These two flames were brighter than the flames in the Skeletons' eyes, even causing Gu Qinghan a stinging sensation in his mind.

The next moment, the two flames rapidly expanded in Gu Qinghan's vision, carrying him out of the Necropolis.

[Soul Scourger requests to establish a master-servant contract with you, to follow you into battle. Do you agree?]

Gu Qinghan almost instantly chose to agree. The next moment, Gu Qinghan's eyes snapped open.

Before him, a formation emitting a faint green light slowly appeared, followed by a figure that made Gu Qinghan frown.

This figure seemed somewhat illusory, lacking a physical body, yet it dragged a long iron chain in its hand.

At the tip of the chain was a sharp barb, making one's eyes sting just by looking at it.

The reason Gu Qinghan frowned was that this guy was truly too ugly, to the point where just looking at it made one feel uncomfortable.

"Can you deal with it?"

Gu Qinghan looked at this indescribably ugly guy and posed the most urgent question.

The Soul Scourger didn't speak, merely floated towards Han Dongxu, whom Gu Qinghan was pointing at.

Gu Qinghan then realized that the other party was also a soul entity!

At this moment, Han Dongxu had re-coalesced the massive phantom, once again releasing the fire ring that could burn people's souls.

But this time, the Soul Scourger spun the chain in its hand twice, then swung it with a whoosh towards the spreading fire ring.

The soul flames, which Gu Qinghan had no way to deal with, were now directly extinguished!

Clang—Clang—

The chain was slowly reeled in, making a series of scraping sounds.

Even though the chain had no physical form, it allowed everyone present to hear a clear sound.

Han Dongxu also noticed this suddenly appearing guy at this moment. The phantom behind him condensed a fiery whip and lashed it this way.

But how could Gu Qinghan allow his subordinate to be harmed, even if this new subordinate was quite unsightly?

A large group of Temporary Workers had already surrounded him, among them were also Death Swordsmen.

The fiery whip swept through a large group of Temporary Workers. These Skeletons' bodies instantly stiffened, then slowly fell.

But their numbers were simply too great, stopping the momentum of the fiery whip dead in its tracks.

Then, the Soul Scourger once again spun the iron chain in its hand, throwing it towards the phantom behind Han Dongxu.

The rattling sound echoed, yet it was so pleasant to the ear at this moment.

The tip of the chain directly sank into the phantom, and the Soul Scourger, roughly the size of a normal person, suddenly pulled with force.

The enormous phantom, like pulled dough or stirred jelly, suddenly began to fluctuate violently.

Several more fiery whips lashed out, but they were blocked by the Temporary Workers' bodies, then severed by five Death Swordsmen carrying black aura.

Rip—

A strange sound echoed in this space, as if something had been torn apart.
