120: Chapter 120 Mysterious Woman, Green Bamboo Manor

A woman in black stood outside the door, her face obscured by a veil, making her features hazy and indistinct. Seeing Zhao Feng emerge, she did not leave but instead scrutinized him coldly.

"Who are you, Miss, and why do you speak so harshly to me?" Zhao Feng said coldly.

"I was merely entrusted by someone to see if a heartless man like you was still alive," the woman replied, equally coldly. Her voice was clear, yet as cold as frost.

During their exchange, Liu Xuan walked out from the hall, stood beside Zhao Feng, and asked in a low voice, "Benefactor, what is going on? Who is this woman?"

"Oh! So it really is a charming and lovely young girl. No wonder some people are fickle and heartless, acting so unfaithfully," the woman glanced at Liu Xuan and suddenly interjected.

"Miss, why must you be so aggressive? If you have something to say, please speak plainly instead of beating around the bush. If you have no business here, then please leave!" Zhao Feng was somewhat displeased. Being scolded right to his face without knowing what was going on was truly baffling.

"Hmph! I don't know what my Princess Bailu sees in you, talking about you to a little squirrel all day long," the woman said coldly. "Fine, since you are fine, I must return to report. Aren't you talking to this young girl about the matters of Cultivate? Let me test your mettle then."

With that, a cold light flashed in her hand, revealing a precious sword. The sword exuded a chilling aura; it was clearly a fine weapon. She waved her hand, and the sword hovered before her. "Are you ready?"

Zhao Feng was in a state of confusion and hurriedly asked, "Don't attack! Speak clearly—what Princess Bailu? What kind of little squirrel?"

"The same kind of sneaky, rat-eyed stinking squirrel as you!" the woman snapped. "Go!"

The sword shot toward him like lightning.

Zhao Feng dodged to the side, letting the sword pass. He was quite astonished; the sword was incredibly fast, clearly powered by some special spiritual energy.

The sword was about ten centimeters long and extremely agile.

With a thought from the woman, the sword flew back to pierce him again. "Don't you have a Spirit Blade? Are you looking down on me?"

"Spirit Blade! How do you know about that? Speak, did Luo Ying send you?" Relying on his footwork, Zhao Feng darted around, dodging the Flying Sword at the very last second each time.

The two fought in an instant. The sword light whistled back and forth, weaving a brilliant silver cocoon of light over the shadows created by Zhao Feng's movements—a truly magnificent sight.

Seeing that Zhao Feng seemed to be at a disadvantage, Liu Xuan gritted her teeth, drew the silver blade from her waist, and lunged at the woman.

"Hmph!" The woman pointed her finger again. The Flying Sword traced a silver arc in front of Liu Xuan and then vanished into her body.

"Take care of yourself. This is what she gave you; keep it safe."

Before the woman's words had even faded, her body had turned into a streak of light, and she fled, carried away by the Flying Sword.

"Clang! Snap!"

Liu Xuan's silver blade was sliced clean off at the hilt and fell to the ground.

Zhao Feng's eyes, however, were fixed on a brocade pouch. On the pouch was a small signature—Luo Ying.

Zhao Feng's heart was shaken. He picked up the pouch and scanned the surroundings with his Mental Energy, but the woman had already vanished, her direction of departure unknown.

His body shot up into the air, and he scanned in all directions, but there was still no trace of her. "Luo Ying!"

His voice carried far into the distance, but no one replied.

Watching the man roaring in the sky, a flicker of determination flashed in Liu Xuan's eyes. "Benefactor, I must keep up with your pace."

Early the next morning, the two rose, hitched the carriage, and continued their journey.

Zhao Feng held the pouch, and a faint fragrance wafted from it—it was that exact familiar scent.

He hadn't slept all night, having examined the pouch over and over. Zhao Feng had discovered the pouch's hidden function: it was a Storage Pouch.

The space inside the pouch was not large, about five or six cubic meters. However, inside were neatly arranged piles of Jade Slips and a small heap of glowing, milky-white stones.

Luo Ying had left no message, but Zhao Feng knew her intention. His foundation for Cultivate was weak; these Jade Slips were likely introductions to the basics of Cultivate and a Cultivation Technique. And those milky-white stones must be the Spirit Stones that Luo Ying had once told him about.

"Benefactor, I am sorry. It is all because of me that Miss Luo Ying had a misunderstanding," Liu Xuan said remorsefully from the side.

"Let it be. Don't worry, I will explain it clearly to her," Zhao Feng said, glancing at her to offer comfort.

The atmosphere was heavy and awkward, and the two remained silent for a while.

As the carriage traveled further, the road on both sides gradually opened up. After turning a corner, the view suddenly brightened, revealing bamboo covering the mountains and plains.

The lush green bamboo danced in the wind, resembling waves in the ocean. From time to time, bamboo leaves drifted down with the breeze, looking like tiny boats in the wind.

A melodious flute sound drifted from the depths of the bamboo sea. The sound was bright and full of vitality.

As the carriage moved further away, the flute sound suddenly stopped, and for a moment, everything was silent.

Liu Xuan clapped her hands and laughed, "Sister Lv Zhu knows I have arrived. Her Internal Skill cultivation has become even more powerful."

Zhao Feng, however, looked at the surrounding green bamboo, lost in thought. This Miss Lv Zhu was certainly not simple.

Sure enough, the carriage moved forward a few more steps, and several young maids floated toward them.

Liu Xuan jumped off the carriage and called out happily, "Four sisters, I have come to disturb you again."

All four maids were beautiful and looked to be about fourteen or fifteen years old.

One of the maids in white nodded to Liu Xuan and said, "Miss Liu, the Villa Master has sent us to welcome you and this gentleman."

Zhao Feng jumped off the carriage. Liu Xuan walked over, tugged at his sleeve, and said, "This is my benefactor. Four sisters, please address him as Young Master."

"Bai He," "Hong Mei," "Huang Ju," "Yue Gui," "Greetings, Young Master."

The four maids stepped forward, curtsied, and spoke.

"No need for formalities." Zhao Feng nodded with a smile. Through his spiritual sense, he could tell that these maids also possessed cultivation. It seemed this silly girl Liu Xuan had been kept in the dark, unaware of anything.

Liu Xuan walked in front, chatting and laughing with the four maids, while Zhao Feng led the carriage behind, gradually venturing deep into the bamboo sea.

Finally, in the distance, a verdant villa hidden within the bamboo sea appeared, flickering in and out of sight. They had arrived.

After passing through an archway bearing the words "Green Bamboo Villa," the group arrived in front of the villa.

"Please, the Villa Master is already waiting for you both at the Listening Wind Pavilion," Bai He said, turning back to take the horse, smiling brightly.

"Thank you, Sister Bai He. Benefactor, let's go quickly." Liu Xuan smiled at Bai He, then pulled Zhao Feng and walked to the side.

Walking along the winding path and stepping on layers of bamboo leaves, the two arrived in front of a pavilion.

The pavilion was built entirely of bamboo. Although it had sharp angles and appeared slightly rough, it possessed a natural aura.

Sitting in the pavilion was a woman in green. She looked plump and seemed to be about twenty-three or twenty-four years old. Her features were somewhat hazy and not very clear, but one could vaguely tell that she was a very beautiful woman.
