He glanced inside and saw only one person in the room.

Wang Lin recognized him—it was Shi Gan, Commander Tie Mu's most loyal subordinate.

He was there alone, rummaging through things; he must have just arrived, hoping to find something valuable.

Wang Lin's eyes lit up.

This was a perfect opportunity; if he killed him, he could obtain the Earth Ability.

Shi Gan stared intensely at the Liu Kun in front of him. "Moonlight before the bed."

Wang Lin paused in surprise.

Moonlight before the bed? What was this? A code? A secret handshake code?

But there was no time for Wang Lin to overthink it, so he replied, "Lowering my head to think of my hometown."

Shi Gan's fist smashed toward him.

Wang Lin retreated instantly.

He backed away three meters and stood at the doorway, watching Shi Gan.

"How did you figure it out?"

Wang Lin smiled. "Then what is the code? Did I not get it right?"

Shi Gan replied, "It should be: 'Moonlight before the bed, two pairs of shoes on the floor.'"

Wang Lin nodded. "I'll remember that."

Shi Gan only then realized that Wang Lin had been fishing for information and that he had fallen for the trap. "You were trying to trick me into talking?"

"You said it yourself. I didn't force you."

Shi Gan gritted his teeth, a grinding sound echoing, while an earth-yellow light swirled around his fingertips.

A stone wall rose up before him.

A stone wall rose up before him, blocking the space between them and obscuring their view of each other.

His fingers touched the hilt of the laser sword.

He pressed the button on the hilt, and the red light blade lit up with a buzzing sound.

Without hesitation, he thrust the sword into the Earth Wall.

The red light blade sliced through the stone wall.

Shi Gan watched as that red light pierced through the Earth Wall and punched through from the other side, carrying the aura of death.

His pupils constricted sharply, and his body instinctively tried to dodge, but it was clearly too late.

The red light blade had already pierced his chest; blood gushed from the wound, splattering onto the floor and the wall.

A scream like a slaughtered pig erupted from Shi Gan's throat.

He looked down at his chest and the red light blade. "You… you… despicable…"
