64: Chapter 64 Whipping the Corpse

Commander Tie Mu struggled to stand up, his legs still trembling.

"I concede," Commander Tie Mu said.

The referee glanced at him and was about to raise his hand when Captain Huo Xiao spoke up.

"No."

A single word, very soft, but in the quiet Arena, everyone heard it clearly.

The referee's hand froze in mid-air, Commander Tie Mu's pupils contracted again, and all eyes in the stands were fixed on Captain Huo Xiao.

"Brother Tie, three days ago when you brought people to block Wang Lin at the entrance of the camp, you said one thing: 'This matter is not over'."

"Now, I want to say the same thing to you. This matter is not over."

Commander Tie Mu's Adam's apple bobbed.

He understood what Captain Huo Xiao meant: it wasn't that he wouldn't concede, but that he wouldn't accept the concession.

The outcome of this Arena match had been determined three days ago.

It wasn't a best-of-three, nor a best-of-five, but a fight to the death.

"Captain Huo Xiao, do you really have to do this?"

"Brother Tie, if you lose the match, Blood Fang can still survive."

"But you touched Wang Lin, so..."

"...You must die."

When Captain Huo Xiao mentioned Wang Lin again, Commander Tie Mu finally figured everything out.

Wang Lin's surname is Wang, and Chen Long's surname is not Chen. Only a few people know that Chen Long's surname is Wang.

A trace of despair flashed in Commander Tie Mu's eyes.

It wasn't fear of death, but a form of resignation.

He had touched Chen Long's son; the fact that Chen Long hadn't acted personally was already giving him immense face.

Now, Chen Long's people had come to collect the debt.

There was no way he could escape it.

But he, Commander Tie Mu, even if he were to die, would die standing.

He took a deep breath and resumed his offensive stance.

Vajra Transformation covered his entire body again; although the dark golden light was much dimmer than before, it was still indestructible.

His legs were trembling, his stamina was bottoming out, but his eyes were bright.

That was a warrior's final dignity.

"Come on," Commander Tie Mu said.

Captain Huo Xiao moved.

His Speed was astonishingly fast—not Split, not Regeneration, but the purest explosive power of LV7.

The moment he moved, his body split into two, then into four, then into eight.

Eight Captain Huo Xiaos lunged at Commander Tie Mu from eight directions—the exact same tactic as before, but the Speed and power were on a completely different level.

Commander Tie Mu's Gravity Domain expanded once again, but this time, it didn't even hold for a second.

The LV7 power cut through the barrier of the Gravity Domain as easily as a red-hot knife through butter.

Commander Tie Mu felt his domain collapsing—not broken, but crushed.

There was no suspense when an LV6 faced an LV7.

Eight Captain Huo Xiaos struck at the same time.

Not fists, not feet, but palms.

Eight palms pressed onto Commander Tie Mu's body simultaneously: chest, back, shoulders, ribs, the back of his neck...

Every vital point was covered by a palm.

Commander Tie Mu's body froze.

He felt something surging into his body from those palms.

His Gravity Domain was collapsing, his Vajra Transformation was disintegrating, and his stamina was ebbing away.

His legs finally gave out.

With a "thud," he knelt before Captain Huo Xiao.

Captain Huo Xiao withdrew his hands, and the eight split bodies merged into one.

"Brother Tie, rest in peace."

His voice was very soft, so soft that only Commander Tie Mu could hear it.

Commander Tie Mu's eyes slowly closed, his body leaned forward, and he collapsed onto the Arena floor.

The entire venue fell silent.

The Arena with thousands of people was as quiet as an empty city.

No one spoke, no one moved, no one even breathed.

The referee stood there, his lips trembling.

An LV6 powerhouse had died just like that, without a sound.

He took a deep breath and raised his hand: "The fifth match, Dark Blade wins."

As the referee's voice rang out, the entire venue erupted, everyone shouting Captain Huo Xiao's name.

Everyone knew that from this moment on, the Blood Tooth Mercenary Group was finished.

Dark Blade had once again demonstrated his power.

Captain Huo Xiao turned and walked off the Arena.

His face was as pale as paper, his forehead covered in sweat.

Having self-destructed a split body and then used his full strength to suppress Commander Tie Mu, his stamina was depleted.

If he hadn't advanced to LV7, he would have been the one to die when facing Commander Tie Mu and his domain.

Su Wan stood by his side, saying nothing, simply handing him a towel in silence.

Just then, a figure walked out from the passage of the rest area.

It was Wang Lin.

He walked onto the Arena, stood next to Commander Tie Mu's corpse, and looked down at the man lying on the ground.

People in the stands began to whisper to each other.

"What is he going to do?"

"Commander Tie Mu is already dead, why is he going up there?"

The murmurs surged like a tide, but Wang Lin ignored them.

He crouched down, reached out, and placed his hand on Commander Tie Mu's back.

The moment that hand touched Commander Tie Mu's body, it changed.

His fingers elongated, his skin split open, and several black Tentacles extended from his palm, burrowing into Commander Tie Mu's body like snakes.

The stands erupted in an uproar.

"What is he doing?!"

"What is that thing?!"

"My God! He's desecrating the corpse!"

"The Blood Fang leader is already dead, and he's still doing this?!"

"That's too much! Killing someone is the end of it; Commander Tie Mu was at least an LV6 powerhouse!"

"This kid is crazy!"

In the eyes of most people, a defeated opponent who is already dead should be treated with at least the bare minimum of respect.

Regardless of the grudges held in life, everything should end with death.

But Wang Lin was crouching there, black Tentacles burrowing into Commander Tie Mu's corpse; this scene had only one explanation in everyone's eyes.

He was insulting the deceased.

The people from Blood Fang stood at the entrance of the passage, looking at Wang Lin on the Arena, their expressions changing.

Shi Gan's eyes were still red, but now there was something else mixed into that redness: anger.

Commander Tie Mu was the leader he respected; he couldn't stand seeing him treated like this after death.

He stepped forward and charged: "You motherf..."

But Liu Kun stopped him.

He held his arm across Shi Gan's chest.

"Don't move. Wait and see."

Shi Gan gritted his teeth and ultimately didn't move.

Wang Lin ignored those voices.

Superpower [Vajra Transformation]: Can make the body harder than diamond.

This Superpower was slowly draining out of Commander Tie Mu's body.

What Wang Lin needed to do was intercept it before it dissipated completely.

The Tentacles found it.

It was a cluster of dark golden light, curled up in Commander Tie Mu's dantian, like a dying star.

The light flowed along the Tentacles, out of Commander Tie Mu's body, into Wang Lin's palm, into his veins, and into his dantian.

Wang Lin's body trembled slightly.

He could feel that power resonating with his own Petrification Superpower.

A few seconds later, Wang Lin opened his eyes and withdrew the Tentacles.

Then, he put his hands back into his pockets and turned to walk off the Arena.

At this moment, the people from Blood Fang rushed onto the Arena.

Shi Gan was the first to rush up; he threw himself beside Commander Tie Mu, knelt down, and reached out to support his leader's body.

Then his hand froze.
