248: Xisha Diving

Yang Qi looked up at the jade-like body slowly entering the sea on the beach, and it took him a while to recover.

Another net bag also contained five or six Spiny Lobsters.

Yang Qi looked at Bai Xue, who was still tirelessly engaged in various forms of filming not far away.

At this moment, Bai Xue truly resembled a mermaid, her jade-like body particularly prominent on the seabed.

Her long hair flowed, and apart from her bikini and flippers, the only external item on her was the professional diving knife strapped to her thigh.

After gaining her ability, she was now in her element, her swimming speed barely able to keep up with some of the fish darting in and out of the coral reefs.

Yang Qi carried two bags of fish onto the setting sail, sorted them into the live fish tanks, and then re-entered the sea.

All of this was thanks to her ability; it allowed Bai Xue's swimming speed to keep up with the fish, enabling her to gracefully film at various angles on the seabed.

"Very beautiful, I like it very much."

Yang Qi kissed Bai Xue, who was beside him seeking praise, and wisely complimented her.

"Really? Thank you, hubby! Hehehe,"

Bai Xue was like an elementary school student praised by her teacher, her face beaming with undeniable excitement.

"Hubby, after dinner, how about we go for a night dive for a while?"

A strange glow began to emerge as marine microorganisms, disturbed, emitted faint blue bioluminescence.

The coral reefs on the seabed, as if self-illuminating, radiated soft green, blue, and purple light.

These glows were not man-made but a natural phenomenon called "biofluorescence."

The two were stunned by the beauty of the coral reef world at night. Schools of fish darted through the constantly undulating coral reefs.

Bai Xue, without a word, took out her camera and began to film.

She wanted to capture all of this night scenery, which was completely different from the daytime, into her camera.

Next, it was time to catch those beautiful ornamental fish. Bai Xue had specially brought a small-mesh scoop net and a net bag.

These ornamental fish were generally only a dozen centimeters long, some even smaller. A scoop net for large fish had mesh that was too big and couldn't be used at all.

Yang Qi obediently stood by, holding the net bag and assisting Bai Xue. The two caught many small fish of different species, without taking the time to identify them in detail.

The two dared not touch the coral. They were very content with their current life and didn't want to end up "treading the sewing machine" (a euphemism for being imprisoned).

Night snorkeling was more like an adventure than a simple water activity.

Just then, as the two rounded a coral reef, they saw a large sea turtle slowly swimming past them, even turning its head to look at them.

Bai Xue immediately picked up the camera hanging around her neck and chased after it, taking a flurry of photos.

After swimming alongside the large sea turtle for dozens of meters, Bai Xue returned and gestured excitedly to Yang Qi, her face beaming.

Yang Qi looked at Bai Xue's excitement with doting affection, feeling that everything was worth it.

The two then circled the nearby coral reef, catching small fish for a while, before surfacing.

Yang Qi helped Bai Xue onto the aft deck, asking her to put the colorful ornamental fish into one of the small live fish tanks first.

The two re-entered the sea, heading for the fish catches that could be sold for money.

First to catch their eye were two Wrasse, weighing two to three catties each. Under the light of the diving lamp, these two Wrasse seemed dazed and didn't even try to escape.

Each took one, directly grabbing the Wrasse with their gloved hands and stuffing it into the net bag they carried.

In the Xisha Islands, fish like Wrasse are truly ubiquitous near some coral reefs.
