100: Chapter 100 You dare speak loudly to me?
"This monster is at least LV8! Everyone, run!"
"Oh my god, it's LV8! How are we supposed to fight this?"
Before the words even faded, the sounds of Superpower attacks erupted from inside.
Fireballs, Wind Blades, stone spikes... lights of various colors flickered behind the door.
"We can't even scratch this monster! Its hide is too thick!"
"Run! This thing is unkillable."
Liu Kun peered through the gap.
He saw a few people running out from that door, their faces filled with fear and despair.
Just as they ran out of the door, several Tentacles shot out from inside, their surfaces covered in fine patterns.
Those Tentacles coiled around their ankles, waists, and necks.
In an instant, they were dragged back, followed by a shrill scream.
Liu Kun's pupils constricted sharply.
Those Tentacles reminded him of the ones on Wang Lin's back.
They were too similar; they were exactly the same.
It's just that these Tentacles were much larger and thicker than Wang Lin's.
Wang Lin's Tentacles were like snakes, while these were like pythons.
At this moment, Liu Kun had only one thought: What is this thing? What does it have to do with Wang Lin?
A few more screams came from inside, and then it went quiet.
No more screams, no more sounds of fighting.
Only the sound of chewing remained; they had all been eaten, all becoming a part of the monster.
Nearly a hundred people, including LV4, LV5, and LV6, possessed Superpowers, weapons, and defenses, but in front of that thing, they didn't even have a chance to resist.
Liu Kun swallowed, his throat making a gulping sound.
After a long time, there was no movement inside; the chewing had stopped.
Liu Kun waited a while longer—one minute, five minutes, ten minutes.
There was still no sound, and he thought to himself:
"It's a good thing I didn't go in back then, otherwise I would have been the first one to die."
"Wang Lin... this is all your fault. Just you wait."
"I will find you sooner or later and kill you."
...
Wang Lin walked through the dim corridor, his hands in his pockets, and sneezed.
"Achoo!!"
Then he rubbed his nose and said: "Who is thinking about me?"
As Wang Lin walked, he suddenly heard the sounds of fighting.
His eyes lit up. Fighting meant treasure; it seemed his good luck was coming.
So he hurried over.
In the center of the room, three people were fighting for their lives.
Two of them were wearing the colorful clothes of the Circus,
opposite them was a Silver Badge from the Twelve Zodiacs.
A laser sword lay on the ground, its red blade humming.
Wang Lin's gaze locked onto that laser sword. Good stuff.
Then he looked up at the three people.
On the Circus side, the big guy was named Iron Bear, a Beast Tamer, LV5.
A black bear lay behind him, eyes closed, not participating in the fight.
The skinny one was named Spirit Snake, an acrobat, LV5.
Thin as a bamboo pole, he gripped two short blades that shimmered with a green light—deadly upon contact.
Their opponent was a Silver Badge from the Twelve Zodiacs, LV5, named Han Yue.
Han Yue saw the bracelet on Wang Lin's wrist and felt a surge of joy.
A Reserve Member, one of his own from the Twelve Zodiacs.
Although he was only LV3 and useless, he could at least serve as cannon fodder to block for a few seconds.
A few seconds would be enough for him to grab the laser sword and run.
As for whether this kid lived or died, what did it have to do with him?
He forced a smile onto his face and beckoned to Wang Lin, his tone condescendingly cordial: "Kid, come here. What's your name?"
Wang Lin walked over, stood beside Han Yue, and said indifferently: "Wang Lin."
Han Yue nodded, having never heard the name before.
He glanced at Iron Bear and Spirit Snake opposite them and lowered his voice: "I have a task for you."
"In a moment, when I shout 'Go', you go and stall that big guy."
"Just a few seconds will do. Do you understand?"
Wang Lin turned his head and slapped Han Yue on the back of his head.
"Smack!"
Han Yue's head lurched forward, and he nearly fell to the ground.
He steadied himself, turned his head sharply, and looked in disbelief.
He, an LV5 Silver Badge, had been slapped on the back of the head by an LV3 Reserve Member?
Who could tell him what the hell was going on?
Iron Bear and Spirit Snake on the other side were stunned.
The two exchanged glances, looking completely bewildered. What was going on?
Fighting their own side? Was there internal strife?
Iron Bear's mouth twitched: "What... are they doing?"
Spirit Snake shook his head: "I want to know what the hell they're doing too!"
Han Yue gritted his teeth and said: "You're just a Reserve Member, how dare you speak to me like that? Do you not want to live?"
Veins bulged on his hands, but he didn't make a move.
There were still two Circus members opposite them; if he started fighting Wang Lin now, Iron Bear and Spirit Snake would rush over without hesitation, and he would be the one to die.
So he held it in, suppressing a bellyful of rage.
Wang Lin raised his hand and slapped him again.
Han Yue's face was knocked to the side, and a trace of blood oozed from the corner of his mouth.
He turned his head, looking at Wang Lin, his shock turning into murderous intent: "You... how dare you hit me?"
Wang Lin looked at him: "So what if I hit you?"
"How dare you speak to me in such a loud voice?"
"The last person who dared to speak to me like that already has grass growing on their grave."
"Who do you think you are?"
Han Yue's sanity snapped.
He had only one thought in his mind: kill this kid.
He didn't care about the laser sword anymore, and he didn't care about the two Circus members.
He wanted to kill Wang Lin, tear him to pieces, and let him know the consequences of offending an LV5 Silver Badge.
A ball of fiery red light lit up in his palm—Fire-type Superpower.
He threw a punch at Wang Lin's face.
Wang Lin raised his right hand, a dark golden light swirling at his fingertips [Vajra Transformation].
He extended his palm to meet Han Yue's fist, producing a dull, thunderous boom.
The fiery red light exploded in Wang Lin's palm, but Wang Lin's hand didn't budge an inch.
[Vajra Transformation] blocked the flames, not even leaving a white mark.
Wang Lin's fingers closed, gripping Han Yue's fist, and tightened sharply.
Han Yue's finger bones creaked.
Han Yue's pupils constricted, tears welling up in his eyes.
His body sank uncontrollably, and he knelt down, both knees hitting the ground.
Wang Lin looked down at him, his expression calm: "Do you submit?"
Han Yue's teeth chattered from the pain: "I... I submit..."
"Do you dare to speak to me in such a loud voice next time?"
"I won't... I won't... I'll never dare to again."
Wang Lin released his hand and kicked Han Yue in the chest, sending him flying.
"Trash. Get lost."
"You can't even beat two Circus members; you really are a disgrace to the Twelve Zodiacs."
"Watch how I do it."
Wang Lin didn't look at Han Yue again, his gaze falling on Iron Bear and Spirit Snake.
Iron Bear and Spirit Snake exchanged glances.
Iron Bear picked up an iron rod from the ground and gripped it in his hand:
"Kid, which organization are you actually from?"
"A Reserve Member of the Twelve Zodiacs couldn't possibly be this strong."
Wang Lin looked at them and walked slowly toward them: "You don't need to know who I am."
"You only need to know that that laser sword is mine now."
