376: Abyss Riot

"But what's the point of advancing if we don't challenge the top three? We'd still be on the Fourth Layer," Andusias said, frowning.

"That's true. If it's for an illusory ranking, Amon wouldn't bother with a challenge. He's after resources. The resources of the Second Layer are all in Agares's hands. Once he takes over, those resources will be enough to help Amon improve significantly," Osai echoed.

The two demons chatted while observing the situation in the Abyss.

Among all the demon gods, they had the best relationship.

Those with common aspirations can become friends, and those who share hardships can also become friends.

And the two of them were the latter.

Unconsciously, several years passed. The concentration of demonic energy had increased significantly, and the demon gods all stopped their movements, sensing the intensity of this Abyss.

The intensity of each Abyss riot was different.

If the intensity was moderate, with less demonic energy overflowing and fewer passages, then the cost of invasion would be high.

Transporting troops would be difficult, and there would be less demonic energy for supplies once they arrived.

In such a situation, the demon gods would consciously reduce the intensity of the invasion.

"The intensity this time is not bad."

"According to our estimates, we can send six to several demon gods. Who will go this time?"

Each time the Abyss opened, the demon gods would not go all out because the demonic energy in the Abyss was insufficient to support it.

So they would rotate.

"It's my and Osai's turn," Andusias reminded him.

"Me too."

"I haven't been in fifty thousand years. I'll go this time too."

.......

The demon gods discussed.

There were no disputes, as everything had been signed in a Contract.

After so many years, the rules had long been established.

Suddenly, an extremely dense surge of demonic energy, like surging tides, rose up, instantly filling the entire Ninth Layer, causing the demonic energy concentration here to skyrocket, increasing by several levels.

"How could it increase so much all at once?" a demon god asked in astonishment.

Another demon god interjected, "Abyss anomaly! Something big must have happened."

"This is amazing! It seems we can have a good feast this time," the third demon god said excitedly.

Just as these demon gods were excited about the Abyss anomaly, their attention was suddenly drawn to the scene in the sky.

"What is this?" someone asked in surprise.

A pitch-black demon god pillar slowly rose, as if emerging from the depths of hell.

Below the demon god pillar, a mysterious figure appeared—a being with a wolf's body and a snake's tail.

"Amon?" some demon gods exclaimed in surprise.

"Amon actually came to the Ninth Layer?" "Why isn't he recuperating properly on the Eighth Layer? As far as I know, he was seriously injured in his battle with Agares."

However, although the many demon gods were full of doubts, they did not dare to easily ask questions.

After all, Amon was not to be trifled with; he was not a benevolent sort.

Several demon god pillars simultaneously rose into the sky, emitting a powerful and mysterious aura. One of the demon god pillars released a strange fluctuation, spreading out like invisible ripples. This fluctuation possessed a peculiar power, causing all the demon gods to instantly vanish from their original spots, as if merging into the void, completely undetectable.

"Demon Lord Amon!"

"Revered One, what brings you here?"

"Revered One, please command us if there is anything you need; we will cooperate fully!"

The demon gods spoke one after another, their tones respectful and fawning.

Among the demon gods, there was a clear power gap. Although the later demon gods were similar in strength, breaking through to the Demon Lord realm was an insurmountable hurdle. Once this hurdle was crossed, one could open up a huge gap with other demon gods, and their status would be vastly different.

"Hmm."

Amon's voice was cold and arrogant. He seemed not to care about the attitudes of the other demon gods. After sweeping his gaze over everyone, he said, "This Abyss riot, I have paid a considerable price to increase its scale and intensity. Now, I need you to cooperate with me to complete a task—a thorough plundering of the Star Realm! Of course, there is also..."

Hearing this, the demon gods couldn't help but look at each other. Amon actually coveted the resources of the Star Realm? No wonder this Abyss riot suddenly increased by several levels!

"It wouldn't be for breakthrough resources, would it?"

"That's right, Amon lacks resources too much. He's too arrogant, worships strength above all else, and hasn't cultivated any forces."

Without forces, no matter how large the territory, development is limited, and the speed of resource collection is too slow.

The demon gods were discussing, while the demons outside were already going crazy with joy.

"The intensity of the Abyss has increased so much? This is destined to be a feast."

"War! Awesome."

"Guess what I saw? demon god pillars, many demon god pillars."

"I saw them too, and there's even the Seventh Demon God."

Amon's arrival caused a huge stir.

He never bothered with concealment, preferring to be direct and overwhelm others with his power.

.........

Heavenly Realm.

The architecture here was grand and magnificent, shining with golden light.

Angels flew in the sky, and people who were fortunate enough to ascend to the Heavenly Realm walked on the ground.

Heaven was a place full of light and warmth, bringing endless tranquility and peace.

But at this moment, the Heavenly Realm Judgment Group was extremely busy.

"What is hell going crazy about? The intensity of this Abyss riot is too abnormal."

"It's not theological, Abyss riots are like tides, cyclical, but this surge is too abnormal."

"A demon is instigating War."

The angels were very indignant.

With this commotion, the creatures of the Star Realm would likely be plundered of most of their possessions.

Except for powerful existences like the Wizard Continent that could remain safe and sound, other forces would probably be destroyed, only to await the next restart.

For these beings who relied on the faith of creatures to survive, this was absolutely intolerable.

"Chief Judge, it has been investigated clearly. It is the Seventh Demon God, Amon," a black-robed person said respectfully.

"Oh? Amon just finished his challenge against Agares and was seriously injured. Does he still have the ability to start a War?" the Chief Judge asked in confusion.

They were most knowledgeable about the enemy's situation, so they were very perplexed by Amon's initiation of War at this time.

"Amon appeared on the Seventh Layer of hell, and many demons personally witnessed his appearance, including our spies. Based on our deductions, only he possesses such an ability," another black-robed person explained.

"In any case, defensive work must be done well. If civilization is destroyed, the consequences will be unimaginable," the Chief Judge warned sternly.

Planar restarts take a long time, and even introducing new forces requires a considerable amount of time.

This was not in the best interest of the Heavenly Realm.

The Heavenly Realm needed faith, a lot of faith, and could not let the demons succeed.
