416: Yellowtail snapper

When Yang Qi piloted setting sail to the small pier, he saw a familiar scene once again.

Dozens of owners were already waiting at the pier.

And so, these people started picking out the sea fish they liked, some taking two, others taking three.

When the owners learned that there were still many wild Abalone, Sea Cucumber, and Crab—all top-quality goods—on the boat, they all expressed a desire to buy some.

It must be said that the purchasing power of these uncles, aunties, and young wives is truly strong; these owners alone bought over 70,000 yuan worth of seafood.

Of course, the bulk of this money came from those large Abalone and Sea Cucumber.

All the remaining seafood was sold to Chen Tianming, bringing in another 500,000-plus yuan.

Yang Qi and Bai Xue took the Large Whelk and some of the Abalone and Sea Cucumber they had kept and returned to the Sea View Villa to keep them alive.

Of course, those large Sea Eel were not sold either; ever since Yang Qi had tasted the fermented black bean stewed Sea Eel made by Bai Xue, he had grown fond of this dish.

Having money means there's no need to mistreat your stomach; this is Yang Qi's life motto.

In fact, apart from going out to sea to fish, he doesn't have any grand ambitions.

With money in his pocket, a beautiful wife, a boat, a car, and a house, living like a slacker is quite nice too.

He feels that his current life is quite good; if he wants to go fishing, he goes, and if he wants to stay at home for a few days, he does, with both money and free time!

It's better than some, but not as good as others.

Run a company? That's impossible!

There's no need to torture himself!

For the next few days, Yang Qi didn't go out to sea and just lazed around at home; sometimes in the evening, he would go to the bay below the villa area to fish and chat with a few old men.

Occasionally, he would go to the The City to eat and drink tea with Zhang Jun and the others.

After four or five days passed like this, Yang Qi and Bai Xue filled up the fuel, took their two dogs, and headed out to sea again.

It wasn't that they didn't have money for food, but rather that after a long time, the two of them couldn't sit still.

Once out at sea, if there were fish, they would catch some; if not, they would treat it as a relaxing outing, or look for some fishing spots so his father could bring guests over to fish.

This time, they planned to head southeast to a sea area they had never been to before.

Perhaps there would be an unexpected surprise.

More than four hours later, setting sail stopped near a reef island; since it was close to the reef island, the water depth was around 40 meters.

Yang Qi saw seven or eight Green Grouper hiding near some large reefs.

He sensed the direction of the ocean current, parked the boat appropriately, and dropped the anchor; setting sail drifted with the current, landing just above the fishing spot.

Yang Qi took out some frozen fish to chop into pieces, put them into a Net Bag, and stuffed half an antarctic shrimp brick inside.

He tied a rope to it, attached a large lead weight, and lowered it into the sea.

If you don't bait the spot when fishing, you won't catch much!

Bai Xue watched Yang Qi's actions without saying anything and just stood to the side to assemble two boat rock fishing rods.

In the vision of Yang Qi's Supernatural Ability, he saw many fish gathering rapidly, starting to circle the Net Bag and frantically sucking at the antarctic shrimp and fish fragments drifting out of the Net Bag.

He took a fishing rod handed to him by Bai Xue, baited it with a Shrimp, and cast it into the spot.

He waited until the bait sank to the seabed, then reeled in about 1.5 meters of line.

He let the bait get close to the Net Bag.

Among them, one Green Grouper had its mouth pressed against the Net Bag, sucking hard, but even though its mouth was tired, it didn't manage to eat much.

At this moment, it saw a large Shrimp delivered right to its doorstep, opened its mouth wide, and gulped it down in one bite.

Yang Qi subconsciously locked the drag switch, hugged the fishing rod with both hands, pulled it to the side, and started the aggressive attack mode.

In a short while, he reeled in an eight-catty Green Grouper.

Not bad, a perfect start.

Bai Xue's luck was also quite good; her first cast caught a four or five-catty Sea Bream with a yellow back.

"Little Snow, what fish is this?"

Yang Qi felt he hadn't caught this kind of fish before, so he had unlocked a new species.

"Hubby, this is a Yellowtail Fusilier!"

Yellowtail Fusilier, scientific name Yellowtail Fusilier, has a maximum body length of 100 cm; its body is spindle-shaped, with a gray-blue back, a white or pink belly, and a bright yellow tail.

It is blue-gray when young, and turns golden yellow on the tail and back after reaching adulthood.

Yellowtail Fusilier has dreamy colors, and they move in large schools in the ocean like Sardine.

However, because they have such a fiery temper, some individuals die as soon as they are caught.

They might even crash to their deaths in small environments.

They have a similar body shape to Yellow Chicken Fish, except there is a yellow band on the fish's back that extends all the way to the tail.

Steaming, sashimi, and pan-frying are all good choices.

The market price for Yellowtail Fusilier is quite affordable, around 50 to 70 yuan per catty.

While Yang Qi was still looking at this fish, Bai Xue hooked another one, also a Yellowtail Fusilier weighing about four catties.

After the two of them caught four or five Yellowtail Fusilier in succession, Yang Qi finally spoke:

"Little Snow, it must be a school of Yellowtail Fusilier; let's switch to a multi-hook rig!"

"Hmm, okay, I was just about to say that!"

Since this fish is hard to keep alive, Yang Qi felt there was no need to challenge biological traits, so all the Yellowtail Fusilier they caught were tossed into the fish basket behind them.

The lively, jumping Yellowtail Fusilier caught the attention of the two dogs; they circled the fish basket and barked wildly, as if those jumping fish were provoking them.

During this time, one fish finally slipped from Bai Xue's hand onto the deck.

Coal took the opportunity to grab it and run away, while Gold Bar froze for a moment before turning its head to follow.

Yang Qi had seen it long ago; Coal is more active and smarter than Gold Bar.

Every time they trained on new commands, Coal would always be the first to complete them, while Gold Bar would mostly just follow or imitate Coal when doing things.

Between the two dogs, it was a relationship of big brother and little brother.

Yang Qi and Bai Xue finally experienced the joy of consecutive catches once again.

It wasn't that their skills or luck had improved, but that the school of Yellowtail Fusilier below was quite large.

It even reached the point where if Yang Qi wanted to catch those Green Grouper again, he had no chance.

Because they had absolutely no chance to get the hook.

The school of Yellowtail Fusilier was too dense; the bait was intercepted before it even reached the bottom.

The two of them pulled frantically for three hours, and every cast could catch three or four Yellowtail Fusilier weighing about four catties each.

This meant that every cast brought in at least seven or eight hundred yuan, although it couldn't compare to the times they encountered precious fish species, where one cast could bring in three or four thousand yuan.

But even seven or eight hundred yuan per cast was quite staggering, because they had been pulling frantically for over three hours now.

Yang Qi could also clearly see the entire large school of fish had already passed through here and was swimming away toward the southeast.

"Little Snow, you go pilot the boat and follow the school of fish."

Yang Qi made a prompt decision, and Bai Xue clearly felt that the fishing bite had worsened, so she nodded and said:

"Okay, Hubby, I'll go pilot the boat."
