328: Enter the Destiny Legacy

The War God Race Dominator looked over; it was a black-robed Great Wizard.

"Friend, I am on a mission. Any losses incurred by your esteemed clan will be compensated at market value," the War God Race Dominator said, not being stubborn or trying to argue, because he sensed the formidable power of the one opposite him.

Before executing the mission, he had naturally investigated the areas connected to the Lyra Galaxy. Although he didn't know much, the information stored in his brain told him that this race was very powerful, with their strongest reaching Master Seven-star.

"Hmph, compensation?" The black-robed Great Wizard's tone was filled with anger.

But the War God Race Dominator saw that he hadn't made a move, knowing that everything was negotiable.

Great Wizards valued equivalent exchange and benefits.

Helping Lin Ye was an investment, potentially profitable.

Not offending the War God Clan was also unprofitable and not worth it.

Now that the resource point was destroyed, the other party should have been severely punished, but if they could compensate? Then it was open for discussion.

"How about ten void stones?" the War God Race Dominator asked.

"Not enough," the black-robed Great Wizard said coldly, black magic power surging, as if he was about to make a move.

"Twelve pieces, no more. void stones are top-grade items that can repair a Divine Kingdom. How could they be inferior to that one crystal mine? Even if some ordinary people were killed, it would be more than enough."

The War God Race Dominator was indignant.

That one crystal mine, even if valuable, was at most three void stones. Ordinary people were even less valuable, just a group of laborers. Including management, two or three void stones would be enough to dismiss them.

"Items have a price, but Life is priceless. To act against my Badak Family, you should have endured my clan's wrath. Using void stones to offset lives is already letting you off easy. How dare you haggle?" the black-robed Great Wizard said.

"Fifteen pieces, no more. Otherwise, we'll fight to the death." The War God Race Dominator took out a void stone, making a gesture as if to absorb it, seemingly ready to tear off all pretense and engage in a great battle.

Although void stones were called stones, they were actually crystals of immortal divine power, precious items formed by the condensed divine power of Master-level experts.

The formation of void stones had nothing to do with combat power, but with realm. An expert who had just entered the Master realm would need to go without food or drink for ten thousand years to condense one.

"Deal." The black-robed Great Wizard knew he had reached the other party's bottom line and no longer pressed the issue.

They originally had no intention of offending the War God Clan.

Otherwise, when Lin Ye offered a Six-star Master's goodwill as a condition, they should have acted to protect him.

A Six-star Master's goodwill was worth more than dozens or hundreds of void stones.

Seeing this, the War God Race Dominator threw fifteen void stones to the black-robed Great Wizard.

The black-robed Great Wizard accepted them and immediately left.

"Hmph, how unlucky. But it's also good; these Great Wizards, although a bit greedy, are quite trustworthy."

The War God Race Dominator felt a pang of heartache; those were fifteen void stones, nearly half the income from this mission.

"I don't know how long this Inheritance Ground will take. It's best to finish before the other party's reinforcements arrive." The War God Race Dominator sent out a clone to gather information.

Although that Great Wizard surely knew, he was too greedy, and the War God Race Dominator wouldn't make it easy for him.

.........

After Lin Ye entered the Inheritance Ground, he could no longer sense the outside situation.

This was a palace. The first thing that caught his eye was a massive Wheel of Destiny, suspended in the center, shimmering with mysterious light. The wheel was covered in ancient runes and symbols, seemingly narrating the impermanence and elusiveness of Destiny.

The walls of the palace were inlaid with countless crystals, which sparkled with brilliant light, illuminating the entire space. These crystals seemed to contain endless wisdom and power, inspiring awe in anyone who beheld them.

In the depths of the palace, there was a mysterious altar, on which an ancient book was enshrined. This was the secret manual for inheriting the Destiny Law. The book's cover was adorned with jewels, exuding a powerful aura. Several circles of stone pillars surrounded it, carved with various mysterious patterns and texts, seemingly guarding this secret manual.

A serene and mysterious atmosphere permeated the palace, making one feel the solemnity and greatness of Destiny.

Above the grand hall, a handsome youth with profound eyes floated.

"Young man, hello. I am the guardian spirit of the Inheritance Ground, Lake," the youth slowly spoke.

"Hello, Guardian Spirit. My name is Lin Ye."

Lin Ye cupped his fists.

"Truly a gifted individual! To have achieved such remarkable accomplishments at such a young age, perhaps you truly have the potential to obtain that Inheritance!"

The Guardian Spirit scrutinized Lin Ye with curious and discerning eyes, seemingly wanting to see more potential and possibilities in this young man.

Upon hearing this, a hint of anticipation flickered in Lin Ye's eyes, and then he asked without hesitation, "Then, may I ask, how can I obtain this Inheritance?"

The Guardian Spirit smiled slightly, seemingly appreciating Lin Ye's straightforwardness, then it calmly replied, "If you wish to obtain the Inheritance, you must accept the trial left here by the Great Wizard of Fate."

At this point, the Guardian Spirit paused briefly before continuing, "And there is only one trial..."

"Only one?" Lin Ye was slightly surprised.

"This one trial is to comprehend the preliminary Inheritance of the Great Wizard of Fate within a hundred years," the Guardian Spirit said.

"That simple?" Lin Ye blurted out subconsciously.

The so-called preliminary Inheritance was nothing more than completing the prerequisite skills for Master-level abilities, similar to Indestructible and Unextinguished, after gaining sufficient knowledge.

This was very difficult for others, but for Lin Ye, it couldn't be simpler.

However, his hanging heart also settled. A hundred years, if he dragged it out, this pursuit would probably be over.

Even if the God Race reacted slowly, a hundred years would be enough time for them to respond.

"Simple??? Do you know that this is already the result of the Great Wizard lowering his requirements? Yet, even so, very few have managed to comprehend it." The Guardian Spirit shook his head slightly, thinking Lin Ye underestimated the difficulty of the Destiny Inheritance.

He had been here for countless eons, and the number of inheritors who came was like fish crossing a river, innumerable, but not a single one had truly obtained the Inheritance.

Guardian Spirit Lake had seen too many boastful individuals and merely thought Lin Ye was one of them. He sighed inwardly, having initially thought he was a good prospect when he saw him being pursued by a Master Four-star, but he didn't expect him to be so arrogant.

Lin Ye, however, didn't offer much explanation. For him, it truly was very simple. Without any Inheritance, relying solely on his own comprehension, he could create a skill at the peak level below Master within a hundred years.

But he didn't explain much. Facts speak louder than words; once the result was out, all doubts would turn into praise.

"Follow me."

The Guardian Spirit waved his hand, and the power of the great hall was mobilized. The book in the center of the hall absorbed Lin Ye into it.

In the vast hall, only the Guardian Spirit remained once more, his solitary figure appearing exceptionally lonely.

"Endless years, when will it ever end?"
