214: Orcs Attack
“Good, since Teacher can deal with Ireland, the rest will be left to us. Let these barbarians experience the shock of Rune technology.” As a military fanatic, Rui Jin, who had developed Rune technology nationwide, was the only one who truly understood how terrifying the Three-Race Alliance's military power was now.
“Yes, that’s right.”
“The Orc Empire is still using traditional armor, but we’ve entered a new era.”
“Sir, times have changed.”
The power of Rune technology was like a shot in the arm, greatly encouraging everyone and easing the previously oppressive atmosphere.
Lin Ye breathed a sigh of relief. He seemed to have underestimated the power of the Rune technology developed by the Three-Race Alliance over a thousand years. The Orc Empire? Still in the feudal era. This was a dimensional reduction strike.
However, the Orc Empire's power should not be underestimated, as there were too many strong individuals. It all depended on the performance in the upcoming War.
The Three-Race Alliance's War machine began to activate, and under the transport of Rune trains, crates of War supplies were transported to the front lines.
Laser rifles, anti-matter shields, flamethrowers, Rune Armor, drones, Rune Cannons, alchemical bombs, landmines, and more.
These crates of supplies gave the Three-Race Alliance full confidence.
Not only supplies, but a continuous stream of soldiers were transported to the front lines by Rune trains: Dwarf Race warriors, Elf Race archers, snipers, and human warriors. They held laser rifles or Rune War hammers, their eyes resolute and fearless.
The defensive factories on the front lines were also continuously improved with the help of Dwarf Race masters. High-energy laser weapons, drone defense systems, and other equipment were constantly installed on the city walls.
The Orc Empire's army was not very familiar with this, thinking it was just some magical equipment.
Their army arrived outside the defensive line. The pressure created by tens of millions of Orc Empire soldiers was immense, and even when spread across several defensive lines, it still put considerable pressure on the Three-Race Alliance.
Both sides stood ready.
The sky was covered with dark clouds, as if foreshadowing the coming storm. The ground trembled, and deafening War drums echoed through the valleys, shaking the heart of every warrior.
The Orc Empire's army surged forward like a tide. Their roars were soul-stirring, their iron hooves trampled the ground, dust flew everywhere, and their overwhelming momentum crushed everything.
The combined forces of humans, Elf Race, and Dwarf Race stood ready, their eyes firm, clad in Rune Armor, their weapons gripped tightly, prepared to meet the coming impact.
With a sharp horn blast, the Orc Empire's vanguard launched the first charge. They wielded massive battle axes and hammers, rushing towards the allied defense line. However, the allied warriors were not intimidated. They met the Orc Empire's charge, fighting back fiercely.
Various weapons on the city walls spewed attacks like enraged dragons, clearing out wave after wave of the Orc Empire.
Archers took their positions, their laser rifles turning individual Orc Empire soldiers into dust.
The melee units of the Dwarf Race and humans moved forward, blocking the experts who broke through the layers of defense.
For a time, the battlefield was a blur of blades and clashing steel. Although the Orc Empire’s power was formidable, the allied warriors, relying on their superior equipment and the dimensional reduction strike of their era, repelled them again and again.
The Elf Race archers stood on high ground. Their lasers and projectiles streaked across the sky like meteors, accurately hitting the Orc Empire’s vital points. The Dwarf Race warriors, meanwhile, wielded Rune great axes and War hammers, engaging in close combat with the Orc Empire. Their roars and the clang of metal intertwined, forming a magnificent symphony.
The allied forces suffered very few casualties. With the support of artillery and lasers, very few of the Orc Empire could survive the hail of bullets.
The Orc Empire’s first wave of attack was quickly repelled.
“What is this? Why have I never seen it before?” The Orc Empire’s marshal was Mu Dan, a brave warrior of the Wolf Clan.
Mu Dan had campaigned for many years, but he had never seen such weapons. For a moment, he was somewhat stunned by the defeat.
“Tell me, don’t tell me the Empire’s intelligence department is useless.” Mu Dan was furious.
But the generals below dared not speak. It was too tragic; the first wave of attack had been almost completely crushed.
“Marshal, you can’t blame the intelligence department. Which department in the Empire has ever paid attention to the Three-Race Alliance in the south?” one general explained.
Seeing someone take the lead, the other generals quickly agreed.
“Yes, Marshal, they are so weak, not even comparable to the strength of one of our provinces. We’ve never paid attention to them.”
“Indeed, and the high-end strength of those people seems to be the same as before. We actually just need to send experts for a decapitation strike.”
“That’s right, Marshal, although their weapons are useful at lower levels, they are not very effective against higher-level opponents.”
Under the generals' explanations, Mu Dan's anger subsided. In the end, he had just been stunned by the defeat, but the losses were actually not that great.
“Since our army’s strength is not enough, we will send our experts.”
At Mu Dan’s command, true elite units began to deploy.
This was a Galaxy Level unit of a thousand strong, a considerable force even for the Orc Empire, known as the Royal Knights.
At this moment, they wore the finest weapons, ready to break through the human defense line.
On the Three-Race Alliance side, seeing the enemy deploy their ultimate force, they were not to be outdone and brought out their trump card.
“Let them see the power of the Star Destroyer Cannon.” Rui Jin was particularly excited; he had personally guided its manufacture.
Lin Ye was also curious about its power.
The Star Destroyer Cannon, if a Star Domain Level was hit, it would inevitably turn to dust. Only a Stellar River Level could withstand it.
As for its drawbacks, they were also very obvious: anyone who knew about this thing would not be hit by it, as it was too cumbersome.
This weapon was more often used to strike fixed units, just as its name implied, to completely destroy a planet.
The Star Destroyer Cannon, hundreds of meters in diameter and over a thousand meters long, was laboriously transported to the city wall by machinery.
The soldiers of the Orc Empire felt a chill down their spines when they saw the dark muzzle, but they thought they were just scaring themselves and didn't take it seriously.
The Royal Knights, led by their commander, a Star Domain Level peak Bearman general, began to charge. Thousands of Galaxy Level flying together was a magnificent sight.
When they reached the weapon's range, various long-range weapons began to fire, engulfing them in a hail of bullets.
This was not the same as the weapons used against the Orc Empire soldiers earlier, but weapons capable of dealing with Star Level and above.
Under concentrated fire, the Royal Knights suffered significant losses, but after paying some price, they still rushed to the front of the shield.
The Bearman general instantly enlarged, transforming into a thirty-meter-tall giant bear. With one palm strike, the shield rippled.
“Come on, you cowards, come out and fight me.” The Bearman general furiously attacked the shield.
The hail of bullets felt like mere tickles to him.
The high-ranking officials of the Three-Race Alliance burst into laughter upon hearing this, because he dared to speak so wildly while standing directly in front of the Star Destroyer Cannon’s muzzle.
