57: Chapter 57 The Bronze Age

One day and one night after confirming the upgrade, the System's notification sound woke Zhao Feng from his sleep.

"Age upgrade complete."

At the same time, some alien races witnessed this miraculous sight.

Niucao was a Minotaur, and he was the current Clan Chief of the Minotaur tribe. Under his leadership, the Minotaur tribe had gone from prosperity to decline. Of course, he himself would not admit it.

"If it weren't for that terrible doomsday, my tribe would definitely be as powerful as the Qin Tribe."

The early-rising Niucao grumbled; the Qin Tribe's wheat rice was delicious, but it easily made one thirsty. Having drunk too much water, Niucao got up early in the morning to urinate and saw a miraculous scene.

Similar to him was the Hill Troll Modu; Trolls did not like the daytime. They preferred to come out at night.

Do not think this is a terrifying monster because of their name. In fact, Trolls are very kind; they are herbivorous humanoid creatures who love nothing more than lying in sand piles to sleep.

Modu had been busy all night and had chopped enough wood. He was planning to go to sleep, but just as he arrived in front of the Troll tribe's house, he suddenly discovered that the house was enveloped by a circle of emerald radiance.

In the distance, the Qin Tribe was covered in an even more overwhelming emerald divine radiance.

These divine radiances came quickly and left even faster!

After the light flashed, Modu, Niucao, and the early-rising people suddenly discovered huge changes around them.

The thatched cottages had turned into square-shaped earthen and stone mixed tile houses, neat and tidy, looking very comfortable. The simple fence gates had turned into wooden plank doors, no longer letting in drafts.

The muddy paths had turned into main roads simply paved with gravel, which would no longer be muddy, allowing the wheelbarrows passing over them to transport goods faster.

The changes to the buildings near the Qin Tribe were even greater.

The wooden perimeter walls had turned into earthen and stone mixed city walls. Originally limited by the strength and length of the wood, the walls were only three meters high. But the earthen and stone structure did not have this limitation, directly becoming six-meter-high city walls. Now, if the werewolves attacked again, they could only sigh at the walls.

In addition to the heavy city walls, the gatehouse was finally no longer just a simple thatched roof. The gatehouse had become a heavy fortress with an earthen and stone structure, greatly reducing the threat of weapons like bows, arrows, and fire to the garrison inside the gatehouse.

The watchtowers behind the city walls had also upgraded into Arrow Towers. Giant crossbows and corresponding Crossbowmen automatically appeared in the Arrow Towers, which could shoot at distant enemies. The Arrow Towers were also of earthen and stone structure, with even stronger defensive capabilities.

After being awakened by the System notification, Zhao Feng hurriedly got out of bed. By the firelight, he saw that everything around him had changed drastically.

The bed-like object made of rough logs had turned into a beautiful wooden bed, with simple patterns on the headboard.

The walls had been coated with lime; although it was far inferior to modern putty powder, it looked much cleaner and whiter.

The floor was paved with smooth stone slabs, and there would no longer be dust. Overhead was a ceiling made of wooden boards, also painted with white lacquer.

The tattered fence door had turned into a flat, carved wooden door, simply painted with light blue lacquer, with a faint smell.

It looked much more luxurious.

Zhao Feng happily pushed open the door and walked into the front hall.

The furniture in the front hall had all become very exquisite. Whether it was the floor, the walls, or the curtains hanging on the pillars, everything showed that this was a new era.

He hurriedly opened the System to check the changes in various buildings.

The other buildings did not change much, they were just more advanced than before. Besides this, there was also an additional Siege Workshop.

Siege Workshop: Ballista, catapult, large supply wagon.

Besides the buildings, the population cap that Zhao Feng cared about most had also increased significantly: one hundred thousand! The string of zeros made Zhao Feng beam with joy.

That was right; the Bronze Age was equivalent to the Xia Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period. For this special period, one hundred thousand was just a small number. However, the subsequent Feudal Age would require even more terrifying amounts of resources; Zhao Feng dared not even look at the massive resource requirements that would follow.

Feudal Age: 1 million Food, 1 million Wood, 500,000 Stone, 300,000 Copper blocks, 100,000 Iron Ore.

The age of empires System was, after all, a military-oriented war System. With such terrifying resource requirements, who knew how long it would take if he just farmed. This forced Zhao Feng to wage war, so the biggest changes were to the war-related technologies.

With the age upgrade, all known units were completely upgraded, causing the Qin Tribe's strength to make a huge leap. But the benefits brought by the upgrade were not just these; the tribe was not a game, after all, and the emergence of these new technologies would drive a series of changes.

For example, the manufacturing of bronze farm tools would trigger the emergence of related workshops, which would greatly drive the economic development of the Qin Tribe. Coupled with the pottery workshops that had sprung up before, as well as the furniture workshops created due to the appearance of new-style furniture, it was conceivable that the Qin Tribe would undergo rapid changes with each passing day.

The people of the Qin Tribe felt nothing about the changes after waking up in the morning, perhaps due to the mighty power of the System.

But the alien tribes would not think so.

Overnight, the originally somewhat dilapidated Qin Tribe had become completely different. The streets were clean and tidy, paved with bluestone slabs, the houses were neat and well-arranged, and the upturned eaves were painted with blue patterns.

The armored soldiers patrolling the main street wore golden armor and held sharp weapons in their hands.

All of this proved the miraculous nature of this tribe.

This was truly a tribe favored by the gods!

The benefits brought by the age upgrade were obvious. Early in the morning, the twenty-seven allied tribes came to visit collectively.

Except for the Giant Wood tribe that had already fully defected, the twenty-six tribes all requested to worship the gods of the Qin Tribe.

Actually, this was normal. In this world, apart from the Qin Tribe, no other tribe could have such developed agriculture and economic strength, and their war strength was not weak either.

Because of the lack of supplies in these Endless Mountains, there was no powerful tribe ruling, and each tribe struggled to survive, nor had there been any wars. Therefore, when the disaster came, without unified coordination, they were defeated one by one and suffered heavy losses.

Although it was said to be twenty-six tribes, there were actually only two hundred or so people. Relying on the Qin Tribe, although they could survive, they could not develop; joining the Qin Tribe could be considered a very good choice.

With the defection of the twenty-six tribes, the System sounded several "ding" notifications.
