69: Chapter 69 I Have No Weaknesses

Second strike: Wind Cutter.

The stone arm slashed down from above, fast as a grey-white lightning bolt.

This strike was faster, fiercer, and more relentless than Flow Breaker.

Wind Cutter—it didn't cut the wind; it cut the Speed of the wind.

With one strike, even the wind couldn't escape.

Lu Zhiyi's sword swept up from below, meeting Wang Lin's second strike.

The moment the blade and the stone arm collided, her knees bent slightly.

It wasn't that she couldn't hold on, but rather she was dispersing the force.

She guided Wang Lin's power down from the sword, through her knees, and into the ground.

The stone slabs cracked, spreading fine fissures in all directions with her feet as the center.

Third strike: Void Breaker.

This strike had no angle, no technique, only power.

Wang Lin's two stone arms swung out simultaneously, one high and one low, one left and one right, sealing off all of Lu Zhiyi's retreat paths.

As the blades cut through the air, the air itself seemed to tear, emitting a low sound.

Void Breaker—it didn't break the void; it broke space itself.

With this strike, even space had to make way.

Lu Zhiyi's sword drew circle after circle in front of her.

One circle, two circles, three circles; each circle dissipated a portion of the power.

Each circle caused Wang Lin's blade to veer off by just a little bit.

After three strikes, she retreated half a step, but her sword was still in her hand, and her breathing remained steady.

The corners of her mouth curled up slightly: "These moves aren't bad. Pity… they're useless against me."

Wang Lin's brows furrowed slightly.

He didn't speak, but his back began to squirm, and his clothes bulged outward.

Then, over a dozen Tentacles burst forth from his back.

Every Tentacle was a blade, and every Tentacle shimmered with a cold, grey-white light under the moonlight.

Over a dozen Tentacles swung out simultaneously, attacking Lu Zhiyi from different angles, at different Speeds, and with different levels of force.

Lu Zhiyi's expression finally changed.

Her sword danced before her, fast as a curtain of silver light, and the clanging of metal echoed through the alley.

She blocked the first strike, blocked the second, blocked the third, blocked the fourth.

But the fifth strike came from an unexpected angle, grazing her shoulder armor and leaving a shallow white mark on the silver plating.

Her footwork began to falter—not because she wasn't fast enough, but because Wang Lin had too many Tentacles.

Each Tentacle had its own angle, Speed, and power.

They didn't attack simultaneously; they attacked in an interlaced pattern, wave after wave, pressing down on her like a tide that never ceased.

No matter how fast her sword was, she only had one.

And Wang Lin had fourteen.

Just as she was exerting all her strength to fend off those Tentacles, a gust of wind came from behind.

Her instincts were faster than her brain.

Her body flashed to the left, and an Ice Element blade flew past her ear, shearing off a few strands of hair before embedding itself in the wall behind her.

She looked back and saw a person standing at the other end of the alley.

The same dark hoodie, the same expression.

Another Wang Lin.

Lu Zhiyi's pupils contracted sharply.

She looked at the Wang Lin in front of her, who was waving over a dozen Tentacles, then looked at the Wang Lin standing at the alley entrance with his hands in his pockets.

"You… how do you have so many Superpowers?"

"Shadow Shapeshifting, Petrification, Clone, Ice Element… just how many types of Superpowers do you have?"

Wang Lin didn't speak.

The Tentacles on his back retracted, shrinking back into his body, and his clothes returned to their original state.

The Wang Lin at the alley entrance walked over and stood beside him.

Wang Lin stomped his foot, and another clone appeared.

Three Wang Lins, identical, impossible to tell which was the original and which were the clones.

All three Wang Lins spoke at the same time, their voices overlapping like a multi-channel playback:

"My Superpower is Replication."

"I can replicate the Superpowers of others and then store them."

"The usage duration for each Superpower is one hour."

Lu Zhiyi's expression was one of utter shock.

It was the instinctive shock one feels when facing something that exceeds the scope of one's cognition.

Replication Superpower? Storing Superpowers? Each Superpower lasts for an hour? What kind of monster is this?

She had seen Awakened, seen Calamities, seen all sorts of strange Superpowers, but she had never seen anything like this.

To be able to turn others' Superpowers into one's own, store them, and use them at will.

This meant that for every Superpower he possessed, he had a corresponding way to fight.

You never knew what his next move would be, because he might not have decided himself.

"There's actually a Superpower like this?" Lu Zhiyi's voice was very low, as if she were thinking about something.

The three Wang Lins took a step forward simultaneously, their strides uniform, their expressions synchronized.

Their voices overlapped once again: "Since you know my secret, I can't let you leave."

Lu Zhiyi didn't move.

She was calculating whether she could handle three Wang Lins at once.

She could beat one Wang Lin, two was a stretch, but three…

At this moment, all three Wang Lins moved at once.

One rushed forward, over a dozen Tentacles exploding outward again;

One flanked from the left, ice-blue light gathering in his palm;

One circled behind from the right, his body turning into a mass of black mist.

Three-pronged attack, three directions, three different Superpowers, launched simultaneously.

Lu Zhiyi drew a circle with her sword in front of her, blocking the first wave of Tentacle attacks from the front.

She leaned back, dodging the Ice Element blade shooting from the left,

At the same time, she kicked out with her right foot, striking the mass of black mist on the right, forcing the Wang Lin who had just solidified back two steps.

It wasn't that her sword wasn't fast enough, but that she didn't have enough hands.

The Wang Lin in front had too many Tentacles; she blocked six, but the seventh grazed her waist, leaving another white mark on her silver armor.

The eighth swept up from below; she jumped to dodge, but the ninth was already waiting at her landing spot.

She held her sword horizontally in front of her, blocking the ninth Tentacle, but the tenth smashed down from above her head.

Her body shot backward like an arrow released from a bow, instantly opening up a distance of over ten meters.

Her chest was heaving violently, and there were several white marks on her silver armor.

But she was still standing, and her sword was still in her hand.

The three Wang Lins stood opposite her, not pursuing.

They just stood there, not hurried, not panicked, because the outcome was already determined.

Lu Zhiyi took a deep breath and sheathed her sword back at her waist.

"One hour, your Superpower can only be used for one hour."

"How much time has passed now? Ten minutes? Twenty minutes?"

Wang Lin looked at her without speaking.

"No matter how many Superpowers you have, you only have one hour."

"After one hour, your replicated Superpowers will disappear, and then you'll be an ordinary person."

She began to retreat.

"Tomorrow, I will come to find you again."

"By then, your Superpowers will have expired. What will you use to fight me?"

Her voice drifted over from the entrance of the alley, growing fainter and further away,

"Tomorrow, you will surely die."

Wang Lin stood in place, watching her slowly disappearing figure, and spoke:

"It's useless; I will replicate new Superpowers before the old ones disappear."

"I… have no weaknesses…"

Lu Zhiyi's footsteps paused for a moment.

She didn't speak again, turned, and disappeared around the street corner.
