377: Advent

The passage, sealed for ten thousand years, reopened, and hellish magic surged out like a plague, rapidly spreading to the surroundings.

Inside the passage, it was pitch black, impossible to see one's hand in front of their face, but countless flames could vaguely be seen leaping within, as if the entire space had been ignited.

Amidst the flames, countless figures of Demons could be faintly seen twisting, their forms varied; some had wings, while others had sharp fangs, making them horrifying.

These Demons let out low roars, their voices echoing within the passage, like the roar from the abyss, causing an involuntary shiver of fear.

As time passed, more and more Demons poured out of the passage, bringing with them endless resentment and hatred, staining this once-peaceful Star Realm black.

This was the restart of the ten-thousand-year Demon Invasion, but this time, the scale was larger than any previous one, and the Demons' power was even stronger.

"This is bad, quickly go report to His Majesty."

"Clan Leader, the intensity of this Demon Invasion is too great; we must prepare a fallback plan."

"Run! Go to the universe! The Star Realm cannot be stayed in for long."

Throughout the Star Realm, those with foresight had already begun to prepare for the worst, and even the common people could tell from the turbulent market that this time seemed different.

Miracles began to appear.

In a chaotic darkness, sacred light suddenly shone. Bright pillars of light descended from the sky, like countless meteors streaking across the heavens, illuminating the entire world. These light pillars seemed like guidance from paradise, bringing hope and courage to the people.

A mysterious passage was opened, filled with strong energy fluctuations, as if it were an entrance to another world. Along with the appearance of the light, Angels radiating holy brilliance slowly descended. Their figures were dreamlike and illusory, full of mystery.

The Angels wore magnificent white robes, their sleeves fluttering in the wind, like dancing fairies. Their wings spread, shimmering with brilliant light, dispelling the surrounding darkness. Every feather exuded an intoxicating aura, inspiring awe.

With the descent of the Angels, the entire world became peaceful and harmonious. Their presence made people feel an inexplicable warmth and security.

The demonic energy was powerless against the sacred power, forced to dissipate, and darkness was dispelled by light.

However, demonic energy was not so easily dispelled; the power of the abyss contended with the power of the Celestial Realm.

But the power of the Celestial Realm was clearly inferior to that of the abyss, only able to form light shields to protect key points.

"Melissa, why does the Divine Venerable still not take this seriously? Is the intensity of the abyss not obvious enough?" Angel God Lucy said to Melissa beside her in the Celestial Realm's Judgment Hall, expressing her dissatisfaction.

Lucy, of Angel Clan origin, condensed the Angel Law, commanding all Angels, and was a well-deserved Angel God.

"Lucy, the Divine King has many things to consider; we only need to execute," Melissa said.

She was gentle and beautiful, seemingly embodying all the beautiful things in the world.

The Goddess of Beauty, Melissa, was truly the Celestial Realm's most beautiful woman.

Because of her extraordinary charm, the Divine Venerable sent her to soothe the emotions of the participating gods in this battle.

And Angel God Lucy was the most dissatisfied.

Each Angel sent out meant a loss of the Angel Clan's power.

"The Angel Clan as the main force? How are we supposed to deal with Demon Gods? The Divine King is not even willing to send some Faith Gods to assist." At this point, Lucy grew even more indignant.

Angels, after all, were consumables mass-produced in the Reincarnation Pool; the Divine King simply didn't care how many Angels were consumed.

"Watch your words," Melissa subtly used her law.

Under the influence of the law, Lucy's heart involuntarily calmed down a bit, and she realized her slip of the tongue.

"Regardless, I hope the Divine King takes this seriously and doesn't let the Angel Clan be consumed too much," Lucy said.

As she controlled the Angel Law, each Angel was her foundation.

Especially the fanatics among them.

Many became her subordinate gods.

"I will convey your thoughts to the Divine King."

........

Melissa moved around, soothing the pressure on the participating gods, truly a well-deserved social butterfly.

"The True God faction is too difficult to appease. They have enjoyed peace for too long and are unwilling to participate in the war, hoping their subordinate gods can take their place. But what strong subordinate gods are there?"

Melissa rubbed her forehead.

True Gods are deities who cultivate their own authority and wield unique divine power; they are True Gods.

And those who cleverly become Faith Gods by borrowing their authority are their subordinate gods.

Subordinate gods are not strong, but they can act as the middle layer to contend with ordinary Demon Gods.

Only True Gods can deal with top-tier Demon Gods, and as for the Seventy-Two Demon Gods, only the best among True Gods can match them.

But the True Gods' willingness to fight was not strong.

"Having Angels do things for them, having subordinate gods earn faith for them, and when a crisis arises, sending Angels and subordinate gods to the front lines—this is the usual practice of True Gods. It's fine for ordinary Demon Invasions, but they still want to do this during this abyss uprising?"

Melissa shook her head, finding the True Gods too ridiculous.

Having been pampered for too long, they had lost their ambition.

Perhaps she herself wasn't qualified to criticize them, after all, she, Melissa, did the same.

"I originally thought this was a good assignment, where I could earn merit without going to the front lines, but I didn't expect it to be so difficult."

Previously, another deity was responsible for mobilization; she, the Goddess of Beauty Melissa, was more responsible for banquets.

But that deity had disappeared this time, and she had no choice but to take on the task.

"I wonder where Metis went?"

.........

Due to the True Gods' passive inaction, the situation in the Star Realm was not optimistic. Although the Demon Invasion had not officially begun, the demonic energy erupting from the abyss had already rapidly occupied most areas. In this land shrouded in darkness, holy light appeared so fragile, as if it could shatter with a light touch.

"The commotion of this Demon Invasion is so immense that even Angels have descended." Lin Ye, while in seclusion for cultivation, still closely monitored external news.

"Troublesome. It seems this Demon Invasion is determined to succeed. I must instruct Blue Star to quickly contract its defenses and prepare for evacuation from the Star Realm, if possible." Lin Ye deeply understood the resolve and scale of this Demon Invasion; the Star Realm would likely face a massive catastrophe.

Blue Star must evacuate as soon as possible. During the last Demon Invasion, if Yang Hongyu had not stepped forward, it would have likely fallen already. And this time, the scale of the Demon Invasion far exceeded the last, and even if he became a Dominator, he would find it difficult to protect such a vast territory.

After all, almost the entire Yi Lan Continent is now Blue Star's territory, making defense extremely difficult.

Therefore, hunkering down is essential; hesitation will only lead to trouble.
