53: What's in Bai Xinran's cabinet?

"Shall we go?" Yu Heng put his camera back in his bag, stood up, and said, "Let's go next door and check on Qin Ya."

Qin Lu nodded, picked up the remaining cup of milk tea, and the two left the milk tea shop together.

Through the glass window of the Cat Café next door, Qin Ya was squatting on the floor, playing with a chubby orange cat.

Catching them in her peripheral vision, she slowly stood up.

"What did you two talk about?" She pushed the door open and came out, her expression looking distinctly mischievous.

"Talk about what?" Yu Heng reached out to ruffle her hair, but she deftly dodged him. "Hurry up and go stream."

"What's the rush?" Qin Ya sipped her milk tea. "Even my mom isn't rushing me."

Qin Lu lightly patted her back: "Stop joking around, let's go."

On the way to the Villa, Qin Ya walked a few steps ahead, occasionally looking back at the two of them.

The three reached the entrance of the Villa, and Yu Heng pulled out his key to open the door.

Qin Ya, familiar with the place, changed her shoes and entered the house: "I'm going upstairs to prepare now."

After saying that, she scampered upstairs, leaving Yu Heng and Qin Lu in the living room.

"Please have a seat," Yu Heng gestured toward the sofa. "Would you like water? Or tea?"

"No need to trouble yourself," Qin Lu sat down on the sofa. "I'll just sit for a bit."

Yu Heng still went to the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee, placing it on the coffee table in front of her, then sat down on the single sofa opposite her.

Qin Lu picked up the cup and took a sip.

She drank the coffee very gracefully, taking small sips.

She crossed her legs the other way.

Qin Lu suddenly looked up at Yu Heng: "Don't mind what Qin Ya just said; that child sometimes speaks without thinking."

"Which part?" Yu Heng leaned forward. "The part where she said you were beautiful, or the part where she told me to take your picture?"

Qin Lu hadn't expected him to be so direct. She picked up the coffee and took another sip, not responding.

"She was right," Yu Heng continued. "You are indeed beautiful."

"Yu Heng." Qin Lu put down her cup, her voice carrying the seriousness appropriate for a Counselor. "I am your Counselor."

"I know," Yu Heng grinned. "I didn't say anything else."

Just then, a sudden shriek of "Ah!" came from upstairs.

Hearing the noise, Qin Lu abruptly stood up, failing to steady the coffee cup in her hand, spilling most of it onto her skirt suit and blouse.

"Are you burned?" Yu Heng also stood up.

"I'm fine—" Qin Lu rushed toward the stairs before finishing her sentence, coffee stains already visible on the stockings near her knees.

"Counselor, you should deal with that first," Yu Heng stepped in front of her. "I'll go up and check. She probably just fell or saw a cockroach."

Qin Lu looked down at the soaked front of her blouse and skirt; she was indeed a mess. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "Alright, please go check quickly."

Yu Heng took the stairs two steps at a time and gently pushed open Qin Ya's door.

She was wearing headphones and speaking into the microphone. Seeing Yu Heng standing at the door, she quickly muted the mic, turned her head, and raised an eyebrow: "What?"

"What happened to you just now?" Yu Heng scanned the room; nothing seemed unusual.

"Someone sent me a 500 yuan special effect gift," Qin Ya pointed at the screen. "I couldn't help but scream."

"..." Yu Heng took a deep breath. "Making such a fuss. Fine, keep streaming."

In the living room, Qin Lu had already taken off her suit jacket and draped it over the armrest of the sofa, using tissue paper to wipe the coffee stains off her blouse.

Could his cup hold half a bottle of mineral water?

She had only taken a few sips before the rest was spilled all over her.

Now, large patches of the skirt suit were wet, and the white blouse was nearly soaked through, revealing the outline of her underwear underneath.

Yu Heng came downstairs, cleared his throat: "Counselor, Qin Ya is fine. Someone just sent a large gift, and it startled her."

Hearing this, Qin Lu breathed a sigh of relief: "That child... always so reckless."

"Your clothes," Yu Heng pointed at her outfit. "Why don't you take a shower? Coffee sticking to you must be uncomfortable."

"No need," Qin Lu quickly waved her hand. "I can just wipe it... it'll dry soon..."

"How can you wipe that clean?" Yu Heng raised an eyebrow. "It'll be inconvenient to go home like that, and what if you catch a cold?"

Qin Lu bit her lower lip, clearly conflicted.

"I have clean towels here, and wait—" He suddenly remembered something. "I'll go check Bai Xinran's room. She should have spare clothes. Your figures... well, they're quite different, but you should still be able to wear them."

Qin Lu stood there, hesitated for a moment, and finally nodded: "Alright then, I'll go wash up."

Yu Heng maintained a normal expression: "There are unopened towels and bath towels in the bathroom cabinet. You can use them directly. Shampoo and body wash are also available."

"Okay, thank you." Qin Lu said in a low voice, picked up the suit jacket draped over the sofa, and entered the bathroom.

Yu Heng sent Bai Xinran a WeChat message.

"Counselor accidentally spilled coffee on herself, she's quite wet. Can I borrow a set of clean clothes from you for an emergency?"

It wasn't long after sending the message that Bai Xinran replied.

"Fine. My room isn't locked, just go in and get them. They're in the closet."

Yu Heng walked toward Bai Xinran's room, pushed the door open, and found the room reasonably tidy.

Since Bai Xinran started using this room, he hadn't entered it, except for the time she had a fever.

Yu Heng walked up to the closet and pulled open the door.

There weren't many clothes inside. A few folded pieces of underwear were placed on one side, and two or three sets of daily change clothes were hanging next to them.

One set consisted of a gray hoodie and a pair of black sweatpants. This style truly wasn't restrictive on figure, so Qin Lu should be able to wear it.

Just as he reached out to take the clothes off the hanger, the phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated violently, not just once, but repeatedly.

Yu Heng took out his phone and saw they were all messages from Bai Xinran:

"Wait!"

"Don't go into my room yet!"

"Wait, did you go in?"

"Reply to me immediately when you see this message!"

Yu Heng raised an eyebrow. Before he could reply, a voice call request popped up.

He answered, held the phone between his shoulder and ear, and continued holding the clothes: "What's wrong?"

"Are you in my room?" Bai Xinran spoke very quickly, with a hint of rare nervousness.

"Yes, I'm in," Yu Heng slipped the clothes off the hanger. "What's wrong? Are you hiding gold bars in here?"

"Did you open the closet?!" Bai Xinran's tone suddenly spiked.

Yu Heng now had the hoodie and pants set in his hand, revealing the inner side of the closet that had previously been blocked.

His eyelid twitched, and he narrowed his eyes.

Were there a few chokers placed there?

Most importantly, a row of...? was actually fixed to the back panel?

"No!" he said subconsciously. "I just got in, haven't opened the closet yet. What's up?"

"Then wait for me! I'll be there right away! Fifteen minutes, no, ten minutes!" Bai Xinran spoke rapidly. "Wait for me to find the clothes for you! You go out first! Don't stay in my room!"

The dial tone sounded.

Yu Heng took the phone away from his ear and rubbed his chin.

I really didn't see that coming.

Kemonomimi/Non-human?

That's a very unique hobby.

The brand Phantom Dragon doesn't exist yet, does it?

Those few items just now didn't look very well-designed.

But now he could confirm that Bai Xinran's skin truly reflected her inner self.
