217: Going out to sea

“Let me show everyone around.”

Bai Xue led everyone to tour the setting sail, taking out keys to open each cabin one by one for them to see.

At this point, the fuel truck and Yang Qi arrived almost simultaneously.

When the group learned that filling up the boat would cost over 40,000 yuan, they were all full of praise, calling it a true gas guzzler.

Wang Xudong and his companion took the Women to the supermarket to buy things, then left to go home.

When Yang Qi returned home after filling up the tank, he found everyone had gone to rest. He went to his bedroom on the third floor and was about to open the door.

He noticed the opposite bedroom door was ajar, and the light was still on. Yang Qi shook his head and pushed the door open, intending to turn off the light.

He found Bai Xue standing prettily behind the door, smiling at him.

“Xiao Xue! It’s you! I thought no one was here and was about to turn off the light.” Yang Qi was overjoyed and immediately hugged Bai Xue.

“Hehehe, Auntie told me to stay here tonight to avoid getting up early to travel,” Bai Xue said.

“Mm, that’s best! Do you want to come over to my place and sit for a bit first?” Yang Qi said with a mischievous smile.

“Sit for what? Get some rest early, we have to wake up early tomorrow!” Bai Xue gave Yang Qi a glare.

“Then I’ll sit here with you,” Yang Qi suggested again.

“No way, you’ll sit and then you won’t leave! Alright! Go to sleep! Good night!” Bai Xue actively kissed Yang Qi and said, pushing him out the door.

“Wait, Auntie and the others will laugh at me if they find out.”

“Alright, alright, if you kiss me again, I’ll leave.” Yang Qi hugged her, refusing to let go.

“Okay! You promise you’ll keep your word!” Bai Xue stood on her tiptoes and kissed him again, but ended up being held by Yang Qi for a ten-minute practice session.

In the end, it was Bai Xue, using her last bit of sanity, who escaped Yang Qi’s ‘demonic clutches’.

“You don’t keep your word, I’m not talking to you anymore!” Bai Xue exclaimed sweetly and fled into the room.

“It was one kiss! Didn’t it never stop? So it was just one, wasn’t it?” Yang Qi replied with a chuckle.

Seeing that Bai Xue had locked the door, he could only slink back to his own room.

The two then talked on the phone for another hour before finally resting.

According to Yang Qi’s suggestion, they should have met in person to chat, as there was no need to waste phone credit.

However, his suggestion was rejected by Bai Xue, so he had to make do.

At 3 AM, everyone woke up and headed to the pier. They bought a catty of Shrimp for bait.

Since they only had one day, Yang Qi bought half the usual amount of ice he would for a deep-sea trip.

Yang Qi slowly steered the setting sail out of the pier, heading towards the deep sea.

This trip included Zhang Li and Wang Chun, plus Yang Qi, his mother, and Bai Xue, a total of five people.

The four Women went up to the flybridge, eating snacks and chatting.

When the first line of light appeared in the distant sky, the entire dark world was like a curtain being drawn!

As the light continued to emerge, the horizon gradually brightened, and the golden sun quietly revealed its shy face. Streaks of sunlight pierced through the clouds, shining on the sea.

The entire sea surface was rendered into a golden mirror. The sea breeze blew, and the endless mirror surface turned into golden fish scales.

The sunlight, clouds, and sea reflected each other, forming a breathtakingly beautiful picture.

The four Women had long stopped talking, leaning on the railing and gazing at the intoxicating scenery.

Bai Xue was also a meticulous person, having already taken out her phone to capture the entire sunrise process.

She also helped the aunties take many photos. When accompanying guests, one should ensure they have a good time.

Yang Qi drove for another two hours. Yang Qi spotted a school of Black Sea Bream. He steadily stopped the setting sail directly over the fish school.

Bai Xue had already installed electric reels for the three aunties. Seeing the fishing boat stop, she began to teach them how to use the electric reels for fishing.

Yang Qi used a boat rock fishing rod and did not use an electric reel.

As the Shrimp-baited hooks went into the sea, the school of Black Sea Bream, which was foraging, immediately swarmed around.

Yang Qi was the first to hook a fish. At a depth of over thirty meters, there was no need to worry about pressure issues.

From hooking the fish to unhooking it and throwing it into the live fish tank, the whole process was smooth and took only two minutes.

Zhang Li and Wang Chun were sea fishing for the first time. They were in a flurry, and under Bai Xue’s guidance, when they reeled in a Black Sea Bream, they screamed with excitement like children.

Mother Yang Zheng Jin, after her previous fishing experience, seemed more at ease.

Bai Xue let the two of them share a live fish tank. About half an hour later, Yang Qi noticed the fish school was startled and dispersed.

So he greeted the others and continued forward to look for fish schools.

Bai Xue also told everyone to stop fishing and rest for a while. She herself went to the kitchen to cook fish porridge for everyone.

When the fresh and fragrant fish porridge was ready, everyone had two bowls. The two Women were full of praise, commending Bai Xue’s excellent cooking skills.

Arriving at a reef area, Yang Qi saw many Crabs scuttling across the seabed.

Yang Qi stopped the boat and placed five ground cages nearby. Why only five? Mainly because he forgot to buy bait fish.

He chopped up a few mistakenly caught Horse Mackerel and hastily stuffed them into the ground cages. Whether he could catch Crabs was more a matter of luck.

The setting sail continued forward.

Zhang Li and her companion asked Bai Xue somewhat suspiciously if Yang Qi driving like this all the time wasn’t too wasteful of fuel.

“This is Yang Qi Ge looking for fish schools; this is his real skill.”

“Others would definitely lose money on fuel by driving around like this, but we won’t. If we encounter a valuable large fish school, we might even make a lot of money.”

Only then did the group realize.

Thus, the setting sail stopped and started, encountering four or five schools of fish, such as Sea Bass, Yellow Chicken Fish, Filefish, red seabream, and so on.

Everyone had their fill of fishing.

With Bai Xue’s help, Zhang Li even caught a red seabream weighing over forty catties, making her beam with joy.

Wang Chun and her mother were similar; their largest catch was a red seabream weighing over twenty catties.

Of course, Yang Qi, this cheat, definitely caught much more than them.

Because the other four were all busy taking photos and selfies.

At noon, the Women together made a sumptuous all-fish feast, including steamed Sea Bass, braised red seabream, pan-fried Spanish Mackerel, Yellow Chicken Fish sashimi, and a Filefish stew.

Everyone ate heartily; the freshly caught and prepared sea fish were incredibly delicious.

Moreover, since they caught and cooked it themselves, the emotional experience was completely different.

After lunch, the group sat around on the sofas on the flybridge, drinking tea and chatting, helping with digestion.

Yang Qi steered the setting sail towards the location where he had placed the ground cages.

On the way, he also discovered a school of Sardine, not very large, and no Tuna were following behind.

Only some Barracuda and Skipjack Tuna were following to prey.

“Xiao Xue, there are Sardine! You come and drive the boat.” Yang Qi shouted towards the flybridge.

“Okay, I’m coming!” Bai Xue heard Yang Qi’s shout and responded loudly. Yang Qi steered the boat towards the fish school.

“Leave it to me!” Bai Xue looked at the fish finder screen and, following Yang Qi’s instructions, nodded in agreement.
