160: celebrate
At six o'clock on Saturday evening, the wind was slightly weaker than during the day.
Yu Heng pushed open the restaurant's glass door. The receptionist looked up at him and asked with a professional smile, "How many in your party?"
"I reserved two private rooms, surname Yu."
The receptionist lowered her head to flip through the ledger. "Mr. Yu, correct? 'Yihe' and 'Xinhe,' upstairs on the right."
Yu Heng and the others followed another waiter inside.
He pushed open the door to "Yihe." The private room was spacious, with a round table seating ten. Cutlery and tea were already set out on the table.
"We're early." Shen Yueling followed him in, taking the bag off her shoulder and hanging it on the back of a chair. Bai Xinran closed the door behind them.
"Master, Sister Yueling, shall we sit here?" She walked to the window seat and lightly touched the back of the chair.
"Just sit wherever." Yu Heng pulled out a chair and sat down, pushing the menu toward Shen Yueling. "See what you'd like to eat."
"You order. I'm actually not very hungry," Shen Yueling said.
Yu Heng looked at Bai Xinran, who also smiled and said, "Master, you can decide."
"They haven't arrived yet?" Yu Heng asked Shen Yueling.
"Yu Tong said she'll be here soon." Shen Yueling turned her phone screen toward him. "The others... also said in the group chat that they're almost here."
Bai Xinran got up and poured Yu Heng a cup of hot tea. "Please have some water."
Yu Heng took the teacup and took a sip.
The private room door was pushed open, and Zhou Mengqi and Wang Luyu entered one after the other.
"Club President!" Zhou Mengqi saw Yu Heng and greeted him with a clear voice.
Wang Luyu quietly followed up with a greeting, her gaze quickly sweeping between Yu Heng and the two girls before she pulled out a chair and sat down.
Zhou Mengqi took off her down jacket and hung it on the back of the chair. Underneath was a fitted sweater, tightly hugging her figure.
"Sit down first, have some water," Yu Heng glanced at her. "I'll order the dishes now."
After the order was placed, the waiter left with the menu, and the private room fell silent.
Zhou Mengqi cleared her throat. "Club President, our video metrics are still rising."
Yu Heng nodded. "That's normal, but we need to strike while the iron is hot and shoot the next video this week."
Zhou Mengqi's eyes lit up. "That works! I can even skip class to shoot it!"
Wang Luyu quietly said from the side, "I don't have many classes, so any time works."
Yu Heng smiled, and just as he was about to speak, the private room door was pushed open again.
Ning Yutong pushed the door open and scanned the room. When she saw Yu Heng, her eyelashes fluttered, and she immediately shifted her gaze to Shen Yueling.
"You're here?" Shen Yueling waved her over. "Sit here."
She pointed to the empty seat next to her; Yu Heng was on the other side.
Ning Yutong pursed her lips, walked over, and sat down, deliberately leaning her body toward Shen Yueling.
Yu Heng didn't turn to look at her, continuing to speak to Zhou Mengqi, "Then we'll shoot next week. We'll coordinate the time later."
"No problem!" Zhou Mengqi's eyes sparkled. "Club President, what topic are we shooting this time?"
"This time, we're shooting family affection," Yu Heng took a sip of tea. "We'll discuss the specifics once the script is ready."
After a while, everyone had arrived. Yu Heng arranged for all the familiar faces to be seated in his private room.
The waiter started serving the dishes. Once most of the food was on the table, Yu Heng raised his wine glass. "Come, let's celebrate."
Everyone raised their glasses and clinked them together.
"I'll say a few words," he said softly. "Mengqi and Luyu's accounts have become popular, as you all know. This level of followers means they can start accepting commercial orders."
Everyone in the private room focused their attention.
"Accepting commercial orders means income," Yu Heng continued. "They can do it, and so can you."
"Yu Tong's account also has hundreds of thousands of followers now," Yu Heng looked at her. "She doesn't post videos very frequently. If she posted three to five episodes a week, her follower count would grow quickly."
Ning Yutong lowered her head, gently poking the rice in her bowl with her chopsticks. Hearing this, she looked up, met his gaze briefly, and quickly looked away.
"Mhm..." she replied softly.
"For the rest of you who have ideas," Yu Heng added, "you can also start taking action and talk to me privately about your concepts."
Bai Xinran sat on Yu Heng's other side and quietly picked up a piece of spare rib for him.
"Club President," Wang Luyu spoke up, "how will the money from commercial orders be divided?"
Hearing Wang Luyu ask about the money division, Yu Heng didn't mind; in fact, he was somewhat satisfied.
Someone had brought up the most practical issue, and he could use this opportunity to make a statement.
Profit is always the most direct adhesive for a team.
"Seventy-thirty," Yu Heng said. "The Club takes seventy percent, and you keep the rest. Of course, this is just for the initial phase. As long as your follower count stays above one million, it will become a fifty-fifty split, and you can even take up to seventy percent."
This ratio was the result of his careful consideration. On the surface, the Club's cut wasn't small, but what he provided was far more than just an account and an idea.
This was different from live streaming, which only requires a computer and some equipment. The cost of shooting far exceeded that. Although they did the filming themselves, he paid people to handle the post-production editing.
Now that the accounts were popular, they needed to continue producing content, requiring full operational support, traffic promotion, commercial order negotiation, and so on. Even hidden costs like shielding against legal and tax risks were on his sidethings that a few fledgling students couldn't handle alone.
This ratio served both as a threshold and a screening process.
The people willing to accept this and strive forward from this starting point were the ones he truly wanted to cultivate and bind to himself.
As for the Tiered Commission Plan, it was both an incentive and a clear value proposition and commitment to a long-term bond.
He wanted these girls to see that by following him, they could not only drink the soup now but also eat the meat in the future.
Wang Luyu quietly asked, "What about taxes?"
"The Club will handle that," Yu Heng said. "What you receive is after-tax."
Wang Luyu grinned. "Great!"
"Alright," Yu Heng smiled. "No need for further discussion, let's eat!"
Everyone started using their chopsticks. During the meal, the conversation flowed freely; the success of the account had clearly excited them all.
"Club President," Zhou Mengqi stood up, holding her glass. "I'd like to toast you."
Yu Heng raised his wine glass. "You can toast while sitting."
"I can't do that," Zhou Mengqi insisted on standing. "If it weren't for you, how would we have had the chance to shoot such a popular video?"
Yu Heng smiled, stood up, and clinked glasses with her. "You all performed excellently too."
Both drank a sip of wine. Zhou Mengqi lowered her head, leaning very close to him.
She glanced at Ning Yutong, who was chatting with Shen Yueling; everyone's attention was elsewhere.
"It's just that the Club President has been so busy lately, he hasn't had time for me. I've been taking the medicine for almost two weeks now," she whispered, her eyes seductive.
Yu Heng raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. She smiled sweetly, glanced down at her lower abdomen, and then looked up, asking, "When will the Club President come and make use of it?"
"Tonight, wait for me at the Villa," Yu Heng whispered back. "Tell Wang Luyu to return to her room early."
