209: Discovering a large number of antiques

Expert Mo saw that the seven to eight meters of the hull that had been cleared were only a small part of the ship's body, indicating that the ship was at least thirty meters long.

Currently, the seven to eight meters is just a corner of the bow, and the entire hull is still in the mud. It would indeed be very time-consuming and labor-intensive for three people to clear it.

"Don't worry, after we clear the bow, we will use the equipment on Explorer II's defense system for cleaning. If we relied solely on the three of us, it would take a month to finish," Liu Xiaolin replied.

The three continued to clear the mud. After more than three hours of cleaning, the shipwreck's gunwales and deck positions slowly became visible.

The total length of this shipwreck is about 35 meters, and its width is 12 meters, making it look spectacular.

It had been sleeping on the seabed for over five hundred years, and the parts that were cleared looked intact, which was exciting and encouraging.

However, the parts currently cleared are only the deck and gunwales. The height of the hull in the mud is still unknown, so this is no longer something that can be completely cleared by human power.

"Request return to cabin, request return to cabin," Liu Xiaolin requested to the personnel in the cockpit.

"Okay, releasing the basket immediately," the driver said, pressing the button and releasing the basket.

After Liu Xiaolin and the divers got into the basket, the basket ascended. Upon reaching the submarine, it stopped in the ballast tank between the inner and outer hulls. After draining the seawater from the basket into the ballast tank, the basket continued to ascend back to the cockpit, and the three successfully exited.

"Now we need to plan how to clean the mud from this shipwreck," Liu Xiaolin said after taking off his diving gear and wetsuit.

"Explorer II's defense system has a water spraying function, which should be usable to clean the shipwreck. However, to avoid causing large swings of the hull and damaging the antiques on board, we must use two robotic arms to secure the hull," Driver A said.

"This plan is feasible, but the force of the water spray must not be too strong. Even if the cleaning speed is slower, we must protect the antiques on board," Expert Mo nodded and said.

So, the driver pressed the button, and the huge robotic arms secured the gunwales on both sides of the shipwreck. This scene looked like a person holding a cradle, giving a very stable and secure feeling.

Next, a water sprayer extended from the left and right sides of the submarine. The other end of the sprayer drew in seawater from outside the submarine's side. After the sprayer drew in enough seawater, it began spraying water around the shipwreck like a car wash, gradually revealing one meter, two meters, three meters of the hull. For every meter of the hull washed out, Explorer II needed to circle the shipwreck once. In this way, after circling more than twenty times, the entire shipwreck was cleaned.

In other words, this was a three-story cargo ship, 35 meters long, 12 meters wide, and 20 meters high.

"Oh, this method is perfect. Not only is it fast, but it also won't damage the shipwreck," Expert Mo watched as the shipwreck was slowly cleaned, gradually revealing the entire hull, and was so happy he couldn't close his mouth.

"Now that the shipwreck is fully exposed, a few of us need to go down again. This ship appears to have three levels, and we need to clear some of the mud from the cabins. These are areas that the water sprayer couldn't clean thoroughly," Liu Xiaolin said, then put on his diving gear again and went down to the seabed with the two professional divers to prepare for further cleaning.

The three swam to the deck, checked around, and found the hatch. The three squeezed in through the hatch.

Because the hatch was closed, although the cabin was full of water, there was surprisingly little mud. The first level seemed to be where the crew rested, as there were wooden bunks and some broken cloth strips. But there were no remains. It is estimated that when they discovered the ship was about to sink, everyone transferred to other ships and just let the ship sink.

The second level was truly astonishing. Here, the shelves were filled with neatly packaged wooden boxes.

Liu Xiaolin reached out and opened a wooden box, seeing that it was filled with porcelain wrapped in oil paper. He picked up a piece of porcelain, a bowl with colored glaze peony petals. This bowl was exquisitely crafted and beautifully shaped, appearing elegant and generous under the headlamp light.

"We see that the second level is filled with porcelain, all of which are well-made," Liu Xiaolin exclaimed excitedly after opening several wooden boxes in a row, seeing various antique bowls, dishes, and plates, so that everyone in the cockpit could hear.

Director Mao and Expert Mo's hands were trembling with excitement at this moment. The second level was actually all porcelain, five hundred-year-old porcelain! These are all incredible antiques!

"Now let's go to the third level, let's go to the third level," Liu Xiaolin and the divers went up to the third level via the stairs inside the ship. This area was also filled with cargo.

Liu Xiaolin opened a wooden box and took a look. Good heavens, it was all jade! All kinds of jade!

"The cargo on the third level is all jade, including bracelets, Ruyi scepters, and jade Buddhas, all kinds of jade," Liu Xiaolin shouted even more excitedly after seeing it.

"This discovery is truly great, truly great," Director Mao was so excited he was almost in tears.

A full level of porcelain and a full level of jade, this is simply like a dream!

"We found that because the ship's hull was well-sealed, there was hardly any mud inside the cabins. All the mud was on the outside of the hull. Therefore, we should be able to start setting up lifting points to salvage the shipwreck and bring it up," Liu Xiaolin shouted to the people in the cockpit, "Expert Mo, where do you think it would be best to set up the lifting points?"

"I have carefully observed it just now. This ship has three levels, and each level has railings. We will use these railings and handrails as lifting points. This way, we won't need to drill holes and won't cause secondary damage to the shipwreck," Expert Mo had been looking for lifting points since he first saw the shipwreck, and now he was confident. 33 Novel Network

"Okay, okay, please lower the traction ropes, please lower the traction ropes, we will start tying the lifting points," Liu Xiaolin shouted.

In the cockpit, the driver pressed a button, and the submarine gradually ascended. After rising thirty meters, it stopped directly above the shipwreck. More than thirty traction ropes were dropped from the bottom of the submarine. These traction ropes were made of steel wire, combining flexibility and strength, with no possibility of breaking.

Liu Xiaolin and the two divers reached out, opened the top locks of the traction ropes, and directly hooked them onto the railings on each level.

In this way, three traction ropes were installed every few meters, and then three more traction ropes were installed every few meters. Soon, more than thirty traction ropes were installed all around the shipwreck, looking very stable and secure.
