411: Shenjiamen Fishing Port

The three-story ship superstructure had a wide and spacious open-air deck on the top floor, which might have originally housed some scientific research equipment. It must have all been dismantled after it was decommissioned.

Together with the Buddhist mountain of Putuoshan, the maritime Yandang Zhujiajian, and the maritime fairyland of Taohuadao, it forms the "Golden Triangle" of East China Sea tourism.

To put it simply, Shenjiamen Fishing Port is a very long harbor, about 11.5 kilometers long and only 0.17 to 0.19 kilometers wide; when there are many ships, it looks like chopsticks stuck in a bowl.

Thousands of ships shuttle through here all year round. During the fishing season, hundreds of thousands of fishermen from over a dozen coastal provinces and cities gather in the port. With masts standing like a forest and mountains of fish and shrimp, it forms a unique island fishing port landscape.

Compared to northern Beltfish, Zhoushan Beltfish are relatively smaller and have black eyes, which is why they are also called "black-eyed Beltfish."

However, due to the warm waters and abundant bait resources of the East China Sea, their meat is more delicate and delicious, earning them the reputation of being "the most delicious Beltfish in the world."
