13: Started busy early in the morning
In the bright room, Liu Xiaolin sat at his desk, tapping it lightly as he calculated.
With the orders, they had to quickly ramp up production.
Deputy Factory Director Wang Shengjun was almost sixty years old this year, and it was clear he would retire in a few years.
With age comes experience, and Deputy Factory Director Wang had worked alongside my father from the factory's founding until today. He was still very sharp and capable, but a bit out of touch with the times, handling many matters more conservatively.
Moreover, after he retired, they would have to select a new deputy factory director. How could they quickly find a suitable one in a rush?
They should start selecting someone now to be a Factory Director assistant, working and learning simultaneously. This way, once Deputy Factory Director Wang retired, someone could immediately take over the work.
As for candidates? There weren't any suitable ones yet. There was no rush; they could look slowly and discuss it when a suitable person appeared.
After Liu Xiaolin made up his mind, he stopped thinking about it and picked up a book titled "Enterprise Management" from his desk that he hadn't finished reading.
After all, he was still young and lacked experience in many things; there was nothing wrong with studying more.
After reading over thirty pages, he felt sleepy, so he washed up and went to bed.
He fell asleep not long after lying in bed. He had indeed been exhausted these past two days.
The next morning, Liu Xiaolin hurriedly finished breakfast and drove to Jiangnan Machinery Factory.
Upon entering the factory, he saw employees walking towards the new workshop in groups of three or five.
He originally wanted to follow them to the new workshop to take a look, but on second thought, he decided against it.
Liu Xiaolin first went to his office because management personnel would come here to ask for his instructions if they had anything.x33xs.com
If he also went to the workshop, it might delay important matters.
As expected, just after he sat down, someone knocked on the door.
He called out, "Come in!"
The door was immediately opened, and Zhao Rui entered.
Holding a document, Zhao Rui said, "General Manager Liu, this is yesterday's meeting minutes. I've given you a copy, and I've also given copies to Deputy Factory Director Wang and other middle management personnel."
Liu Xiaolin took the document: "Hmm, good, that was quick. Did you work overtime last night?"
"No, I arrived at the factory at six-thirty this morning and finished organizing it before work," Zhao Rui said with a smile.
"Hmm, thank you for your hard work. If you have time today, go listen to the training courses in the new workshop. We also need to make intensive preparations for welcoming General Manager Zhang and the others from Chunfeng Changan Group."
Liu Xiaolin hoped everyone could understand the factory's new products.
"Understood, I'll go study in a bit. I guess everyone isn't here yet. Do you have anything else you need me to do?" Zhao Rui asked.
"Nothing else. Could you please call Deputy Factory Director Wang over? I have something to discuss with him," Liu Xiaolin said.
"Okay, I'll go call him. Please continue with your work," Zhao Rui said, turning around and walking out, closing the door behind him.
After a while, there was another knock on the door.
"Please come in!" Liu Xiaolin guessed it must be Deputy Factory Director Wang. After saying "Please come in," he stood up and walked to the door to greet him.
The person who came was indeed Wang Shengjun. He was just about to go check out the new workshop when Zhao Rui called him over.
"Xiaolin, what do you need me for?" Wang Shengjun asked with a smile.
He had watched Liu Xiaolin grow up and treated him like his own child, so when no one else was around, he always called him by his first name.
"Uncle Wang, please sit down quickly." Liu Xiaolin motioned for Wang Shengjun to sit.
"It's like this, our factory is slowly starting to get busy, and I'm worried that you are getting old and might get tired if you're too busy. So, I plan to hire an assistant for you." Liu Xiaolin laid out everything he had planned last night to Wang Shengjun.
"My health is still fine, I don't need an assistant." Wang Shengjun didn't think much about it and directly declined.
"Yes, you do. You are a veteran employee of the factory, a national treasure-level leader for our factory; we can't let you get tired. Moreover, the new assistant will need you to guide them a lot," Liu Xiaolin said.
"Alright then, consider it training a management talent for the factory before I retire." Wang Shengjun was a clear-minded person and naturally understood Liu Xiaolin's meaning. He was open-minded and didn't mind.
"Uncle Wang will have to work harder then. Also, do you have a candidate for this assistant? This is the person you will use, so you choose one. I trust your judgment of people," Liu Xiaolin said.
"I just found out about this today, so I don't have any ideas yet. When I see a suitable person, I'll tell you," Wang Shengjun said.
"Okay, okay, then I'll trouble Uncle Wang to keep an eye out," Liu Xiaolin said sincerely.
"Understood, I will keep an eye out. If there's nothing else, I'll leave now. I plan to quickly go to the new workshop to check on the employee training," Wang Shengjun said, standing up to leave.
"You go ahead then, I'll also go take a look in a while," Liu Xiaolin said, standing up and seeing Wang Shengjun to the door.
After seeing Wang Shengjun off, Liu Xiaolin turned back and sat down at his desk, flipping through the meeting minutes Zhao Rui had brought over.
Although he had personally presided over the meeting yesterday, looking at it again, he still had many ideas.
Especially regarding quality inspection, there should still be room for improvement.
