544: Dragons have reverse scales

"Cough, cough, cough... I... I can't break through its defense at all!"

At this moment, Jiang Xiaoyu was covered in scorched marks, with multiple burns on his skin.

He had originally thought he could hide within the waves and deliver a heavy blow to the Dragon at a crucial moment.

But when he stabbed his trident into the Dragon's abdomen, he found that he still couldn't break through the defense of its scales.

The scales completely encased the body of the Fire Elemental Dragon, leaving absolutely no blind spots.

Jiang Xiaoyu, momentarily stunned by this realization, was nearly killed when the Dragon lowered its head and unleashed an explosive Dragons Breath.

If Chen Yuting hadn't just applied a Time Guardian effect on him, Jiang Xiaoyu would already be a corpse.

At this moment, Han Lie also arrived near one of the Dragon's wings.

Behind him, his original two arms were wildly writhing, their flesh splitting into six limbs.

All six arms attacked the joint connecting the Dragon's wing to its body, producing sounds like the clanging of metal.

Han Lie's expression was grim; his position was relatively safe, so he hadn't fled immediately.

However, when he switched to attacking several different spots, he found that every part seemed equally hard.

The defense of this Fire Elemental Dragon was simply too exaggerated.

Just then, the Dragon's scales suddenly began to turn red, forcing Han Lie to abandon his attack.

Following this, the Dragon turned its head, and the flames gathered in its throat erupted like a high-pressure water cannon!

Han Lie was startled, but at that moment, the Dragon raised its wings high, limiting his space for evasion to a very small area.

The Dragons Breath covered a vast area, and he seemed to have nowhere to hide!

"Holy Skill, Steal the Heavens! Damn you, steal it for me!"

Suddenly, a heart-rending scream came from the ground; it was Piao Jun's voice.

It was unclear whether Piao Jun's furious roar had been effective, but this time, the Dragons Breath sprayed by the Fire Elemental Dragon suddenly dissipated into scattered sparks just as it was about to engulf Han Lie.

Han Lie, who had already assumed a defensive posture, breathed a sigh of relief and immediately seized the chance to retreat to a safe location.

The Fire Elemental Dragon was somewhat confused by the disappearance of its own Dragons Breath, but quickly, it swung its thick tail toward the rapidly retreating Han Lie.

Han Lie protected his head with his hands, while the six arms behind him shielded his vital areas.

Then, he was smashed into the ground like a meteor by the Dragon's tail, rolling several meters before finally coming to a stop.

Han Lie quickly got up; although he hadn't sustained fatal injuries, the immense force had left his entire body feeling as if his bones had been scattered.

"Can this thing really be killed? It simply has no weakness!"

Piao Jun was currently using the stolen Dragons Breath skill to distract the Dragon, and the Dragon, seemingly having noticed the thief, flapped its wings and flew toward him.

Anyone could see that this Dragon still seemed to have a playful attitude.

It was like a grown adult in a boxing ring suddenly being challenged by a babbling infant; the adult would definitely not be able to take it seriously.

This feeling of being treated as weak was truly unpleasant, but they seemed to have no recourse.

Chen Yuting hadn't spoken the entire time; her beautiful eyes scanned the Dragon's body back and forth, as if she were contemplating something.

Ten seconds later, she suddenly turned her head to look at Han Lie and Jiang Xiaoyu:

"Don't you think the appearance of this Dragon is somewhat similar to the Dragons in mythology?"

The two men were momentarily stunned, but quickly nodded in agreement.

Dragons, in both Eastern and Western mythology, are the absolute synonym for power.

However, the Dragon before them wasn't exactly like the images found in either Eastern or Western myths.

But if one looked closely, this Dragon possessed many characteristics of Dragons from both Eastern and Western mythology.

"Gu Qinghan told me before that someone had discovered some prophecies about Dragons, suggesting that people in the past must have seen them.

But he was also puzzled, because if Dragons truly existed, human civilization shouldn't have been able to continue until now.

Yet now, it seems these mythological stories about Dragons really do have some connection to this Dragon."

Chen Yuting spoke again, her tone urgent, while simultaneously applying a Time Guardian effect to Piao Jun in the distance.

Then, she looked at Jiang Xiaoyu and Han Lie, her eyes flickering slightly:

"Therefore, he mentioned a possibility back then: that some of the records concerning Dragons might actually be true!"

This statement left Jiang Xiaoyu momentarily unable to react, but Han Lie suddenly spoke up:

"In Western mythology, Dragons can use elemental power, and their physical defense capabilities are heaven-defying.

Isn't this exactly the situation we're facing now? We simply can't break through its defense!"

Jiang Xiaoyu suddenly realized the truth, slapping his own head:

"I also know some legends about Dragons, like how Dragons are inherently lustful, and that a Dragon has nine sons!"

"What are you talking about!" Chen Yuting was speechless. "There's one saying you two should have heard."

"What?"

"A Dragon has a reverse scale; touch it and die!"

Chen Yuting's words were like a bolt from the blue, causing the two men, who were already flustered, to immediately grasp the implication.

If this Dragon truly had no weakness, then no matter how many people they had, they would be unable to contend with this terrifying existence.

But does a creature with absolutely no weakness truly exist?

They didn't know, but they had to firmly believe that such a creature could not exist!

"I understand, Jiang Xiaoyu. I will distract this Dragon; you search the surroundings for that so-called reverse scale!"

Han Lie looked at Jiang Xiaoyu, a hint of excitement flickering in his eyes.

Influenced by the Demonic Power, the consecutive setbacks suffered at the hands of the Dragon had driven his fighting spirit to its peak.

At this moment, even if it wasn't for Luo Mu, he wanted to kill this Dragon and use its blood to celebrate his victory.

Jiang Xiaoyu was somewhat skeptical, but Piao Jun clearly couldn't hold on much longer, so he could only nod immediately and charge out with Han Lie.

Piao Jun, whose body hair had been completely burned off by the high temperature, nearly burst into tears when he saw the two men rushing back.

During the last few evasions, he had practically exhausted all his life-saving methods.

This was only because the Fire Elemental Dragon clearly had a cat-and-mouse mentality, which allowed him to hold out until now.

"I love you guys!" Piao Jun yelled, his voice strained.

Han Lie had now completely merged with the demonic shadow behind him; he looked like a demon emerging from the abyss, his body even towering four or five meters high.

But compared to the sky-obscuring Dragon, he was still nothing more than an ant.

"I can only maintain this state for a few minutes. You must find the reverse scale during this time!"

The booming, thunderous voice echoed across the heavens and the earth. Hearing this, Jiang Xiaoyu gritted his teeth and dove back into a massive wave.

This time, Han Lie went straight to the Dragon, stopping it with a massive shield condensed from flesh and blood.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xiaoyu was like a swift fish, quickly using the churning water to search for a weak spot on the Dragon's body.

Piao Jun, who was scorched and somewhat dizzy on the ground, patted his ears and quickly returned to Chen Yuting's side.

While using recovery items, he asked uncertainly:

"What... what are they looking for? Qi... Qilin?"
