527: Enhanced perception

Wang Yan was silent for a second, then nodded and said:

"You noticed it too? I was just about to say something. It seems like he's not just a little bit stronger. Is it an illusion?"

In fact, their feeling wasn't wrong.

Gu Qinghan's Death Knight level was the same as his own, both being Level 61.

Without any other influences, their base combat power was less than 20,000, and the Bone Armor added another 8,000.

However, Gu Qinghan had previously obtained a growth-type skill:

Immortal Bones.

This skill allowed Gu Qinghan's bone creatures to grow stronger during battle. In other words, as long as they didn't die, they would become stronger after experiencing a fight!

After Gu Qinghan entered the secret realm, he himself had leveled up several times, which was enough to show how many monsters he had killed.

Although nothing valuable had dropped, the battles had genuinely taken place, and the effect of this tempering had been achieved.

Now, every surviving Death Knight, excluding the combat power gained from level-ups, had approximately 3,000 more combat power than before entering this place.

If a single Death Knight gained 3,000 combat power, it wouldn't be much.

But what if it was dozens, hundreds, or even several hundred?

The three hundred Death Knights Gu Qinghan currently had remaining were all reinforced this way.

Frankly speaking, the current Gu Qinghan could kill half of the former Cleric Alliance members just by relying on his Death Knights.

Of course, when facing a top-tier expert like Ivan, the effect of this surrounding attack was not overly exaggerated.

However, even if the effect wasn't obvious, there was still an effect.

The explosion in the field sent dust flying up from the ground, making the scene inside completely obscured.

Suddenly, a Death Knight was sent flying backward, landing more than ten meters away and rolling over a dozen times before finally stopping.

Then, one after another, the Death Knights were continuously struck out of the dust cloud like baseballs.

However, even more Death Knights charged forward, and the ones that had been knocked away quickly got back up and rejoined the fight.

It wasn't until the dust gradually dispersed that everyone saw Ivan, who was being besieged by the Death Knights.

At this moment, some of Ivan's armor was broken, and a little bit of blood was flowing from his body.

Looking closely, the scarlet color didn't seem to be entirely fresh blood; much of it came from his old scars.

The scars on his body suddenly turned red, like mysterious markings, bringing him endless power.

Gu Qinghan's eyes narrowed slightly; his opponent could also gain power from blood.

However, Ivan's source of power was likely continuous combat, not purely blood.

If he were given a puddle of blood on the ground, Ivan would likely be unable to gain power from it.

What he needed was blood burning with fighting spirit!

"Using blood to strengthen his body?"

Gu Qinghan squinted his eyes, stopping the methods he had originally intended to use.

Because he noticed that Ivan's aura was continuously rising at this moment.

He was like a leech constantly absorbing power during battle, steadily storing energy.

Clearly, he had discovered the strength of the Death Knights and planned to use them to accumulate power before delivering a heavy blow to Gu Qinghan.

But how could Gu Qinghan not see through his intentions?

"I remember that those blood races used the power of blood to restrain their enemies.

One of my sources of power is blood; I should be able to achieve this level too... No, I can do better!"

Gu Qinghan muttered, suddenly beginning to stare intently at the exposed blood on Ivan's body.

After leveling up to Level 60, Gu Qinghan had a feeling that his perception abilities had become much stronger.

Saying "perception ability" was a bit too broad; specifically, Gu Qinghan could sense more clearly whether someone had died nearby, changes in the enemy's strength, and the details of the battle.

This feeling was strange; it seemed to have suddenly descended upon Gu Qinghan the moment he broke through Level 60.

But Gu Qinghan did not reject this feeling at all; he even somewhat enjoyed it.

Because this allowed him to better control the flow of battle and, at the same time, better utilize his own power.

Moreover, when Gu Qinghan previously comprehended the Evil Curse Transfer, it was much easier than before.

He felt that he could even try creating his own skill!

This time, it would be power derived from blood!

The spectators were all stunned at this moment, as the battle unfolding before them was starting to become incomprehensible.

The field was clearly divided into two battle zones: one was the fight between the berserk wild boar and the Dragon Bear with tentacles.

These two beasts fought directly to the periphery of the defined battlefield, and it was only through the combined efforts of a group of Clerics that they were prevented from rushing out of everyone's sight.

A section of the wild boar's tusk was broken, and several visible dents appeared on its head, yet its overall aura became even more ferocious.

As for the gigantic black bear, three of the tentacles behind it were severed, and there was a penetrating wound on its shoulder.

What was strange, however, was that every time this beast was knocked down, it managed to grab the wild boar's tusk to pull itself back up.

It seemed that the immense force, enough to knock down a skyscraper, was nothing more than children playing to this black bear.

On the other side, the masters of these two terrifying creatures presented a completely different scene.

Death Knights continuously charged out, only to be knocked flying one by one, making it look as if Gu Qinghan was playing bowling with Ivan.

Based on Ivan's previous performance, he shouldn't have been tied down by these small fries, yet the fact was that he hadn't broken out.

But what was even stranger was Gu Qinghan; he was acting like a spectator, not launching his next attack, but instead staring fixedly in Ivan's direction.

"What are they doing?" Someone finally couldn't help but ask.

"I don't know. Maybe this is just how big shots fight." Another person replied.

Many people had similar doubts: What were these two doing?

Suddenly, a Cleric who had been watching the two giant beasts shouted out, his voice tinged with disbelief:

"Look quickly, hasn't that black bear gotten bigger?

Is it my imagination? Before, the wild boar could hit its chest, but now it can only reach its lower abdomen."

"Holy cow, I thought I was seeing things! I wanted to say that too!"

Someone immediately responded, drawing everyone's attention to that side.

They carefully compared the current black bear with their previous memory of it and realized it really did seem to be a size larger.

Was it some kind of skill?

The two giant beasts collided once more, but this time, the wild boar failed to force the Dragon Bear back.

Instead, this time, the Dragon Bear grabbed the wild boar's body and lifted it while standing on its hind legs.

The wild boar's tusk pierced its abdomen, but the Dragon Bear seemed completely oblivious at this moment.

Roaring furiously, it raised the wild boar high in its embrace, bent its legs, and leaped into the air.

Then, it slammed down hard!
