194: The Demon Cult's Attack

It wasn't until the Demon God Cult's fleet was not far from human territory that human instruments detected an anomaly.

"Warning, warning, unknown fleet approaching, all personnel please fully arm yourselves immediately." Humans had anticipated this, so there was no panic.

They just hadn't expected the Demon God Cult's infiltration to have reached such an extent; their stealth capabilities far surpassed those of humans.

"Hahaha, die!"

A group of demonized Demon God Cult warriors immediately sprang into action.

Countless floating cannons, drones, and mechs charged towards the human defense line.

Behind them, the muzzles of the Starships emitted beams of energy.

The human defense system activated, but it was on the verge of collapse in the face of a higher-level technological civilization.

Lin Ye shook his head. Humanity's foundation was still too weak. As expected, technological talents like Horton must be kept.

Horton had already chosen to stay to befriend Lin Ye. Lin Ye was not stingy; he hired Horton's entire team with a high salary and sent many talents to learn from their team.

He had originally wanted to train troops, but the gap was too large, making training unnecessary.

"Senior Sister, I'll have to trouble you again," Lin Ye said to his Senior Sister beside him.

"Mm." Barbara nodded, transforming into a silver rainbow and appearing on the battlefield.

The Demon God Cult members, seeing such a person appear on the battlefield, dared not underestimate her. Countless muzzles aimed at Barbara.

"Metal Control." Barbara's red lips parted slightly, and an invisible fluctuation caused the muzzles to change direction, aiming at their own people.

The Demon God Cult's high-ranking officials' expressions changed drastically, and they quickly canceled the attack. Although it was canceled in time, it still caused significant losses.

"Not good, it's the Silverwing Goddess Barbara! Damn it, why is she here protecting humans?" The high-ranking officials cursed loudly.

"But our preparations might not fear her. Let's attack together."

Five Stellar River Level Demon God Cult high-ranking officials flew into space to confront Barbara.

"Barbara, are you idle? Why come to such a small place like humanity?" The leader shouted.

"To send you to hell," Barbara said coldly.

Silver metallic liquid seeped from her skin, covering her body and forming a perfect battle armor. Two metallic orbs appeared behind her, finally blossoming into a pair of silver wings.

The five Demon God Cult members dared not be careless and used all their might.

They were not weak either, all of them at Star River Peak. The strongest one had mastered the laws, and the others had partially mastered them. Furthermore, after being strengthened by demonic power, they could all increase their existing level by one tier.

Behind Barbara, her wings spread, releasing billions of silver feather blades.

"Silverwing Storm."

Facing such a large-scale attack, the Demon God Cult fleet released energy shields, attempting to resist, while the five Stellar River Level demons also took action individually.

Lin Ye watched in shock as his Senior Sister single-handedly suppressed a group. He had thought his Senior Sister would do well to handle five opponents of the same level, but he hadn't expected her to still have the spare capacity to deal with the fleet.

The first to collapse were the drones, mechs, and floating cannons in space, all exploding and disintegrating.

And these collapsing metallic creations became Barbara's new power, transforming into new feather blades in the silver light.

"Quick, join forces! We can't hold them off!" A Stellar River Level Demon God Cult member shouted.

He was still at ease, but the fleet couldn't hold on. This was their foundation!

Barbara's suppression of metallic creations was too severe.

"Alright."

The five gathered together, unleashing all their power and summoning a thousand-meter-tall demon.

"Hell Demon God Statue."

Barbara's pupils constricted.

Her entire body glowed with silver light, and enveloped by countless silver liquids, she transformed into an eight-hundred-meter giant, holding a silver spear in her hand.

The demon wielded a giant axe, engaging Barbara in battle.

Each collision between the two, merely from the resulting shockwaves, would instantly kill countless onlookers.

The human side, even with the advantage of defense, suffered heavy losses, not to mention the Demon God Cult.

However, fortunately, Senior Sister Barbara had warned Lin Ye, so the human casualties were minimal, with only a few unlucky individuals caught in the crossfire and dying.

As for the loss of the defense system, it was irrelevant. Humanity was currently a nouveau riche, and this was a good opportunity to upgrade.

Lin Ye looked at the battlefield with longing, imagining his future glory.

On the surface, Barbara was at a disadvantage for a time, but relying on her incredibly hard armor, she managed to hold on.

The Hell Demon God Statue, however, grew weaker and weaker.

The feather blades Barbara had unleashed, after dealing with most of the fleet, returned one by one. With each return, her momentum would increase slightly.

When the fleet was completely dealt with, Barbara's momentum had already increased to the point of overwhelming the Hell Demon God Statue.

The five demons became ruthless, knowing that hesitation would lead to defeat, and all burned their vital essence.

After burning, the Hell Demon God Statue transformed into a two-thousand-meter giant, wielding a giant axe, killing anyone in its path.

Barbara was sent flying multiple times, with several deep, bone-visible wounds appearing on her body, but the giant axe was helpless against Barbara's bones.

The Food Gold Clan's strongest aspect was their bones; almost no attack could damage their bones.

As Barbara's wounds increased, the Hell Demon God Statue's momentum also grew weaker and weaker, even gradually shrinking.

Two thousand meters, one thousand nine hundred meters, one thousand eight hundred meters, one thousand seven hundred meters...

When the Demon God Statue returned to one thousand meters, the tables had turned.

Barbara, unaffected by her wounds, wielded her long spear, piercing numerous holes in the Demon God Statue.

The five Demon God Cult demons roared in indignation, but they were powerless to change their fate.

Ultimately, the Demon God Statue collapsed, and the bodies of the five Stellar River Level individuals exploded into blood mist, a result of the backlash.

Ignoring their wounds, the five used all their might, scattering and fleeing.

"Trying to escape?" Barbara's cold words were like those of a grim reaper.

Five long spears materialized, shooting towards the five. The five tried to dodge, but the spears had already locked onto them, and they were ultimately struck one by one, exploding into blood mist.

Barbara returned to her one-meter-seven form. At this point, her consumption was also significant; her face was noticeably much paler, and she had many wounds on her body.

Barbara waved her hands, taking the spoils of the five, which were five storage devices.

"Thank you, Senior Sister, for slaying the five demons. Senior Sister is truly wise, mighty, and domineering!" Lin Ye came to his Senior Sister's side, flattering her profusely.

Barbara rolled her eyes. Why was this Junior Brother so shameless, with words of praise just spilling out?

Lin Ye was originally the quiet type, but after being in a high position for a long time, it was inevitable that he would pick up some officialdom habits.

His subordinates often said such words to him.

"Now you can clean up the battlefield yourselves. I need to go heal."

"Alright, Senior Sister! The best healing medicine has already been prepared for you."

Lin Ye had prepared in advance, exchanging a lot of Life Water with Alice, and it was the most precious kind, greatly beneficial even to Stellar River Level individuals.

"Mm." Barbara nodded, then left to return to her residence.

Lin Ye began to arrange for people to clean up the battlefield, as there were still some stragglers that Barbara had not killed.
