278: News about the inheritance of the Law of Destiny

With the Elf Queen in charge, Lin Ye no longer worried.

To be honest, if he hadn't been an important official, he wouldn't have wanted to get involved in the conflict between two long-established Gods.

The Snake-Human Clan being affected by the war was not good news for him.

“The Snake-Human Clan’s destiny should have changed by now,” Lin Ye mused to himself.

He went to find the minister who had come to reinforce the Snake-Human Clan, and after a careful divination, he was pleasantly surprised to discover that the misfortune shrouding the Snake-Human Clan seemed to have truly dissipated without a trace.

However, this was merely a general trend; from the Hexagram, it seemed there would still be some twists and turns and hardships from the Elf Race during this period.

Lin Ye helplessly spread his hands, thinking that whether things went smoothly or had many twists and turns, it no longer had much to do with him, as long as the Snake-Human Clan could remain safe and sound, that was enough.

Originally, he had planned to leave this contentious place as soon as possible, but considering that two Gods had personally intervened this time, his strong curiosity deep down drove him to stay and see what would happen, and to enjoy the show.

He had only seen glimpses of the Faith God's methods from the knowledge he obtained in the Wizard World.

Since he had nothing to do, he started finding people and returned to his old profession—fortune-telling.

“First fate, second luck, third feng shui, fourth accumulated hidden virtues, fifth reading; destiny comes first, one must believe it.”

“Is that so? Thank you, sir.”

“You have no love line, hey, hey, hey, don’t hit me, I’m not deliberately looking for trouble, if it’s not there, it’s not there.”

“What? Don’t believe it? If you believe, it exists; if you don’t, it’s still there.”

.......

Well, it wasn't going smoothly; the Elf Race was not as enthusiastic and bold as the Snake-Human Clan, and Lin Ye’s unconventional methods required a lot of physical contact, which conservative elves found hard to accept.

However, relying on his eloquent tongue and his status as a VIP, he still made considerable gains.

In his calculations, some elves would die in this incident, while others would rise to prominence.

His actions also attracted Aurora’s attention.

“You cultivated the Destiny Law?” Aurora suddenly appeared beside Lin Ye, startling him; this Goddess was elusive.

“Yes, Lady Aurora,” Lin Ye nodded.

“How rare. I’ve been to countless planes, but I’ve rarely seen anyone who can cultivate the Destiny Law,” Aurora examined Lin Ye as if he were a rare treasure.

“It was just a stroke of luck, an unconventional path,” Lin Ye said softly, a bitter smile on his lips. He knew that the only Destiny Law inheritance he possessed was merely a Star Domain Level inheritance he had accidentally found in the Galaxy Lord’s treasury, nothing worth mentioning.

“Oh?” Hearing this, a faint surprise flashed in Aurora’s eyes, but she quickly regained her composure and slowly said in a mysterious tone, “I do have some news about a Destiny Law inheritance. Are you interested?”

Lin Ye's eyes immediately lit up upon hearing this. One must know, standing before him was a true God! Therefore, the news about the Destiny Law inheritance she spoke of must be extraordinary, far beyond ordinary inheritances!

“Of course, I’m very interested!” Lin Ye did not hide his inner desire and anticipation, staring intently at Aurora with shining eyes, as if afraid of missing a single word.

After all, such an opportunity was truly rare. If he could obtain this inheritance, it would undoubtedly be of immense help to his comprehension and Fusion of the Destiny Law.

Moreover, after the previous failed lesson, Lin Ye deeply understood that only with a sufficiently deep understanding of the law could he integrate it more smoothly.

Therefore, facing the Destiny Law this time, he did not hastily choose to go into seclusion as he had in the past. Instead, he traveled extensively and endured hardships, solely to better comprehend the true essence of the Destiny Law and make ample preparations for its subsequent Fusion.

And if he was fortunate enough to obtain this inheritance and draw upon the wisdom and experience of his predecessors, his progress on the path of cultivation would surely advance by leaps and bounds. Thinking of this, Lin Ye became even more excited.

“But that requires you to pay me sufficient compensation,” Aurora said expressionlessly.

Lin Ye nodded in understanding, thinking that there was no free lunch in this world; to gain benefits from others, one must pay a corresponding price. So he asked, “What kind of compensation do you need, Lady Aurora? As long as it’s within my capabilities, I will not refuse.”

Aurora’s lips curved slightly, revealing a faint smile, and she softly replied, “You have been incredibly kind to our Elf Race this time. If you can continue to give your full support and help as before, then I will naturally tell you that important news.”

“Good, then it’s settled!” Lin Ye replied without hesitation, his tone firm and confident. He knew that when cooperating with someone of Aurora’s prominent status and powerful strength, he had to show enough sincerity and determination.

It is worth mentioning that there was no agreement or Contract signed between the two. Perhaps it was because Aurora was always free-spirited and unconstrained by traditional rules and restrictions; or perhaps she simply disdained to use such methods to bind each other.

However, Lin Ye did not feel worried or uneasy because of this. After all, he knew that he had the Galaxy Lord as his solid backing. Even if Aurora were to go back on her word and betray him later, the Galaxy Lord would be fully capable of handling any potential situations.

A Faith God could not escape the temple, and was weaker than a Law God, so Lin Ye believed Aurora would not make an unwise move.

“Lady Aurora, is there anything else you need my help with later?” Lin Ye asked.

The Elf Race's general situation was stable, like an old dog. As long as they remained steady and didn't act recklessly, resisting the opponent's dying counterattack would be enough.

“From what I know of that bitch Lolth, she definitely has a trump card. I will deal with Lolth, and anything below the God-level will be left to you,” Aurora saw things clearly.

Out of curiosity about Lin Ye, she spent some time checking on his information, and the news that Lin Ye had almost slaughtered a newly promoted Faith God naturally came to her attention.

The Elf Race was very strong, but even the strongest Elf Queen only had a hundred times the combat power of a Star River Peak.

With Lin Ye, a being comparable to a demigod, she could rest assured.

“Alright, anything below God-level is on me,” Lin Ye replied.

Anything below God-level was not a problem for him.

The only thing worth noting was the Faith God’s method of bestowing power upon her believers.
