19: Chapter 19 What kind of monster are you?

Two figures walked out of the mist.

The scarred man Zhou Lie, and that young person.

Both of them were injured.

A gash had been cut into Zhou Lie's arm, blood dripping down from his elbow;

That person's clothes were torn, revealing a bruised arm.

As for him, having just cast seven walls of fire, the power within his body was almost completely drained.

Wang Lin did not speak, simply standing up straight slowly.

Zhou Lie looked at him, the corners of his mouth slowly spreading into a smile.

"Four thousand points, right?"

Wang Lin still did not speak.

That young person stepped forward, his gaze filled with undisguised greed.

"Boss, I heard it just now, this kid said it himself, four thousand points."

He nodded and took two steps closer to Wang Lin.

"Kid, you saw the situation just now."

"Our people died, the Spider Nest we'd been watching for months is ruined, all because of you."

"How should we settle this account?"

Wang Lin looked at him and asked, "How do you want to settle it?"

Zhou Lie laughed.

"Simple. Transfer four thousand points to us. Consider it compensation."

He tilted his chin at the person beside him: "A-Qing, show him the goods first."

The person called A-Qing stepped forward, his body beginning to change.

Dark gray patterns emerged on the surface of his skin, and his muscles expanded at a Speed visible to the naked eye.

His frame grew a size larger than before, his hands turned into sharp claws, and his nails were fully three inches long.

Enhancement-type Calamity.

But he wasn't in a rush to attack, simply standing five meters away, staring coldly at Wang Lin.

Zhou Lie stepped back twice, arms crossed, with an expression of watching a good show.

"A-Qing, play with him a bit."

He was very cautious, intending to let A-Qing test the waters first.

A-Qing grinned, kicked off the ground, and lunged forward like a cannonball.

The Speed was astonishing.

Wang Lin's pupils constricted, and he dodged to the side with all his might.

The sharp claws grazed his shoulder, tearing off a piece of clothing.

A burning pain came from his shoulder; three bloodstains, not deep, but painful enough.

He gritted his teeth and struck out with a palm, blue flames rushing straight toward A-Qing's face.

A-Qing dodged to the side; the flames from that palm were clearly much weaker, not even burning a corner of his clothes.

"As expected, you're out of strength!" A-Qing's eyes lit up, and he lunged again.

Wang Lin staggered backward, his back hitting a tree.

A-Qing's sharp claws pierced the tree trunk, three inches deep, missing his neck by only half an inch.

Wang Lin seized the opportunity to kick him in the abdomen, pushing him away.

A-Qing retreated two steps, rubbed his stomach, and grinned.

"Still have the strength to kick? Not bad, not bad."

He lunged again.

This time, Wang Lin couldn't dodge.

The sharp claws pierced his abdomen; although it didn't puncture through, it dug an inch into his flesh.

Wang Lin let out a muffled groan and smashed his fist into A-Qing's face.

A-Qing's head tilted to the side, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth,

but he didn't let go, instead pushing his claws in another fraction of an inch.

"Is that all the strength you have? Are you scratching an itch?"

Wang Lin gritted his teeth, gathered a ball of blue fire in his other hand, and pressed it against his face.

A-Qing screamed, finally letting go and backing away.

He covered his face, a patch of skin on his face scorched, sizzling and smoking.

"Damn brat, you ruined my face..."

He stared viciously at Wang Lin, but didn't rush forward again.

Wang Lin looked down at his abdomen, where four bloody holes had appeared, seeping blood.

He gasped for air, his vision starting to blur.

Zhou Lie watched from the side with great interest and even whistled: "A-Qing, stop playing around, finish it quickly."

A-Qing nodded and lunged again.

This time, he didn't test anything, attacking directly with full force.

The sharp claws went straight for Wang Lin's throat.

Wang Lin dodged the first claw to the side, and the second claw arrived.

The third claw, the fourth claw; each claw faster than the last, each one more ruthless.

Wang Lin dodged with all his might, but was still scratched on the chest and arm by one claw each.

He staggered backward, his legs weak, almost falling.

A-Qing seized the chance to lunge, one claw piercing toward his heart.

For this claw, Wang Lin didn't dodge.

Just as the sharp claws were about to pierce him, his body began to change.

He was waiting, waiting for an opportunity.

If he had transformed from the start, the opponent would have been on guard, making a one-hit kill difficult.

At this moment, dark red patterns emerged on his skin, and six tentacles burst out from his back.

A-Qing's sharp claws pierced one of the tentacles and were stuck fast by the barbs.

He was stunned.

The next second, two other tentacles pierced his body simultaneously.

One pierced the abdomen, the other the chest.

A-Qing's eyes widened, and blood gushed from his mouth.

He wanted to struggle, but the suckers on the tentacles began to squirm, crazily absorbing the power within his body.

Sequence 0: Infinite Evolution, activate!!!

"You..." he only managed one word before his body began to wither.

The gray patterns on his skin faded rapidly, the expanded muscles shrank back to their original state, and the sharp claws turned back into human hands.

It took less than three seconds.

Wang Lin's tentacles released, and A-Qing's corpse collapsed softly to the ground, eyes still open, but devoid of light.

Wang Lin gasped for air, his tentacles waving wildly in the air.

A wild and violent power surged into his body; it was A-Qing's enhancement power.

He could feel his muscles expanding, his bones hardening, and his strength increasing exponentially.

Zhou Lie stood five meters away, the smile on his face completely vanished.

He looked at A-Qing's corpse,

looked at the blood-dripping tentacles behind Wang Lin,

and looked at Wang Lin's increasingly bright eyes.

"Damn it..."

He raised both hands, and a dozen Wind Blades formed instantly.

Wang Lin turned his head and looked at him.

That gaze instantly soaked Zhou Lie's back in cold sweat.

But he was a Wind Element Awakened, Sequence 45, having spent two years in this camp; he wasn't some newcomer who hadn't seen the world.

He gritted his teeth, waved his hands, and a dozen Wind Blades shot toward Wang Lin, blotting out the sky.

Wang Lin did not dodge.

He simply raised his hand and smashed his fist into the foremost Wind Blade.

His fist collided with the Wind Blade, and the Wind Blade shattered.

Only a faint white mark was left on Wang Lin's fist.

Zhou Lie's pupils constricted.

What kind of monster is that?!

Didn't he have no power left?

How did he recover his power?

This is unscientific.

These thoughts raced crazily through Zhou Lie's mind.

After transforming into a Calamity, although his strength increased, the energy loss within his body should have been faster; how could it recover instantly?

And it felt even stronger than before?

And those tentacles...

He had seen with his own eyes that Wang Lin used fire abilities just now; that was a Sequence 036 ability.

Although he didn't know why his flames were blue, it was still a Sequence ability.

But this monster covered in tentacles before him was clearly in a Calamity form.

How could a Calamity have the abilities of an Awakened?

He couldn't figure it out.

He really couldn't figure it out.

What kind of thing possesses both the physical body of a Calamity and the abilities of an Awakened?

There was no time to think; Wang Lin had already charged over.
