121: Fishing for tuna

Zhang Jun and the others first bled and acid-drained the 170-180 jin Yellowfin Tuna.

Then, they took a commemorative photo with the Tuna.

When Bai Lang came over to Yang Qi, he kept grinning and laughing, like a big fool.

No one made fun of him; after all, who wouldn't be happy to catch a 170-180 jin Tuna?

Yang Qi now had no trouble catching Tuna weighing over 200 jin; it was simply a matter of how much time it took.

The group arrived just in time to see the Bigeye Tuna being pulled to the side of the boat.

Zhang Jun took the gaff, aimed at the large fish's head, and plunged it in fiercely.

The Bigeye Tuna convulsed for a moment and then quickly died.

Working together, they hoisted the Tuna onto the deck, and their first priority was to bleed and acid-drain it.

Following that, the four continued their pursuit, each catching another Tuna.

This meant that the four on setting sail had caught a total of six Tuna at this spot.

The captain of the fishing boat opposite him didn't need to fish; he sat in the cockpit, propped his feet on the control panel, leisurely smoked a cigarette, and occasionally used binoculars to observe the nearby sea conditions.

When setting sail first started catching Tuna, they noticed the activity there.

So the captain also discovered it immediately, and he had been observing.

When he saw two large fish hooked at the same time, he muttered to himself,

“Holy crap, they really caught big fish!

Judging by the strain on the fishing rods, these fish underneath aren't small!”

“I wonder if they're big sharks!

Hopefully, they are sharks, hehehe!”

The captain thought with a hint of malice.

He watched with great interest for over half an hour, and then saw that they were two Tuna.

One was a Yellowfin Tuna over 100 jin, and the other seemed to be over 200 jin, which made him feel a pang of jealousy!

“Holy crap, holy crap!

It's two Tuna.

This doggone luck is really good!”

Although he was a captain, he only worked for the company, responsible for piloting the vessel.

No matter how many fish his own fishing boat caught, he only got a commission.

Every time he heard those Tuna fishermen talk about how a single Tuna they caught could sell for tens of thousands, he couldn't help but be tempted.

However, envy was envy, and he also knew that this line of work was not easy; there were many who went bankrupt and sold their boats, and he knew several acquaintances who had gone bankrupt and changed professions.

“It's safest to work for someone, to be a captain and drive a boat for others.”

“Those guys are good!”

The captain couldn't help but nod.

“But in just an hour, they've caught two Tuna.

That's truly impressive!”

However, what happened next made his jaw drop.

In less than an hour, two more Tuna of similar size were hoisted onto the deck.

“The speed of catching Tuna and the catch rate are simply unbelievable, they're not human!”

The captain was dumbfounded.

What he didn't expect was that in less than an hour, those rascals opposite had caught two more Tuna.

“Holy crap, holy crap, this is not something a human can do, they actually caught six Tuna over 150 jin in a row.

Damn!”

The captain was both envious and jealous.

However, he was still very impressed internally.

“I have to say, those guys opposite are pretty amazing!

Damn!”

“Those four guys are completely covered up with hats, balaclavas, face masks, sun protection clothing, and gloves, so I can't tell who they are!”

“But their technique is indeed good!

They managed to get a 200-jin Tuna onto the deck in less than an hour, repeatedly.”

This technique could definitely rank among the professional Tuna anglers on their side.

The captain made a cup of coffee and checked the fish finder display; the Skipjack Tuna school had significantly decreased.

It seemed some Skipjack Tuna had either eaten their fill or were startled and fled.

The captain contacted the transport ship to come and pick up the catch; he was preparing to go to the next fishing spot.

Coincidentally, the transport ship was nearby, picking up goods from other fishing boats.

About an hour later, the transport ship arrived next to this professional Skipjack Tuna fishing boat.

Just then, the Skipjack Tuna school also dispersed.

“Brothers, let's work a little harder, put in some effort, move the fish from the ice hold, and then we'll rest, okay?”

The captain walked out of the cockpit, clapped his hands, and said.

Once the two boats approached and moored, everyone laid several planks between the two boats, and a group of people worked together to transfer the Skipjack Tuna.

The captain of the transport ship offered him a cigarette and asked, “Old Ding, is that boat opposite a professional Tuna fishing boat?

Why are there only four people?”

“Yes, in less than four hours, they've already brought up six Tuna.

They are very professional and very impressive.”

Captain Old Ding said to the captain of the transport ship while puffing on his cigarette.

“How is that possible, catching so many Tuna in less than four hours?

It seems they are all masters!”

“That amazing!

Let me see which village they're from, if I know them.”

The transport ship captain took Captain Old Ding's binoculars and began observing.

“I don't know, they are very likely local fishermen.”

“Holy crap, they've hooked another monster!”

“Hooked!”

Old Ding was lighting a cigarette when the loud shout startled him, almost burning his fingers with the cigarette he held.

“Tsk tsk tsk, that's incredible, my brother!”

Bai Lang immediately showered him with compliments.

Yang Qi accepted them without any pressure.

Yang Qi gripped the fishing rod tightly, feeling the powerful pull of the giant underwater, the rod bending into an exaggerated arc.

Zhang Jun and the others immediately gathered around; everyone could tell this fish was very big, their faces filled with excitement and nervousness.

Captain Old Ding and the transport ship captain on the opposite fishing boat also put down what they were doing and focused intently on this side.

The fish underwater struggled frantically.

Yang Qi gritted his teeth, his legs firmly planted on the deck, and he slightly loosened the drag, engaging in a test of strength with the large fish.

He had already realized it was another Bigeye Tuna weighing over 260 jin.

Time passed minute by minute, and large beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.

Continuously catching three Tuna weighing over 200 jin was indeed very tiring.

Zhang Jun immediately stepped forward to take over.

After more than ten minutes, Zhang Fei took over to reel in the line.

The group took turns, seizing the time to rest and replenish energy.

After nearly an hour of back and forth, it was finally Yang Qi's turn, the experienced one, for the last leg.

He steadily pulled the Bigeye Tuna, weighing about 270 jin, to the side of the boat.

Zhang Jun and the others came forward to help, using a rope to loop its tail and gaffing it.

Finally, after a fierce struggle, a gigantic Bigeye Tuna emerged from the water.

Everyone gasped in surprise and rushed forward to help.

With everyone working together, the Bigeye Tuna was successfully hoisted onto the deck.

It weighed nearly 300 jin, which was an exceptionally rare catch.

It was indeed rare for a Bigeye Tuna to grow so large.

Yang Qi looked at the huge fish with a relieved smile, while the captains on the opposite fishing boat were filled with admiration and envy.

PS: I accidentally posted the wrong chapter.

After racking my brains for over an hour, I finally figured out how to successfully move Chapter 121 to its rightful place.

(Hello! 00:46.)

Sweating profusely...
