392: Opening blind boxes

"Ah! Is it really that tragic? What's the book called? I'll take a look, look when I have time."

Bai Xue asked curiously.

"The book is called 'Superpowers Made Me a Professional Angler'. You can check it out if you want, but if you're not satisfied, don't go to the comments section and curse at the author!"

Yang Qi reminded her.

"I know that. If I don't like it, I'll just swipe away. I wouldn't do something as unrefined as cursing at someone. After all, it's not easy for people to write all those words."

Bai Xue nodded and said.

The two of them soaked in the water like that, chatting idly about everything under the sun.

The two simultaneously decided to open the eight boxes of repacked porcelain first. They found three pairs of various shaped vases and jars inside, while the other two boxes contained porcelain bowls and plates wrapped in their sun-protective clothing.

Neither of them knew anything about antiques, so they couldn't tell the era or whether they were authentic. They only knew they looked quite nice—some had blue and white patterns, some were painted, and some were even solid colors without patterns.

"How about we put them away for now and find a time to let Teacher Bald and the others take a look?"

"Okay, hubby. I think we should fill the Rest Cabin first, especially with these lighter boxes."

Bai Xue suggested. Yang Qi nodded in agreement after hearing this.

So, over several trips, the two carried the porcelain to the Rest Cabin and stored it properly.

"This box of mine is raw jadeite stones."

"This box of mine is jewelry!"

"This box is ore..."

...Finally, after more than four hours of inventorying and moving, the two finally cleared the deck.

Including the four boxes originally picked up from the sea and the wooden boxes repacked after organizing the iron ones...

Yang Qi and Bai Xue had exerted all their strength to salvage a total of sixty-eight wooden boxes.

Among them were twenty-four boxes of gold bricks, one box of gold coins, five boxes of temple vessels like gold Buddhas, and two boxes of various Southeast Asia style gold jewelry.

Ten boxes of various ores, eight boxes of raw jadeite, five boxes of ambergris, eight boxes of porcelain, four boxes of various gemstones, and one box of pearls.

Yang Qi took the list Bai Xue had written and sucked in a breath of cold air.

Everything else was placed in the Rest Cabin.

For the upcoming voyage, Bai Xue didn't plan to go back to the Rest Cabin to sleep. There was a small bed in the Cockpit, so the two could keep each other company and chat while sailing, which was quite nice.

Yang Qi locked the two cabin doors and returned to the Cockpit with that small box.

"The other things are easy to handle; we can put them in the home vault first. It's just those ores that are a bit of a white elephant for us; we don't even know what kind of ore they are."

Yang Qi took the knife handed to him by Bai Xue, who was currently steering the boat.

"You're right. The things the japanese collected back then are probably good stuff, but they're really useless to us."

"Never mind that stuff for now. I'll open this box first to see what's inside that required such a perfect seal."

Yang Qi picked up the knife and began to carefully break the sealant.

After watching for a while, Bai Xue lost interest and began to concentrate on steering the 'setting sail'. Using cruise mode for a short time was fine, but it definitely wouldn't work for a long period.

Fifteen minutes later.

Bai Xue was also curious upon hearing this. She picked up that thin sheet and found some japanese characters on it.

However, japanese was clearly beyond her scope of knowledge. Except for a few Arabic numerals like 235, she didn't understand anything else.

Bai Xue pulled out her phone and began scanning the text.

"Holy crap, those damn japanese, those bastards."

Suddenly, Bai Xue's crisp cursing reached Yang Qi's ears. This was the first time he had heard her use foul language.

Not to mention, her voice was sweet and soft, so it actually sounded quite pleasant.
