126: Special wake-up service

At 7:30 AM, Bai Xinran turned over on the sofa.

Her neck felt a bit stiff from sleeping, so she sat up and rubbed her shoulders. Light filtered through the curtains; it was already bright outside.

She stood up and listened at Yu Heng's door. It was very quiet inside, so he probably hadn't woken up yet.

Then she tiptoed into the kitchen, fried two eggs, toasted two slices of bread, and heated two cups of milk.

When the oil splattered from the frying pan, she stepped back to avoid it.

A thin layer of mist had formed on the kitchen window. She wiped it with a disposable rag and saw that most of the leaves had fallen from the trees in the yard outside.

After breakfast was ready and set on the table, she went to the bathroom to wash up.

Looking at herself in the mirror while brushing her teeth, she noticed dark circles under her eyes. She hadn't slept well last night.

Although she had washed up before bed yesterday, she still felt a lingering taste in her mouth.

She shook her head and splashed cold water on her face.

Walking to Yu Heng's door, she hesitated for a moment.

Her hand rested on the doorknob, and she gently twisted it open.

Bai Xinran walked in, holding a tray, and placed the breakfast on the nightstand.

She turned around, her gaze falling upon him.

Seeing Little Yu's state, she unconsciously licked her lips.

She swallowed. Should she...?

——

His eyes were still closed, but his brows were slightly furrowed, and his Adam's apple bobbed.

Suddenly, Yu Heng opened his eyes. His gaze dropped, and he saw Bai Xinran.

The two looked at each other for a few seconds. Yu Heng narrowed his eyes and said nothing.

Bai Xinran lowered her head again. His hand ruffled her hair.

"What time is it?" Yu Heng asked, his voice hoarse from just waking up.

"Almost... almost eight," Bai Xinran said.

"Mm." Yu Heng acknowledged, then looked up at her. "What are you doing?"

"I... I'm calling you for breakfast," Bai Xinran said, her voice a little weak.

"Calling me like this?" Yu Heng's tone was flat, revealing no emotion.

Bai Xinran's face grew hotter. "No... I just..."

"Just what?"

"I just..." She gritted her teeth. "I saw it and couldn't help myself."

Yu Heng stared at her for a few seconds, then suddenly smiled. "Couldn't help yourself?"

"Mm."

"So you've held back now?"

Bai Xinran didn't speak.

"Speak," Yu Heng said.

"No," Bai Xinran honestly replied.

Yu Heng smiled again. "Then why are you still standing there stunned?"

Bai Xinran was startled. "Ah? Ah! Okay..."

A few minutes later, he said, "That's enough."

Bai Xinran stopped. She looked at Yu Heng, her eyes questioning.

"Eat first." Yu Heng sat up, implying something. "You've had breakfast, but I haven't."

Bai Xinran said "Oh," stood up, and brought the tray over.

"You have class today, right?" He glanced at Bai Xinran, who was sitting by the bed.

"Mm, one in the morning, another in the afternoon." She looked up at Yu Heng. "Will you be okay at home by yourself?"

"It's fine," Yu Heng said, poking the fried egg with his fork. "It's actually not a big problem; I can just move slowly."

"I'll come back at noon to make you lunch," Bai Xinran said. "I'll come back right after class at noon; there's enough time."

"No need," Yu Heng said, his tone casual. "Qin Lu will bring me food."

"Teacher Qin?" Bai Xinran blinked. "She... she's bringing you food?"

"Mm," Yu Heng replied.

"Teacher Qin and you..." She paused, seemingly choosing her words carefully. "Are you in that kind of relationship?"

"No," Yu Heng said directly, without beating around the bush. "It's more of a lover relationship."

Bai Xinran said "Oh," nodded, and then said, "Teacher Qin has a great figure. You're really amazing."

Yu Heng was stunned for a moment, then chuckled. "That's your reaction?"

"What's wrong?" Bai Xinran looked at him. "Did I say something wrong?"

"Most people, when they hear something like this," Yu Heng observed her, "wouldn't they be surprised, or not accept it?"

Bai Xinran thought for a moment. "Why wouldn't I accept it?"

"Teacher-student relationships are immoral," Yu Heng said, with a hint of teasing in his tone. "Also, I have other women."

Bai Xinran frowned, seemingly genuinely pondering the question.

"Teacher-student... it's fine, we're already in college. As for whether you have other women..." Bai Xinran pursed her lips. "That's your business."

She looked up at Yu Heng. "I only need to know that you still want me."

Yu Heng stared at her for a few seconds. Bai Xinran felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze.

"Do you really think that?" Yu Heng asked.

"Mm," Bai Xinran nodded. "And I'm very happy that you can tell me."

"Why?" Yu Heng smiled.

"It means you trust me!" Bai Xinran replied.

"Alright," Yu Heng said. "It's best if you think that way."

Bai Xinran glanced at her phone; it was past nine o'clock.

"I need to change," she stood up. "If I don't go now, I'll be late."

She walked to the door, then turned back. "Then I really don't need to come back at noon?"

"No need," Yu Heng said. "You can change."

"Okay." Bai Xinran nodded, then took clothes out of the closet, preparing to leave.

"Can't you just change here?" Yu Heng said. "Do you need to hide from me?"

"Okay then!" Bai Xinran pursed her lips and started changing.

Yu Heng leaned against the headboard, watching her put on a hoodie and jeans. Her hair was long enough to be tied into a braid.

"I'm leaving," she said. "Call me if you need anything."

"Mm." Yu Heng responded, and the room fell silent.

Bai Xinran's attitude was within his expectations, but her stating it so frankly still surprised him a little.

It seemed as if this girl's mind wasn't burdened by worldly moral concepts.

Or rather, she only adhered to the rules she herself believed in.

——

With nothing to do in the morning, Yu Heng leaned against the headboard, picked up his phone, and switched to the Bilibili sub-account "yu ling dao mu."

He checked the video's stats. Wow, not bad.

Private Messages: 99+.

He clicked on the private message list and scrolled a few times; the content was largely similar.

"Teacher! Where's the full version! Please!"

"Where's the second half? I gave you all my coins!"

"How do I pay? I want to listen to the paid content!"

Yu Heng tapped on the screen, replying to each one: "For the full version, please go to Aifadian, same name."

After replying to a dozen messages, he felt a bit tired and simply posted an update.

He created a project on Aifadian.

He uploaded the audio file to cloud storage and pasted the link into the automatic reply settings.

The title was "Full Version of 'Late Night Airport' (15min+)."

The description was simple and direct: "Includes all content. Cloud drive link will be automatically sent after payment."

The price was set at 15 yuan.

Based on his understanding of the audio market, with this level of popularity, two to three hundred a day shouldn't be difficult.

However, this kind of audio content has a low ceiling; even a hit product would only earn a few thousand yuan at most, as those who pay are willing to share, and then there are many who just consume for free.

It could be combined with live streaming, as a captain's perk or something, but he couldn't spare the energy for live streaming.

Yu Heng pursed his lips. The real value wasn't in this, but mainly in customer resources.

Diverting female users from various platforms to WeChat and maintaining those relationships could be used to convert them into customers for his self-created adult brand later on.
