63: Chapter 63 Meeting and Provocation, First Battle

Early the next morning, Zhao Feng arrived at the agreed-upon location, met up with his two allies, and set off toward the headquarters camp.

Zhao Feng brought Xiao Luo and two squads of cavalry with him, leaving Meng behind to guard the camp just in case.

The Kilian Tribe and the Duerte People also brought their respective personal guard warriors. The group of over a hundred people set off with a menacing Aura. Fortunately, they didn't encounter any Corpse Beast ambushes, and they spent the entire morning traveling to reach the headquarters.

The Birch Forest Area was located at the northern foot of the Endless Mountains. North of the Endless Mountains lay the Endless Grasslands, and to the northwest was the vast yellow sand, which was their destination, the Endless Desert.

In this apocalypse of the Planet of the Dead, the land was shrouded in Death Qi everywhere. On the contrary, the original desert region, because it originally had few living creatures, still retained its original appearance.

Walking across the Gobi and into the yellow sands, the temperature grew increasingly hot. The horses' hooves would sink deep into the yellow sand; compared to camels, horses were far less adapted to such an environment.

Fortunately, the warhorses provided by the System were not so delicate, and they easily arrived near the headquarters.

When they were still over ten li away, they encountered Mad Wolf Cavalry acting as scouts. These cavalrymen moved in small groups of three or four, relying on their wolf mounts to rush back and forth, fully capable of handling the scouting work.

After verifying their identities, a squad of Mad Wolf Cavalry led the group northward. After another ten li, they finally arrived at the camp.

Looking from afar, the hills and plains were covered with all kinds of tents. Every few dozen tents, there were brightly colored flags.

The three tribes, including Zhao Feng's, belonged to the subordinates of the Third Junior Taiji. They were led into the camp affiliated with the Third Junior Taiji, quietly awaiting the summons of the Mad Wolf Tribe.

After Zhao Feng stationed his army, he walked out of his tent to observe the surroundings.

The subordinates of the Third Junior Taiji seemed to consist of about twenty-odd tribes, stationed all around, surrounding the central main military tent.

Those tribal warriors sat on the ground in groups of twos and threes, taking out what seemed to be food to eat. Seeing Zhao Feng looking from afar, they would occasionally look up at him.

Those warriors belonged to different tribes and had strange, varied appearances. Some were humanoid, others were beast-like, and so on. Generally speaking, the majority were humanoid.

Some particularly tall tribal warriors looked at the short Zhao Feng with disdain, while others stared with green, hungry eyes at the Qin Army soldiers who had already taken out food to cook. In the end, unable to restrain themselves any longer, they rushed over quickly.

They were several lizard-like creatures. They wore things like animal skins and had the light of intelligence in their eyes, which made them very different from ordinary lizards, even though they all walked on all fours.

"Kelo People, give us food, and we will protect you!"

Since this was the camp of the Mad Wolf Tribe after all, those Lizardmen did not dare to be too presumptuous. They only stared greedily at the abundant food, large drops of drool dripping down.

Once again mistaken for a member of the Kelo People, Zhao Feng remained expressionless. Since Xiao Luo beside him was indeed of the Kelo People, it was not surprising they made the mistake. But anyone who dared to provoke the Qin Army had to pay a price.

Even if it were the Mad Wolf Tribe, Zhao Feng would not be afraid, let alone a minor lizardman tribe.

Before he could even lose his temper, the Lizardmen could wait no longer. The aroma of meat stimulated their sense of smell, driving them into a wild frenzy in their starvation, so they paid no heed to the surrounding Qin Army.

The leading lizardman lunged and clawed at Zhao Feng.

Zhao Feng's expression turned cold. Being looked down upon by these savage fellows was indeed highly unpleasant.

He grabbed the clawing hand of the lizardman, stepped forward, and with a bang, threw the lizardman over his shoulder, slamming him onto the ground.

The lizardman's body wasn't too heavy, weighing only about a hundred kilograms. Such a weight was no longer any pressure in the eyes of the increasingly powerful Zhao Feng.

"Hiss!"

The remaining three Lizardmen hissed angrily and rushed over quickly.

Zhao Feng's body turned into a flash of lightning, flickering among the three. With a kick, a grab, and a palm strike, he sent the three Lizardmen flying far away, unable to get up for a long time.

Seeing their leader being bullied, the large group of Lizardmen in the camp naturally would not sit idle. They roared and rushed out one after another, just in time to clash with the fully assembled Qin Army. It looked as though a major battle was about to break out.

"Enough!" A sharp, angry shout rang out, highly penetrating. It must have come from an expert at the Peak of the Mortal Grade.

Zhao Feng's expression remained unchanged as he stepped aside to see what the newcomer from the Mad Wolf Tribe had to say.

Those few Lizardmen scrambled to their feet, stumbling, and respectfully prostrated themselves on the ground, awaiting the arrival of the superior officer.

"Fighting privately before the battle and disrupting military morale is punishable by death!" The leading Mad Wolf Rider held his head high and made his decision with a cold sneer.

The lizardman's body shook like a sieve as he cried out, "Taiji, spare my life! I will never dare to do it again!" while repeatedly kowtowing.

The Mad Wolf Rider glanced at Zhao Feng and sneered, "Do you refuse to accept the judgment?"

Zhao Feng's face darkened. It seemed that with trouble, either you went looking for it, or it came looking for you. Waiting passively for death was naturally impossible. There were no powerful experts among these people, so he was naturally fearless.

"Nonsense!" Zhao Feng sneered coldly, not even drawing his weapon. These few werewolves were complete child's play to him, entities he could insta-kill in seconds, so why should he fear them?

The leading werewolf sneered and waved his hand. The Wolf Cavalry behind him took short, quick steps, gradually accelerating as they charged over.

Zhao Feng barked a command to hold back the Qin Army soldiers who wanted to step forward and help. This was the perfect opportunity to establish his authority. In the midst of this major war, the Mad Wolf Tribe likely wouldn't start a major conflict with the Qin Army. Thus, the greatest shackle that could restrict Zhao Feng was gone.

The distance of five or six meters was crossed in the blink of an eye. Zhao Feng sneered and threw a punch, meeting force with force—the best way to establish authority.

"Heh heh." The werewolf bared his teeth in a cold sneer. This was a foolish kid. It was one thing to act like a tyrant in his local area, but he actually had no idea how formidable the Mad Wolf Cavalry was. Let me teach you: in your next life, when you see someone powerful, run as far away as you can!

The mount wolf rushed to his front, raised its giant claw, and swiped down viciously.

"Bang!"

Amidst the earth-shattering sound, some tribal warriors turned their heads away, unable to bear the sight, not wanting to see a scene of flesh and blood flying.

"What?" The few warriors who forced themselves to watch were shocked. This member of the Kelo People was actually this powerful.

The Mad Wolf Cavalry rider was knocked flying backward at an even faster speed, landing five or six meters away. He wailed repeatedly, unable to get up.

The remaining cavalrymen quickly scattered to both sides, not daring to look at the death god before them.

"Nothing more than this," Zhao Feng sneered coldly.

The leading werewolf's face turned ugly. He also knew that relying on this little strength was definitely not enough to take down this barbarian leader. Now he was stuck in an awkward position, not knowing what to do.

"Awoo! Awoo!"

Urgent wolf howls echoed in the distance. The werewolf's expression changed drastically. He glared fiercely at Zhao Feng, then rushed away with a whistle.

Zhao Feng also did not want to fall out with the Mad Wolf Tribe for the time being, so it was a happy ending for both sides. He stared at the map in his mind and noticed billowing dust in the distance.

Zhao Feng waved his hand to summon his personal guards to help him put on his armor, and then he mounted his Hammerhead Rhino.

"Prepare for battle!"

The two squads of cavalrymen mounted their horses one after another, gathering before Zhao Feng.

"Ah!"

"The Corpse Beasts are coming!"

Total chaos ensued. The outer tribes were in a state of utter panic and frantic screaming, with soldiers fleeing in all directions.

The Lizardmen who had been beaten down had long since returned to their tribal camp, gathering a large number of Lizardmen to prepare for resistance.

Dust billowed. About a kilometer away, countless dark shadows were rushing toward them.

Those dark shadows were displayed as red dots on the map. Although their movements were swift, they stumbled as they ran, undoubtedly making them Corpse Beasts.

Zhao Feng raised his long saber and shouted sternly, "Today, those who retreat shall die, and those who advance shall live! Soldiers, do you dare to slay the enemy?"

"Fight to the death, never retreat!"

"Fight to the death, never retreat!"

"Soldiers, charge with me!" Zhao Feng squeezed his legs against the Hammerhead Rhino and charged forward.

The two squads of cavalry drew their scimitars and charged forward courageously!
