225: Warrior from Andromeda

When Lin Ye woke up, it was already late.

Three days had passed since he fell unconscious.

Upon waking, a fierce sense of hunger immediately washed over him.

His physical body had long been energy-based, so he naturally didn't need food; this hunger meant his body's energy was depleted.

This was incredibly surprising for him, given his Muscle Master.

Lin Ye pulled out several energy potions from his spatial storage, replenishing his depleted energy.

After drinking over fifty vials, his physical body finally became saturated again.

With the energy depletion alleviated, Lin Ye began to survey his surroundings.

This area was dim, no more than a thousand meters in size, with a white light membrane separating it from the river water.

The ground was empty, and the black mud emitted an unpleasant odor.

The only thing worth noting was the withered plant in the central area.

Lin Ye used Destiny Law to calculate his prospects, but the future was uncertain.

His main body had already informed him that there was zero information about this area.

But as a clone, what did he have to fear?

Lin Ye bravely approached the withered plant.

This plant was only about a meter tall, shaped like a chili pepper plant, with only dry branches remaining.

Gradually, Lin Ye noticed something was off; how was this thing growing in a rock?

Lin Ye began to dig.

"This is?" Lin Ye was surprised to discover that there was a stone tablet underneath.

After fully excavating it, a three-meter-tall stone tablet appeared before Lin Ye.

The stone tablet was inscribed with characters Lin Ye didn't recognize.

"Main body, main body, quickly check what these characters are," Lin Ye's clone began to call for external assistance.

The main body logged into the virtual world and began translating the text.

These were not characters from the Milky Way civilization, but from an extraterrestrial race.

When translated, it read: Hello, latecomer, I am Capricornus Duo from the Andromeda G548376 galaxy. In our civilization, we pursued the combination of psionic energy and the physical body, aiming for the supreme peak of physical power. When facing the threshold of becoming a dominator, I chose to journey through the universe, exploring the star realms to find my own path.

After five hundred thousand years of arduous cultivation, I felt that my physical body and Soul had been honed to their limits, but that most crucial step was missing.

I found this place, this region called the Underworld. Its mechanism for giving birth to undead aroused my curiosity. I began to search for the reason and finally found it: this River of Death, whose source is unknown. The Underworld Power of the River of Death is a highly corrosive poison to the physical body and a Meng Po Soup that erases memories and True Spirit for the Soul. But it was this very characteristic that made me feel the opportunity for the fusion of Soul and physical body.

I used countless methods to uncover its secret, but still failed. Immense pain enveloped me, and with only ten thousand years of life remaining, I had no time left. I took the most daring measure.

I jumped into the River of Death, feeling the corrosive power. As my physical body and True Spirit eroded, I felt Death, but at that moment, I enlightened.

I succeeded; I comprehended the method of combining Soul and physical body, but I also failed; my shattered physical body was no longer sufficient to support my breakthrough.

Latecomer, I hope the legacy I left behind will not be buried.

Below, the method for acquiring the legacy is also preserved.

Lin Ye knew he was a Child of Destiny.

However, if the River of Death could erase True Spirit, why didn't he feel anything?

Lin Ye clearly remembered that when he jumped down, he didn't feel his True Spirit being erased.

Was it because he was a clone?

Or perhaps for other reasons?

Lin Ye thought it might be related to the characteristic of the Undying Soul: Indestructible and Unextinguished.

So, he began to follow the process to inherit the legacy.

A few minutes later, the stone tablet began to emit golden light, shining into Lin Ye's mind.

Indestructible and Unextinguished.

Lin Ye marveled at the arrogance of this legacy. Who dared to speak of Undying, who dared to say Unextinguishable?

The knowledge contained in the legacy was vast, almost entirely recording Capricornus Duo's understanding of Indestructible and Unextinguished.

With this immense knowledge, and by referencing his own situation, it would be easy to create an Indestructible and Unextinguished suitable for himself.

"It is said that this race resembles trees. Could that black withered plant be the remains of this senior?" Lin Ye's main body flipped through the data and said to his clone.

What the heck? Lin Ye's clone was bewildered.

A race that looked like trees was already quite strange, but to also cultivate the physical body?

That was even stranger.

Out of respect for the senior, Lin Ye decided to take the senior out and properly enshrine him, preferably sending him back to his home planet, for a return to roots.

The small withered tree was rooted in the stone tablet, but it wasn't difficult to remove. Lin Ye only used a little effort to dig out the senior's remains.

Senior, since your race loves to take root so much, how did you travel the universe?

Lin Ye teleported the senior's remains to his main body. The senior was indeed a senior; even a corpse consumed so much energy.

After recovering for a while, Lin Ye began to look for an opportunity to leave.

But first, he had to cast a divination to see if that unlucky Lich King had left.

The Lich King waited for a while and then left.

After all, in his perception, how could there be living things in the River of Death, much less dead things (undead)? Only trash.

So, unable to find Lin Ye's corpse, he chose to leave.

After all, not everyone's bones float to the surface, right? Some races naturally have hard and heavy bones, so they inevitably sink to the bottom.

Their skeleton bones were hollow, so they easily floated.

After coming to terms with himself, the Lich King rode his small bone dragon and slowly returned.

Seeing that the divination was good, Lin Ye decided to leave.

He didn't plan to take the tablet. Taking everything would be too unsightly. Leaving it for future fated individuals was the right path.

Going up was much simpler than going down. The river water only corroded Lin Ye's subcutaneous tissue before he swam to the shore.

This thing could corrode anything, so it was impossible to use flying power.

Lin Ye found a good burial spot, buried himself, and rested to recover his state.

He was now fixated on that damned Lich King and was determined to get good revenge.

But haste makes waste; he needed to plan carefully.

...

On Lin Ye's main body side, after receiving the senior's remains, Lin Ye found a good coffin for the senior to lie in.

Hmm, but why did it look a bit like a ginseng packaging box?

The more Lin Ye looked, the stranger it seemed, so he simply stopped thinking about it.

Regarding Indestructible and Unextinguished, his preliminary research revealed that it was not something he could currently delve into, but he could now begin cultivating its physical body and psionic energy chapters in advance.

The physical body chapter needed no further explanation, and psionic energy, simply put, was mental power.

Indestructible and Unextinguished was not a cultivation method, nor was it a skill, but a secret technique that lay between the two.

This type of skill had a tempering effect on one's origin but could also function as a skill, making it a very rare type.

It seemed that in the senior's race, there was no clear distinction between cultivation methods and skills; it was both cultivation and skill training.
