100: Chapter 100 The Star of the Dead: The Final Battle Against Demons (Part 1)

The Divine Kingdom was constantly strengthening the combat power of its units every moment; even the weakest spearmen now possessed strength at the Peak of the Mortal level.

Meanwhile, the Devilish Cloud was also summoning the spirits of those who had died unjustly. With the help of Devilish Qi, the lingering resentment called upon the demonic intent remaining in the remains, causing one monster after another to stand up and join the Devil Dragon's army.

"Bang!" A sonic boom suddenly exploded in the sky.

Zhao Feng was flying rapidly through the sky with An.

The Devil Dragon was constantly gathering dead creatures to demonize them, but on Zhao Feng's side, there was also someone with the ability to summon the dead: An.

An could transform the dead into undead, and because she had become a subordinate of the God of War, her abilities had advanced. Even if the remains of the dead had vanished, An could still summon ghosts from the lingering resentment.

As the saying goes, one rises as the other falls; for every undead An summoned, the Devil Dragon had one less monster under its command.

Relying on their extreme flight speed, Zhao Feng carried An to circle around the direction the Devilish Cloud was advancing, summoning rapidly. Before An's Soul Power was exhausted, Zhao Feng had gained hundreds of thousands of miscellaneous troops.

Because these undead did not belong to the Empire System, they could not be strengthened within the Divine Kingdom and would instead be ignited by the Divine Flame. Therefore, the undead army served as cannon fodder, positioned at the outermost perimeter of the defensive circle.

Within the Divine Kingdom, the environment was entirely determined by the Lord of the Divine Kingdom.

At the outer perimeter of the defensive circle, the mountain terrain slowly changed. Two steep Peaks suddenly rose, enclosing the central city behind them at the core. In front of the Peaks, a wide river flowed with water carrying Divine Flame, serving as a moat.

Relying on the towering city and facing the unfathomable abyss, the solidity of the central defensive circle was unprecedented in history.

Flying in the sky, Zhao Feng watched the System countdown, quietly waiting for the arrival of the Devil Army.

The Devil Army arrived late, nearly two hundred thousand strong, surging forward with an overwhelming Aura.

"Disgusting scent! A God, a lackey of the power of life, actually still exists." If Agathos's loud voice didn't utter such annoying words, it would have been a decent baritone.

Looking at the Devil Dragon flying out of the Devilish Cloud, Zhao Feng retorted, "For an ugly lizard like you, only the devils would put you forward as cannon fodder."

"If I were in my prime, a weak god like you could be blown to death by a single sneeze," Agathos said with disdain.

Zhao Feng was about to speak, but Agathos had already charged over, "Don't think about stalling for time! Devil Army, charge!"

Zhao Feng wanted to test the strength of this Devil Dragon. Relying on his immortal body, he flew straight at it and threw a punch.

Agathos also swiped with a claw.

"Boom!" Zhao Feng shook his numb hand and took a step back.

Agathos also flapped his dragon wings to stop his backward momentum.

"Strange body!" the Devil Dragon roared excitedly and charged again.

Zhao Feng flashed away, retreating several hundred meters. His eyes turned red, and two fiery, blazing beams of light shot out from them.

The Devil Dragon covered his head with his claws. The blazing beams of light pressed hard against his claws, causing the pitch-black dragon scales to begin turning red and scorching hot.

These heat rays not only had high temperatures but also carried impact force, yet Agathos was able to withstand them easily. It seemed to be a guy that was definitely not to be trifled with.

Relying on the Steel Body ability didn't seem enough to deal with this Devil Dragon. The opponent had a huge body, so it might not be agile. Zhao Feng flashed in the air, and the Spirit Blade Slash was already in his hand. A silver flash of blade light vanished in an instant.

"Boom, boom, boom!" Clouds of white smoke suddenly erupted, and thunderous sounds shook the heavens and earth.

Along the ten-kilometer-long front line, over two hundred artillery pieces let out earth-shaking roars.

The earth trembled, seemingly shaken by this terrifying power!

The cannons manufactured by the age of empires base belonged to the first generation of muzzle-loading artillery, with slow firing rates, still using solid shot and canister shot. But where quantity was lacking, caliber and power made up for it.

These cannons were all heavy artillery with a caliber of over 150mm, and with the blessing of the Divine Kingdom, their power was not to be underestimated.

The long gun barrels and the dense Devil Army ensured that the artillery attacks did not miss a single shot.

The crude solid projectiles were heavy iron balls. Driven by violent force, these iron balls flew at speeds invisible to the naked eye into the Devil Army, which still appeared as mere specks.

The iron balls wiped out the Devil Army in a straight line. Whether it was the Devil Bear clad in thick scales or the agile Devil Wolf, they were all blasted into chunks of gore spurting black, filthy blood.

But soon, those lines created by the artillery fire were submerged; the Devil Army approached like a flood, stretching as far as the eye could see.

The massive noise stunned Agathos for a second, and Zhao Feng's blade aura had already slashed over. The Devil Dragon only had time to lean to the side, but he was struck on the shoulder by the blade aura.

Zhao Feng's hand holding the blade aura no longer had that feeling of cutting through tofu.

This was the first time since obtaining the Spirit Blade Slash that he had encountered such a situation; finally, there was matter capable of resisting the sharpness of the blade aura.

Although it was somewhat stiff, the blade aura still cut into the Devil Dragon's shoulder.

Pitch-black dragon blood sprayed out with a "hissing" sound, splashing onto the ground and corroding small pits.

"Ah, you actually hurt me!" On Agathos's massive dragon face, more than a dozen eyeballs stared roundly, full of disbelief.

As a devil that had grown past its juvenile stage, and even as a relatively powerful Devil Dragon among animals, he had actually been hurt by these mortal things.

"Roar!" The Devil Dragon spat out a mouthful of pitch-black black flame.

Zhao Feng flashed wildly, simultaneously blowing out a breath.

"Whoosh!" A violent gale carrying bone-chilling cold swept toward Agathos, making the Devil Dragon shiver.

As demonized creatures that were naturally fond of magma, they hated the cold immensely.

Agathos's black flames were not only extinguished, but he also got his face covered in ice.

"Unforgivable!" A thick dragon claw wiped his face, and then he swiped over.

In the sky, besides the battle between Zhao Feng and the Devil Dragon, the clash between the air forces of both sides was also dazzling and exhilarating to watch.

The Iron-Feathered Crane Knights, now numbering up to two hundred, were like a dark, dense cloud, swooping down toward the not-so-numerous Devil Army air force.

Among these demonized creatures, because the proportion of birds was relatively small, the flying monsters were not numerous, only a little over a hundred. These monsters were either giant birds, sub-dragon beasts, or some bat-like creatures; their flight speed was limited by their tattered wings, falling far behind the Iron-Feathered Crane.

The Iron-Feathered Crane Knights, however, relied on longbows, shooting at the flying monsters as they flashed past. These knights were the most elite archers, basically capable of hitting nine out of ten shots, and in no time, they had shot many flying monsters into hedgehogs.

Although these monsters were bristling with arrows, other than flying crookedly, they did not seem to be heavily injured.

But such a slight decrease in speed gave the Qin Army too many opportunities.

The hastily manufactured small-caliber artillery aimed at the sky, sealing off the enemy with dense fire. Once hit by the anti-aircraft artillery, no monster could escape unscathed.

Besides artillery, there were also a large number of giant ballistae firing thick javelins at the sky.

With the dual suppression from land and sky, the flying monsters were constantly being killed, and the situation was looking great.

As for the confrontation on the ground, the situation was somewhat confusing.

Facing the massive land Devil Army, the first to bear the brunt was An's undead legion.
