140: Apply for accommodation

Yu Heng went to Qin Lu's office because he needed to apply for off-campus housing.

"My respected and beautiful Teacher Qin?" He walked up to the desk, smiling. "Busy?"

"What is it?" Qin Lu rolled her eyes at him. "Say what you need to say."

"I want to apply for off-campus housing," Yu Heng said directly.

Qin Lu looked up at him. "Off-campus housing?"

"Ah, since I've already rented a place outside, I might as well just live there," Yu Heng said.

Qin Lu narrowed her eyes. "Three nights outside a week isn't enough for you anymore?"

"Three nights is far from enough." Yu Heng smiled. "I have a lot of things going on, and running back and forth is troublesome."

Qin Lu let out a soft snort, pulled out a *Student Off-Campus Accommodation Application Form* from her drawer, and handed it over. "Fill it out."

Yu Heng took the form and quickly scanned it.

He needed to fill in basic information, the reason for the application, and the off-campus address.

At the very end, there were two more columns: one for the Counselor's opinion, and the other for the parent's opinion and signature.

He picked up a pen from the pen holder on the desk and started filling it out.

He quickly finished the basic information. In the 'Reason for Application' section, he wrote: "Due to personal study and practical arrangements, a relatively independent and stable living environment is required, thus applying for off-campus accommodation."

For the off-campus address, he wrote the address of the current Villa.

After filling out the first part, he pushed the form back to Qin Lu. "Teacher Qin, please sign your opinion."

Qin Lu took the form, wrote "The situation is true, approval recommended" in her opinion column, and signed her name and dated it.

Then she tapped the bottom of the form with her finger. "Here, parent's signature. It must be signed by the guardian, you cannot sign on their behalf, and I have to verify it with your family."

Yu Heng looked at it. "Must? Do we two even need to go through this process?"

"This is the regulation." Qin Lu capped the pen, speaking somewhat seriously. "Yu Heng, I am your Counselor, and I must be responsible for you."

Hearing this, Yu Heng pursed his lips. Being a Counselor was her job; she really shouldn't let personal feelings affect her work.

He took the form back, folded it twice, and put it in his pocket. "Alright, then I'll go home this weekend."

The office was quiet for a few seconds before Qin Lu spoke again, her voice slightly lowered. "Bai Xinran needs off-campus housing too, right?"

Yu Heng didn't deny it. "Mhm, she does too."

"So you two are cohabitating," Qin Lu said flatly. "Young people nowadays, really..."

Yu Heng smiled, leaning slightly forward as he looked at her. "How about... you move over too?"

Qin Lu's eyelid twitched. She glared at him, her face feeling a bit warm. "What nonsense are you talking about!"

"I'm not talking nonsense." Yu Heng's tone was quite serious. "There are enough rooms, and it would be convenient for you to travel back and forth to school, saving you the drive."

Qin Lu bit her lip, and after a moment, said, "You might be shameless, but I still have my dignity!"

Yu Heng smiled and didn't pursue the topic further.

He walked to the window, turning his back to Qin Lu, and asked, "Has Lin Liyan made any moves recently?"

Qin Lu was silent for a few seconds. "I didn't answer his calls."

Yu Heng turned around to look at her.

"I replied to him with a text message," Qin Lu said. "I told him divorce is fine, but he leaves with nothing."

"What did he say?"

"He said he'd think about it." Qin Lu tugged at the corner of her mouth.

Yu Heng walked back to the desk, placing his hands on the surface. "Fine, let him think about it."

"I'm looking for someone to contact that Wang Wenyu," Yu Heng said. "I want to find a way for her to dump Lin Liyan."

Qin Lu was stunned for a moment. "Is that necessary?"

She actually didn't quite understand why Yu Heng wanted to do this.

The divorce agreement had already been proposed; as long as Lin Liyan agreed to sign, the matter would be over.

Why stir up more trouble?

"What do you mean by necessary or unnecessary?" Yu Heng straightened up, hands in his pockets. "Lin Liyan seducing his own student—I won't criticize that behavior morally, after all, I'm not someone with high moral standards either—but his affair is somewhat unmanly."

Qin Lu pursed her lips.

"How much grievance did he make you suffer before this?" Yu Heng looked at her. "And you're just going to divorce him so lightly?"

Qin Lu said worriedly, "I'm afraid if he does something, you might get hurt."

Yu Heng frowned slightly. "Based on your understanding of him, is he that kind of person?"

"No..." Qin Lu shook her head.

"Right?" Yu Heng smiled. "If he had the capability, he wouldn't have cheated. He would have decisively broken things off and proposed divorce openly."

"He really doesn't have that capability; he's always hesitant about everything he does," Qin Lu muttered.

"Don't worry," Yu Heng said. "I won't let him know about me."

Qin Lu thought of everything that had happened before and couldn't help but say subconsciously, "He really is quite useless."

"I'm better, right?" Yu Heng said with a smile.

Qin Lu chuckled, looking up at him. "What man is ever good? Aren't you surrounded by women too? And now you're about to move in with someone."

"That's not the same thing," Yu Heng said.

Qin Lu refuted, "How is it not the same thing?"

"No matter how many women I have, I'm not secretive about it," Yu Heng walked over to her, resting his hand on the back of her chair. "Besides, the nature of it is different."

"Love and marriage are still sacred," Yu Heng's voice lowered slightly. "If I chose to get married, I would definitely aim for one person for life."

Qin Lu pursed her lips. "You? Can you do that?"

"Probably not." Yu Heng was very honest. "That's why I choose not to date or marry."

Self-awareness is important. He was a divorced man; what right did he have to talk about one person for life?

People and feelings change. Right now, he just wanted to seize the present.

Qin Lu was momentarily stunned. She frowned and said, "So you can justly and confidently find so many women?"

"Why shouldn't I be confident?" Yu Heng said, smiling. "It's all consensual, isn't it? Aren't you?"

Qin Lu wanted to refute him but didn't know how.

Griting her teeth, she said, "I was dragged onto this pirate ship by you!"

Yu Heng lowered his head and leaned close to her ear, breathing warm air as he said, "Well, you're on board now, and once you're on, you can't get off."

Qin Lu shrank her neck and raised her hand to push his shoulder. "Stop breathing on me, it tickles."

"Where does it tickle?" Instead of backing away, Yu Heng leaned in even closer.

Qin Lu felt half her body go numb, as if she'd been electrocuted.

"Stop teasing me," she said, her voice very low and slightly annoyed. "You little rascal, didn't we wear ourselves out yesterday?"

"Then beg me," Yu Heng said. "Beg me and I'll let you off."

"Are you trying to kill me!" Qin Lu glared at him. "Stop messing with me!"

"Hurry up. If you don't beg, I'm going to start touching you," Yu Heng persisted.

"Oh, please, please," Qin Lu said, closing her eyes.

"Beg me for what?" Yu Heng pressed his advantage.

"Beg you to let me go!"

"Haha," Yu Heng straightened up. "Alright, I'll let you off then."

Qin Lu opened her eyes, took a breath, and looked at him with playful anger. "You little rascal, are you satisfied now?"
